Chapter 6:
Chapter 6: First Acquaintance:
After making up his mind, Wang Zhenxing called over a beautiful waitress passing nearby.
She glanced at the commotion happening at the table where the quarrel was taking place and hesitated, wanting to assist, but she couldn’t ignore Wang Zhenxing’s gesture.
With his commanding presence and aura of wealth, he immediately captured her attention.
“Sir, how can I assist you?” the waitress asked politely, balancing an empty plate and bowing slightly.
Without a word, Wang Zhenxing pulled out a stack of cash. He handed her five bills first and placed the rest on her plate. “Take this and tell those guests to quiet down. I’ve been busy all day and just want to enjoy a peaceful meal.”
After delivering his instructions, he resumed eating without another glance.
“Yes, sir,” the waitress replied, a mixture of surprise and happiness flashing across her face as she walked toward the noisy table.
At the other table, the scene grew heated.
“You owe me 10,000 yuan, or this won’t end well!” the female guest demanded angrily.
“Ma’am, I’ve only been working here a few days. I don’t have that kind of money,” Lin Keqing, the waitress involved, said nervously.
“Then call your family! Don’t tell me they can’t spare 10,000 yuan,” the guest retorted.
“I… I can’t,” Lin Keqing stammered, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Coming from a modest rural family, asking her parents for such a large amount would be an unbearable burden.
“Don’t waste my time! Where’s your manager? Call them over!”
Just then, the waitress carrying the plate approached.
“Qianqian, can you…” Lin Keqing started, thinking of borrowing money from her colleague.
Before she could finish, Feng Qianqian—the waitress holding the plate—interrupted. “Why are you being so unreasonable? It was an accident. If it’s about compensation, how about this?”
She set the plate down and threw the stack of cash onto the table in front of the guest.
The guest’s eyes widened in shock. A rough estimate suggested there was at least 15,000 yuan in cash on the table. In truth, her demand for 10,000 yuan had been an exaggerated statement. Even a few thousand would have satisfied her. After all, the spilled tea was only lukewarm and had merely dampened her clothes.
“Fine. Let’s call it even,” the woman said, her indignation fading.
The conflict ended as quickly as it had started.
“Qianqian, thank you so much. I’ll pay you back,” Lin Keqing said earnestly, pulling her friend aside.
“This isn’t my money,” Feng Qianqian replied with a sly smile.
“Whose money is it, then?” Lin Keqing asked, confused.
“The gentleman over there,” Feng Qianqian said, nodding toward Wang Zhenxing’s table.
Lin Keqing followed her friend’s gaze and saw a well-dressed man dining alone. His calm demeanor and refined appearance made him stand out.
“I don’t even know him. Why would he help me?” Lin Keqing asked, puzzled.
“He said he’s been busy all day and just wanted some peace. Your argument was disturbing his meal,” Feng Qianqian explained.
“He spent over 10,000 yuan just to quiet things down?” Lin Keqing’s jaw dropped in disbelief.
“Rich people think differently. Spending 10,000 yuan to them is like spending a single yuan to us,” Feng Qianqian said with a grin. Her eyes lit up as she recognized him. “Wait a minute… He looks familiar! That’s Diamond Wang Laowu, the famous billionaire of Qingling! His name is Wang… Wang Zhenxing, that’s it!”
“Wang Zhenxing?” Lin Keqing repeated, her tone softening. She had heard of him before—a self-made entrepreneur with a legendary reputation.
Seeing him in person, she thought he was even more handsome than the rumors suggested.

As Wang Zhenxing continued eating, he noticed the system notifications and the occasional glances from the two waitresses. Smiling to himself, he remained focused on his meal.
Moments later, Lin Keqing hesitantly approached his table.
“Sir, thank you for helping me earlier,” she said softly.
Hearing the gentle voice, he looked up. From afar, her stunning figure had caught his eye, but now, seeing her up close, her natural beauty became even more evident. With fair skin, an oval face, and delicate features, she exuded a youthful charm untouched by makeup.
Her slightly awkward demeanor suggested she was likely a college student working part-time.
“It was nothing,” he said coolly, his tone indifferent.
“For you, it might not be much, but it was a big deal to me. I… I promise to pay you back,” Lin Keqing insisted.
Her sincerity made him pause. Her simple, earnest demeanor was a stark contrast to the scheming women he usually encountered.
“There’s no need,” he replied nonchalantly.
“But I can’t just owe you,” she said firmly, a look of determination crossing her face.
Seeing her resolve, he relented. “Fine.”
“Can I get your contact information? I’ll return the money as soon as I can,” she asked hesitantly.
He extended his hand.
Understanding his gesture, Lin Keqing quickly handed him her phone. He dialed his number, letting it ring once before returning the device to her.
Now in possession of his contact, she said gratefully, “Thank you again. I won’t disturb you any longer.” She then returned to Feng Qianqian.
As she recounted the interaction, Feng Qianqian couldn’t help but shake her head. “You’re too honest for your own good. That’s over 10,000 yuan! Why insist on paying it back when he clearly doesn’t care?”
“I don’t feel right owing someone so much money,” Lin Keqing replied earnestly.
“You really are something else,” Feng Qianqian said with a sigh. “But honestly, getting his contact information? That’s something women dream about!”
“Can I see it? I want to save his number too,” Feng Qianqian asked excitedly.
Lin Keqing didn’t mind. She opened her call log, allowing her friend to jot it down.
“Why do you want his number?” Lin Keqing asked curiously.
“Someone like him—wealthy, charming, and generous—is rare. Even if I don’t stand a chance, maybe I can get some career advice,” Feng Qianqian said wistfully. “He’s a self-made business tycoon. Just a few words from him could save me years of trial and error.”
Lin Keqing smiled faintly, thinking about how differently people viewed someone like Wang Zhenxing. Meanwhile, at his table, Wang Zhenxing finished his meal, already thinking about how he could use this chance encounter to his advantage.
