As A Dragon In Demon Slayer

Chapter 7: Demonic Hounds

As the vagina demon flew down the hallway, its leathery wings flapping steadily, the sound echoed softly off the wooden walls.

The hallway itself was plain, constructed entirely of unvarnished wood with no decorations to speak of, giving it a raw, almost eerie simplicity.

Children, their ages ranging from around ten to fifteen, were walking in the same hallway. They were dressed in surprisingly modern clothes for this era of Japan.

None of the children seemed the least bit fazed by the sight of the vagina demon soaring just above them. They barely spared it a glance, acting as though such a spectacle was as ordinary as a gust of wind.

Alright, maybe not daily ordinary, but it was clearly a regular enough occurrence that they had become numb to it.

The hallway was wide—at least fifteen feet across—allowing ample room for everyone to move without bumping into each other.

Yet the children walked in an orderly manner, as if afraid their footsteps might somehow damage the floor or disturb an unspoken rule.

As it flew, the vagina demon crossed paths with a few other demons, these ones clad in what looked like instructor uniforms.

It exchanged curt nods with them, a brief acknowledgment before continuing on its way toward its destination.

Clutching Jashin in its clawed grip, the demon's path was steady until it noticed something odd.

Tremble

Tremble

At first, it didn't pay much attention—Jashin's body trembled faintly, his small frame shuddering like a leaf caught in a breeze.

The demon chalked it up to the usual trauma that overtook kids kidnapped by its masters. Shock, terror, a complete mental breakdown—it was all par for the course.

In fact, this kind of reaction was ideal. A broken psyche made for better, more dangerous weapons in the long run.

But the trembling didn't stop.

Tremble.

Tremble.

The slight shudders escalated rapidly. Jashin's body began to quake so violently that even the demon, with all its indifference, couldn't ignore it anymore.

Its eyes narrowed in faint concern. This wasn't normal.

"What's wrong with this kid?" the demon muttered to itself, its voice rough and gravelly.

It tightened its grip slightly, not enough to harm but enough to steady him, as its unease began to grow. Losing a valuable investment so soon was not on the agenda.

TREMBLE.

TREMBLE.

The spasms became so intense that even the demon's wings faltered for a moment. Annoyance mixed with worry crossed its grotesque features as it studied Jashin. Something was clearly happening, but what?

First Person POV (Five Minutes Earlier)

What the hell is happening to me!? It feels like my mind is splitting apart, tearing at the seams, but instead of breaking down, I'm laughing. I'm laughing! HAHAHAHA—what's wrong with me?

Everything I thought was real—all the years I've lived, every memory I cherished or cursed—illusions.

They were all FUCKING ILLUSIONS! It's like the ground beneath my feet has vanished, leaving me floating in a void where nothing makes sense anymore.

I don't even know what's happening, but I can feel something changing—something deep, almost primal.

Is it my body morphing? My mind unraveling? Or maybe it's both.

Honestly, I don't even want to know. Whatever this is, it's obliterating everything I cared about, everything I believed in.

I can feel those pieces shattering into dust, burning away into nothingness. And the pain… oh god, the pain.

It's not physical. My body doesn't hurt, but my mind—my very soul—is being torn apart. The agony is so overwhelming that I can't even muster the strength to open my eyes.

How pathetic is that? I'm trapped inside my own head, a prisoner to this chaos.

My heart is racing, pounding so hard it feels like it might explode. It's not normal—not even close. It's like I'm high on something, something I never asked for.

And what's even weirder? I can feel it—my blood surging through my veins, pumping into my muscles like a floodgate's been opened.

Wait. Can a human even do that?

I don't know anymore. And I don't think I care.

Third Person POV (Present)

"Annoying pest…"

The sudden voice shattered the silence like glass, sharp and jarring. It was Jashin who spoke, but there was something different about him—something unrecognizable.

His voice was filled with a tone full of authority and malice that hadn't been there before. The demon holding him paused mid-flight, its grotesque features twisting in surprise.

"Let. Me. Go," Jashin commanded, his words cutting through the air like a blade. His eyes flickered open, glowing faintly with a strange intensity, and the tremors that had wracked his body began to slow.

Whatever had been happening inside him moments ago was no longer chaos—it was something controlled, something dangerous.

The demon's claws tightened instinctively, but it couldn't ignore the gnawing sense of unease creeping into its mind.

Before the vagina demon could react, Jashin's grip tightened. With a sudden, bone-crushing movement, he reached up and grabbed the demon's tentacle—the very one that had been holding him.

RIP!

The sound of tearing flesh echoed through the hallway, followed by a chilling scream that made the children nearby flinch.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The vagina demon's wail of agony filled the air as its tentacle was literally ripped from its body. Anyone would scream if they had their arm—or, in this case, tentacle—torn apart.

It wasn't just the pain; it was the shock of losing something so vital. The demon's cries echoed through the corridor, a desperate, guttural sound that made even the walls tremble.

The children, walking calmly just moments ago, froze in place. Almost all of them stopped to witness the scene, their eyes wide as they watched the demon writhe in pain.

But not a single one of them moved to help.

They had all been conditioned, brainwashed into thinking one simple thing: "Not my circus, not my monkey."

The demon, still shrieking, tried to fight back, its remaining tentacles flailing weakly as it gasped for breath. "Fucking br—"

Before it could finish its curse, Jashin, with a cold, almost indifferent expression, grabbed both sides of the demon's face.

There was no smile, no emotion—just the look of a god staring at an insignificant mortal. A gaze that spoke of deep, unrelenting boredom.

Rip!

With a sickening, swift motion, Jashin tore the demon in half, the sound of bone and sinew splitting apart resonating through the air like the snapping of a twig.

The demon's screeching stopped abruptly, replaced by nothing but the haunting silence of a body that could no longer scream.

As Jashin stood there, breathing heavily, the gore dripping from his hands, a voice broke the silence.

"Ara-Ara, what a spectacular sight…"

Jashin turned his head, his eyes narrowing as he saw a man standing behind him.

The man was casually holding a bucket, the kind you'd find at a fast-food joint, but instead of fried chicken, the bucket was filled with severed legs.

The man took a bite from one of them, chewing with delight as he looked at the destruction.

"Yo, kid, wanna join my class?" Douma asked, but in reality, he wasn't asking—he was telling Jashin.

.....

A/N: So, I tried writing in a different tone today, so do let me know what you think!

And by the way, don't mistake this arc for an academy-type arc—it's going to be way different.

Let me break it down for you so some of you won't complain. In this timeline, Muzan got a little smarter and realized that finding the Blue Spider Lily alone just wouldn't cut it.

Dealing with demon slayers was also becoming more troublesome.

So, he decided to build a secret organization called the "Demonic Hounds," where kids get kidnapped and then trained by demons—like the Lower Moons, Upper Moons, and others—and brainwashed into worshipping Muzan.

These trained kids are then sent off to different branches of the Demon Slayer Corps to infiltrate and slowly, piece by piece, destroy them by becoming key members.

Lastly, I'm going to add a lot of butterflies. If something happens in the past that wasn't in canon, it will affect the lore of the entire world.

Since I like to put myself in a character's POV and then decide what happens next, for example, I tried putting myself in Muzan's shoes and thought about what I'd do if I became a demon. Then I put myself in the Demon Slayer Corps' POV and thought about how they could counter Muzan's plan.

And yeah, that's how I'm trying to shape this story.

Hope you enjoy it to the end!
