Chapter 944: Will Of The Sword Saint.
Shi Lang was taken away by Lady Yao to a secluded place deep in the wilderness. The Terran had carved out a cave behind a waterfall. The cave was hidden behind a thick wall so the people would not be able to detect them easily.
Lady Yao looked at him sitting in the void with his legs crossed and eyes closed. These days, he had comprehended a lot of things, and was using that knowledge to add another layer of petals to his Dao Lotus and breakthrough to the next realm.
The lady was here to guard him but the subtle fluctuation of the Dao Runes forming inside Shi Lang's consciousness was surprising. She had never seen this sort of fluctuation and erected multiple protection and isolation formations around Shi Lang. She watched the young man with patience, and after making sure that he was immersed in cultivation, she also closed her eyes to meditate.
...
While the Protagonist was immersed in cultivation the rest of the world was hunting for him. The human race had always been too competitive, and greedy. The news of his appearance and acknowledgement by the Heaven Forging Pillar shocked the human grandmasters and they rushed to the Titan City.
Fortunately, they could not find out anything significant since Shi Lang already left the place. However, unfortunately, a few people had taken a good look at the Terran and decided to make a fortune by selling his portraits. Shi Lang gained fame, but no one could track him down.
The word reached the Martial Spirit Hall, as well as the enemies. The Situ Family made a deal with a few opportunistic forgers that if they find Shi Lang they would help them acquire his technique.
That was how it was, humans were their biggest enemies. Tong Bai was returning from her divination shop when she met someone she least expected to, Situ Xueyin. She frowned and her spirit energy came to life.
However, Situ Xueyin said, "Young Madam Tu, could you please rein in your rage?"
Tong Bai sneered and said, "If even you can address me as Young Madam Tu, I presume there is really something big about to happen."
Situ Xueyin looked around and said, "You need to be careful. If that young man comes back to your place, tell him to leave as quickly as possible."
Tong Bai chuckled and asked, "Why is it that you who were using him as a borrowed knife wish for him to leave?"
Situ Xueyin was surprised, and Tong Bai continued, "Don't think that only you are the smart one. That young man your family is targeting seven times more cruel and cunning then both of us combined. If that dog of your family wishes to go after him, I guarantee, he will not survive and all those who follow him will die as well.
I advise you, be careful and tell your confidants to stay back and not mess with him. You might still have a chance to live through."
That said, Tong Bai left the place and Situ Xueyin was shocked. She did not expect to receive a warning in return. Suddenly, she revealed a saddened smile on her face and mumbled, "I understand why he loved you more than anyone now. You are just like him, stubborn and fearless."
Tong Bai heard her but did not reply, she did not like her so called love rival. However, she pitied her, Situ Xueyin was the pride of Situ Family but after the death of the one she loved, she became a pawn for the family head and worked in the shadows, with the goal to bring down everyone involved in the death of Tu Qilin.
...
Shi Lang did not know how many people were arming up to get his techniques. Some people were fearful of his other identities, like the Tribulation Level Alchemist, however, some thought that fortune rewards the brave. Many alchemists came forward to try and seek Shi Lang's techniques.
While their was a number of people who condemned these actions, the majority of people kept quite.
The Terran sat inside the cave and continued comprehending his learnings. The Dao Flower had five layers of petals, and Shi Lang was condensing the first leaf in third one. The process would have been slower had it been a normal person, but Shi Lang was very clear of what he was going to do. He had no mental demons, and he was completely immersed in comprehension.
As he was comprehending time flew by, it took him two months to condense the first leaf and the moment the leaf stabilized, the shockwave of produced by it caused three of the five isolation barriers to shatter.
Lady Yao woke up and after observing Shi Lang for a few minutes, she nodded in affirmation. Shi Lang opened his eyes and said, "Teacher, I will go and face the tribulation."
Lady Yao nodded and Shi Lang waved his hand to open the void tunnel as he vanished from the spot. The lady took the normal exit out of the cave and came to the ground above. The sky was filled with thunder clouds and they even covered nine miles of area. Anyone who came within that range would die the most horrible yet painless death.
