Beast EMPEROR

The young man's name was Tian Yi. He had taken this mission because the pay was good and it was full of beautiful women. His plan was to impress some of the girls here with his skills but reality struck him hard. Taking care of these plants was definitely not a walk in the park. There were many rules to be followed and one had to be patient and careful when handling the plants because one mishap could literally kill these plants.

"So, you're an expert. Can you identify and give a brief description of each plant that we point out. We can't have you killing such rare plants." said Tian Yi. Everyone was surprised with how Tian Yi acted. He acted like he owned the place but no one said anything since there was truth in his words, they couldn't afford plants dying because of Lu Zhen's empty words and ignorance. 

Lu Zhen agreed to their request even though he knew what Tian Yi was planning, he also understood everyone's concerns. 

"Let's start with this one." Tian Yi pointed at a  dark yellow plant with leaves that looked like flames. "Raging Flamilion, this plant is used to treat patients who have been exposed to the cold for too long and increasing flame affinity although not by a large margin."

"This is called Evergreen Five Roses, used mostly by women to have smoother,younger and more radiant looking skin..."

Lu Zhen named every plant without breaking a sweat. Tian Yi's plan would have worked if it was anyone else but unfortunately it was Lu Zhen. He had been born a beast in his previous life and beasts were very knowledgeable when it came to plants. 

It's like they were born with an Encyclopedia in their minds as they knew everything there was to know about mystic plants. "Ho...how is this possible? How do you know so many plants? Even I, working for years here can only identify a few" said Tian Yi with an incredulous expression. 

"Hahaha, didn't I mention to you that I am a botanist and I think you forgot one thing...I'm not you." arrogantly said Lu Zhen. It was an undeniable statement. How could he compare himself with a natural born botanist? 

"Since you're so knowledgeable about mystic plants, can you look at those that are dying?" the middle aged lady said. Since Lu Zhen was so knowledgeable about mystic plants, she hoped that he could help them in reviving these plants. The woman was called Elder Rouxi and was the overseer of the garden and had quite a high status in the Sect because not a lot of people studied plants; these people are so rare that there could only be one in a million. 

"Let me have a look before anything else." said Lu Zhen. "Follow me then." replied Elder Rouxi. 

When they reached the place, Lu Zhen's expression changed. He carefully held the plants as if a simple touch would hurt them, "The Lava flower can only be grown in an environment with extreme heat, the Thousand layered Cabbage needs an environment with extreme heat during the day and freezing coldness at night,the Violet Biet needs..." Lu Zhen explained what type of environment each plant needed to survive and grow. 

Elder Rouxi admired the young man in front of her that she became a little of him. Just as Lu Zhen announced his leave, "Disciple Zhen please wait, there's still one more plant that needs to be checked." said the elder. "Lead the way then," said Lu Zhen. They walked to the snowy part of the garden. 

The garden was divided into many regions and each region had its own climate. The snow place was one of those regions.

Once Lu Zhen reached this place and saw the state of the flower, his expression literally became dark. 

"Who placed this flower here!?" The flower was pitch black in colour and was extremely cold, so cold one could feel it from simply looking at it. "I asked who placed it here!?" Lu Zhen's cold voice was heard by everyone but no one dared to answer him due to his terrifying expression. 

Lu Zhen's patience had reached its peak. "I did. " said the elder softly. Lu Zhen looked at her with disappointment and contempt. Seeing his gaze, she was also startled by her own actions and became a little p*ssed off and asked "What's so great about this flower anyway?" 

Lu Zhen looked at her for a long time before answering slow and loudly to ensure that she and everyone else heard him clearly, 

"This Flower is called Fate Changing Flower because of its miraculous effects, it can turn a trash person into a cultivation genius, restore a person's cultivation base and give any female, be it a mortal or a cultivator, a Heavenly Constitution without any risks whatsoever. Because of its cold nature, it's supposed to be placed in a hot place. It's like charcoal that needs to be burnt. I don't know its effects now but I don't think they will be so heaven defying anymore. Wouldn't you be angry if you were in my shoes?" Lu Zhen looked at her as she dodged his gaze. 

Now that she knew just how important this flower was, she hated herself for being ignorant. A miraculous flower capable of changing one's fate, giving them a brighter future was ruined in her hands. 

"How can there be such a thing in the world? Lu Zhen, surely you're jest? Everyone here may be fooled by your words but I'm not." said Tian Yi when he saw everyone looking at him with awe and reverence. It was supposed to be him in the spotlight, he was supposed to be the peacock in the midst of chickens but Lu Zhen took everything from him, at least that's how things seemed to him. 

"If you utter another word with that foul mouth of yours, I'll make sure that you never use it again." seeing his cold gaze, Tian Yi didn't even dare breathe out loudly. From his gaze alone, he knew that Lu Zhen would definitely do what he said he'd do thus keeping his mouth shut. 

Lu Zhen looked at the flower with pain in his heart as if he'd lost his child. From this alone, you could see just how important this flower was and how valuable it was judging from Lu Zhen's expression. He then left the garden and returned to his courtyard, sitting cross legged on his bed, Lu Zhen was lost in thoughts but moments later he shook his head, "I wish I was an alchemist." his eyes opened wide immediately after saying those words.
