Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Extraction Talent

Chapter 166: End of the Golden Star Academy Examination, FateBreaker is First

The remainder of the [Golden Star Academy Entrance Examination] went smoothly afterward.

Alex and Alice remained around the fourth floor to allow Aurelia to level up and for them to be sure that they were able to take care of the monsters.

Going to the fifth mean the possibility of meeting another [Floor Boss], though the one from above would probably even make Alex struggle.

He'd prefer going at it alone since it would mean at least not having to protect the two girls, but he would much rather do it later too anyway.

And so after a few days of constant battle, grinding, and breaks...

[Extraction talent activated: +218 Strength, +187 Vitality, +310 Spirit, +234 Agility...]
Continue your saga on empire

Ding!

[The Golden Star Academy Entrance Examination is over!]

[All monsters or players killed from now on will not give any points!]

[Please check the leaderboard for your points and position!]

All three did as told, opening up the leaderboard.

[Top 1: FateBreaker - 217,890 Points]

[Top 2: MartialMage - 210,800 Points]

[Top 3: Dawn - 207,720 Points]

[Top 4: StarPillow - 186,930 Points]

[Top 5: Aurelia - 150,040 Points]

[Top 6: Fallen Devil - 131,900 Points]

[Top 7: Muscles - 128,890 Points]

[Top 8: Tricky - 126,900 Points]

[Top 9: Donut - 117,480 Points]

[Top 10: Transcendance - 114,730 Points]

...

Obviously, as the event went on, people got tired and were forced to take small breaks, so the amount of points slowed down until a massive increase happening on the last day.

"MartialMage is second and Dawn is third," Alex groaned.

They had planned to take all top three rewards, but Daniel and Dawn, probably by using their guilds members, were allowed to soar this high.

Killing a player stole 1,000 points from them, meaning that they simply kept doing that over and over, those bastards.

They would still get rewards, obviously, but less than if they were all in the top three.

Though Alex still smiled: them doing all of this yet still being below Alex probably enraged them.

[All of those within the top 10,000 have received an invitation to access the Golden Star Academy!]

[To the top 10, you will receive your rewards shortly after leaving the tower.]

After that initial notification disappeared, Alex and all of those that met the first condition received another one.

Ding!

A panel in the shape of a golden letter appeared, and then after a few seconds it opened up, revealing the information.

[You have been accepted to Golden Star Academy!]

[You are free to come or not, our main goal is to show you ways to enhance your powers.]

All those accepted cheered, while those that didn't couldn't help but shout in rage after wasting an entire week in this tower.

Though of course, being out of the T10,000 probably meant that you were pretty damn weak to begin with.

[All of our new students will be able to attend classes or consult with some of our teachers.]

[Explore the academy however you like, a barrier will stop all intruders.]

[There are almost no rules, and fights between students are actually encouraged.]

[Good luck!]

During the 6 days Alex spent inside the fourth floor with Aurelia and Alice, he had managed to level up to level 360.

Alice on the other hand level up to level 315 and Aurelia went up to a staggering 247!

She didn't do much, though she tried, yet she was able to level up more than if she had tried herself for a month.

'Is Alex some sort of special class buff player?!' she wondered, her eyes sparkling.

And of course, Alex made sure to use [Skill Evolution] twice to make sure to upgrade his [Rock Crash] skill to Max-Tier.

Of course, it was possibly his weakest skill out of them all, but even then, the fact that it was the only one still at [Advanced] among all of those he had unlocked a while ago made him stress.

He had [Electric Storm] too, but he would do that later.

Ding!

[You have evolved "Rock Crash" (Advanced) to "Boulder Crash" (High-Tier)]

Ding!

[You have evolved "Boulder Crash" (High-Tier) to "Mountain Shatter" (Max-Tier)]

[Mountain Shatter; create a massive chunk of stone from the ground that can be thrown at the enemy dealing 500,000 damage, with a 70% chance of stunning; consumes 75,000 mana; 10-second cooldown.]

It was decent, but it was mostly the 70% stunning chance that make Alex interested in it.

Otherwise, its damage was way too low for the monsters he was currently fighting.

After reading the [Golden Letter] from the academy, every single player was surrounded by golden light, then teleported back to Star City.

The players that didn't quality were teleported back to their original locations, while on the other hand, those that did rank in the T10,000 were all... teleported in front of the academy's gate.

"What the hell?!"

"It's here!"

"Holy shit it's amazing..."

Alex, Alice and Aurelia were no different, teleporting right next to one another in front of the beautiful Golden Star Academy, the dream of many of these players.

They wanted to see what kind of skills or perks they would be able to get from it.

Even Aurelia seemed excited.

"I never thought I'd go to school in a game, but it looks... amazing."

"Huh?" Alex raised his eyebrows, "You know me and Alice aren't going, right? We just wanted to enter for the rewards and to have access to the academy."

"..." Aurelia was about to go on a beautiful speech about learning and gaining strength thanks to their mentors, but she suddenly stopped, "Soooo... no learning?"

"You're learning from me," he grinned.

The moment he said that, Aurelia looked at least three times as excited as before, "Yes!"

He was an assassin too, so he could definitely teach and fight her so that her skills improve.

The atmosphere outside the Golden Star Academy was electric.

Thousands of players stood in awe, gazing at the shimmering golden gates that seemed to stretch endlessly, carved with intricate celestial designs and glowing softly.

Conversations buzzed around Alex, Alice, and Aurelia as excited murmurs filled the air.

Some marveled at the academy's grandeur, while others exchanged plans and speculated on what awaited them inside.

Suddenly, the air grew heavy, silence sweeping through the crowd.

A golden light flashed at the center of the gate, and in its wake, a man appeared.

It was Dominic, the Chairman of Golden Star Academy.

His mere presence exuded power, and the overwhelming aura that radiated from him silenced even the most prideful players.

But for Alex, that sight was only the start of the end.

The beginning of the [Hatred Sect's] plan to restore the glory of the [Hatred Demon], plunging this world into darkness.

Funniest of all, Alex knew that every single commander would sacrifice themselves in the end to allow the [Hatred Demon] to appear, with only Lord X alive to spread chaos.

They couldn't control it, but the [Hatred Demon] listened to Lord X for some reason.

And so while looking at Dominic's warm smile, all he could feel was cold indifference, it was obviously an act.

"Welcome, initiates, to the Golden Star Academy!" he shouted, spreading his arms, and everyone cheered.