The clouds were swarming with golden lightning snakes. Yes, Lady Yao was surprised because she recalled what Cao Ming had told her, Shi Lang always had a golden lightning tribulation.
Suddenly, she frowned, she detected many people coming over and stopping in distance to watch the tribulation. A few of them appeared near Lady Yao. She did not act willfully and observed them for a bit.
The tribulation descended and Shi Lang faced it with a laughter that echoed through the surroundings. The people who came to watch were stunned by the intensity of the tribulation and the madness of the cultivator who was facing it.
One of the observers said, "Hmm, he is a talent indeed, standing before the golden tribulation with such courage. Too bad he has attracted so much attention to himself. I wonder if he will be able to walk away from here with his life intact."
Lady Yao frowned, she detected no malice from the person who spoke, and the few standing around him were also same, however, she would be a fool if she trusted this guy. Who knew if he was really here to appreciate Shi Lang or was he someone who would act as the fisherman.
The tribulation continued and Shi Lang absorbed as much of it as he could and the rest was channeled into the two swords he had forged in the Titan City. They were Dao Weapons and if he was to use them his strength would increase by three folds. So it was better to let is weapons go through the baptism as well.
The wounds on his body did not bother him much, as he thought, "Raksha, you can have your fill today."
Raksha replied, "Don't tell me to stop later then."
Shi Lang nodded and said, "Kill them all. Since they have already noticed me, it is good to make a statement so that they do not come up to me every few days."
The sword spirit chuckled, and as soon as the last bolt of the tribulation descended, Shi Lang received a light impact of it on his spirit sea. He was stunned, as this was unexpected, but the slaughter spirit absorbed all the lightning and Shi Lang recovered.
The clouds parted after thundering for a long time, as if expressing their dissatisfaction and Shi Lang bathed in golden light. Just when he was reaping the benefits of the heavenly providence some people moved.
Lady Yao wanted to charged forward, when she heard a light giggle echoing in the surrounding. The men shivered, and Lady Yao also could not help but clutch the hilt of her sword tightly.
Raksha manifested next to Shi Lang and said, "Lang, don't wake up soon."
The people who saw this entity narrowed their gazes, the entire void seemed to have been filled with blades that could cut them up. Raksha waved her hands and said, "So, you lot want to take the forging technique and alchemy technique from my Lang? Are you worthy? Would you even be able to comprehend his techniques if he was to donate it to you with that pea brain inside your skulls?"
One of the forging grandmaster was enraged and roared, "How dare you?! A meager sword spirit dares to speak such audacious words?"
The people nodded and Raksha turned to look at the old man as she caressed her lip and said, "Old as you are, your heart is vile and your mouth is filthy. Sigh, what a waste of life, resources, and skill. Pathetic."
She never put anyone in her vision. Even when she was still called Unity, she would tell people off with a gentle tone. It was just that the impact of the Shura Technique had changed her and she lost her filters. Even Shi Lang was not spared from her scolding let alone a stranger.
The old man raised his hammer and said, "Die, you filthy thing."
Raksha sighed as she flicked her fingers. The two Dao Swords levitated around Shi Lang, and one of them suddenly shoot through the void, and even before the old man could bring down his hammer, the sword penetrated his spiritual energy shield and was stabbed through his Dantian.
The people were shocked, but then they heard the old man wail, "How could you?! My Dao Flower has been destroyed."
Raksha chuckled and replied, "You all must have come to know that Lang is a Dao Forging Grandmaster, and a Tribulation Alchemist, but did you not hear that he is a sword saint? Hahahaha, fools, I am the manifestation of his Sword Dao, be glad that it is me who you are dealing with. If he woke up, you would lose your will before dying.
I am not just a sword spirit, my actions are the will of a sword saint. You lot just disrespected his dignity, and so you shall perish under his will."
Raksha waved her hands and the slaughter began. The will of the sword saint would die the heavens red, and that was what Raksha intended to do today.
