One Piece: I Have a Billion Skill Points

Chapter 146: Chapter 144

When the bounties were announced, the differences were clear. The amounts seemed to reflect each crew member's time with Ron. Aisa and Raki, who joined later, had relatively low bounties, with Raki receiving the highest at only 780,000 Berries. Despite Apis joining early, her age kept her bounty low—even Conis, who wasn't a fighter, had a higher bounty.

Meanwhile, some crew members saw significant bounties. Mikita, for example, grinned proudly as she took in her bounty of 51 million Berries. Marianne, however, stayed unfazed, sipping tea with Robin despite her own bounty surpassing 8 million.

Kaya looked puzzled. "I'm just the ship's doctor. Why do I even have a bounty over 5 million?"

"Because you have a remarkable captain," Ron replied with a smirk.

"You're still laughing!" Nami huffed, casting him an annoyed look. "We're all in this mess because of you. What are we supposed to do now?"

"Relax! I've got it all under control," Ron said, waving his hand. "No need to worry. It's just a bounty, no big deal."

"Oh sure, easy for you to say with your whopping 1.8 billion bounty," Nami shot back. "Your price is so high that ours look like pocket change next to it!"

Ron shrugged. "Well, if anyone comes after us, they'll target me first. You all can just hang back. I've got it covered."

Nami rolled her eyes. "And once they're done with you, they'll be coming for us!"

"Coming for me?" Ron grinned, brimming with confidence. "They'd have to be capable first."

"Ron, I love your confidence!" Kaya said, looking up at him with admiration.

"I do too! Me too!" Apis and Aisa chorused.

"You little ones!" Mikita laughed. But then she glanced at Ron with curiosity. "With a bounty that high, do you feel any pressure?"

"Pressure?" Ron put on an exaggerated sigh. "Ah, the burden of fame. It's not easy, you know."

Robin chuckled, shaking her head at Ron's shameless attitude.

After the laughter died down, Ron looked at Nami. "How much longer until we reach Water 7?"

"We're close," Nami answered after a glance at her navigation instruments. "Tomorrow by noon if the wind holds."

"Perfect! Makino, why not prepare a big dinner tonight? We can resupply tomorrow," Ron suggested.

"You got it!" Makino smiled. "Tonight, I'll team up with Conis and Nojiko to put together a feast!"

Apis cheered, "Yes! My favorite! Makino, can I have extra juice?"

"And I want milk!" Aisa added.

"Of course!" Makino chuckled. "Captain Ron did say to go all out!"

That night, Makino, Nojiko, and Conis prepared a spectacular meal. They cooked up dishes that delighted everyone, and Ron raised his glass to toast the crew.

"Celebrating again?" Nami teased. "Just because our bounties went up? Honestly, Captain, you're unbelievable."

Ron grinned. "Come on, just enjoy the food and drink."

Even the more reserved members eventually loosened up, sharing laughs and drinks until everyone was sated. One by one, the girls drifted off to their rooms, the Ark anchored for the night.

Later, as Nami wandered back to her room, a bit dizzy, she stumbled upon Ron's door and found herself knocking, though not entirely sure why…

---(I'm too tired to actually make a scene for this. use your imagination *Spongebob meme*)---

The next morning, Nami woke up to a golden ray of sunlight, blinking as she realized where she was—and who was beside her. Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Ron, who just yawned and stretched lazily.

"Oh, morning Nami," he said, casually glancing her way. "Nice day, huh?"

She glared at him, speechless.

"What? This is my room, you came here yourself, remember?" Ron said, trying to look innocent. "Not that I'm complaining."

Nami groaned, clutching her head. "So, this is it? My dignity, just gone like that?"

"Destroyed? You practically attacked me last night," Ron protested, smirking. "If anything, I should be the one complaining—my poor, defenseless self, caught off guard."

"Defenseless?" Nami rolled her eyes, but she couldn't stop herself from cracking a smile. She sighed, resigned. "Let's just forget it."

Ron grinned, pulling her close. "No forgetting. I'll take responsibility for you."

Nami, feeling herself blush, broke free. "Right, well…we've got a ship to sail. And if we're late on deck, who knows what the others will think…"

"Let them think what they want to think!" Ron doesn't let go, and pulled Nami back under the sheets.
