Chapter 472 - 472: Unless Someone Deliberately Erases It

Chapter 472: Chapter 472: Unless Someone Deliberately Erases It

Dan Hanjie’s imposing figure came to a halt and then he walked to the wardrobe, pulling open the door.

The wardrobe was slightly disheveled as if Qin Youxuan had been rifling through it, several clothes had fallen from the hangers…

The clothes she most often wore were all gone.

Dan Hanjie walked to the desk and opened the drawer.

All the jewelry boxes were neatly placed inside, she hadn’t worn any of the diamonds or jewelry he had bought for her, and certainly hadn’t taken any away.

Except for the wedding ring…

Dan Hanjie’s gaze slightly narrowed, and he closed the drawer.

Closing his eyes, he slowly walked out of the room, following the path she had taken when she left as he remembered it.

According to the surveillance video, she had avoided everyone, carrying her suitcase alone to the side and back of the villa and then vanished…

Dan Hanjie stood at the entrance to the backyard and opened his eyes quickly.

It was here.

His sharp black eyes scanned everything around him.

After multiple searches, there were footprints all over Yujing Villa, unable to discern how many people had been here, whether they were before or after Qin Youxuan.

Dan Hanjie crouched down, his long finger pinching a bit of wet soil, he gripped it for a moment and then let go.

There was fine dust left on the tip of his finger.

A few more rubs and it would disappear.

The backyard had a swimming pool, the surrounding areas would be more humid due to soil moisture, footsteps would be left anywhere people had passed, unless intentionally erased by someone.

Dan Hanjie’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he strode further into the yard.

All the way to the swimming pool.

His tall silhouette stopped near the pool drain, looking down at the smooth ground, his gaze flickering.

The whole backyard had been searched, it was in disarray, except this place which emanated an unnameable cleanliness.

Even the footprints on the ground were unusually orderly.

Dan Hanjie crouched on the swimming pool steps, touching the rough anti-slip staircase, he spotted several tiny scrapes on it, his gaze turned solemn.

“Someone!”

Yao had always been nearby, waiting for orders. On hearing Dan Hanjie’s voice, he quickly marched into the backyard.

He glanced at the pool that showed no signs of any abnormalities and then towards Dan Hanjie who had called him.

“Mr. Jie, we’ve searched everywhere here and found nothing.”

“That’s because you’re useless,” Dan Hanjie responded coldly, his long finger pointing towards the clear surface of the swimming pool, “I want all the water drained and the drainage channel underneath it uncovered.”

“Yes.”

Yao’s eyes lit up as he swiftly started giving orders to clear the pool.

“Howl—”

A clear wolf howl echoed from the entrance of the backyard.

Upon seeing Dan Hanjie, Da Bai quickly bypassed the obstructing bodyguards and leaped into the area.

The snow-white figure repeatedly rubbed against Dan Hanjie’s leg.

“Did you find anything?”

Dan Hanjie turned his head to look at it, Da Bai let out a whimper and looked dejected, dropping its head.

It hadn’t been able to detect Qin Youxuan’s scent in the villa.

“You can’t even sniff her scent, this only confirms my suspicions.” Dan Hanjie rubbed Da Bai’s head then gestured for it to move aside.

Da Bai was always obedient, at Dan Hanjie’s signal, it quickly withdrew to the side.

The bright wolf eyes stared fixedly at the swimming pool.

It would take some time to drain such a large pool.

As they waited, Da Bai grew impatient, darting around Dan Hanjie’s figure, wanting to jump into the water but was stopped by someone nearby.

“Mr. Jie, draining the pool will probably take some time, do you want to go back to your room and rest?” Yao stood by the side and asked worriedly, looking at the half-drained pool.

Who knew how long more this would take.
