Blossom Again

Chapter 13: CHAPTER THIRTEEN: Oh No!

Ryan wasn't shy about showing off his relationship with Emily. He took her everywhere—shopping sprees, concerts, his shows—you name it. Public displays of affection? Oh, he was all about it. To him, the whole world needed to know just how much he loved her.

Emily, on the other hand, was more low-key. She didn't crave the spotlight and hated being the centre of attention. But no matter how much she tried to keep a low profile, the internet was always buzzing about her. At first, it felt overwhelming, but over time, she got used to it.

Ryan's fame even opened doors for her. Companies started knocking, wanting her to model for them or become a brand ambassador. With her stunning looks and those long, flawless legs, she seemed like a natural fit. But Emily always turned them down—modelling wasn't her thing. All she wanted was a normal life, free from the glam and glare.

Despite her initial doubts, Ryan turned out to be her dream boyfriend. He wasn't just sweet; he was thoughtful and cared deeply about their relationship. One day, he planned something extra special—a seaside picnic.

They sat close on a cosy blanket, the ocean breeze brushing past them.

"I've got a little surprise for you," Ryan said, standing up and gently pulling her to her feet.

"A surprise? Spill the beans!" Emily teased, curiosity lighting up her face.

"Nope, not happening." He smirked and pulled out a soft scarf, tying it gently around her eyes. "You're just gonna have to trust me."

Hand in hand, he led her toward the water. The cold waves lapped at her toes, and she couldn't help but ask, "Where are we? This better not be a prank, Ryan!"

"Patience, babe," he chuckled. "We're almost there."

When he finally took off the blindfold, Emily froze. In front of her was a sleek, jaw-dropping yacht—white with golden accents—and her name, "Emily," written boldly on the side.

Her hands flew to her mouth, her eyes welling up. "No way. Ryan, what is this?"

"It's all yours, my love," he said with a smile, tugging her toward the yacht.

Emily's heart swelled with gratitude. She was just a small-town girl; how did she end up with a man this incredible?

Once aboard, it was like stepping into a movie scene. A full crew—dressed sharply in black and white—greeted them. Waiters brought out champagne, and the atmosphere felt straight out of a billionaire's dream.

"To us," Ryan said, raising his glass and clinking it against hers.

"To forever," Emily replied with a glowing smile.

As they kissed, one of the waitresses smiled and quietly slipped away, leaving them to their private moment.

But Ryan wasn't done yet. Scooping Emily into his arms bridal-style, he said, "Come on, there's something upstairs I know you'll love."

At the top of the yacht was a breathtaking pool surrounded by rose petals. The water sparkled like the night sky.

"This is... incredible," Emily gasped.

Ryan wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I knew you'd love it."

Emily turned to face him, holding onto his sides as the yacht gently rocked.

"I love you, Emily Crystabella Carter," he said, his voice tender. "And I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Emily's face lit up. "Wait... are you proposing?"

"Yes, but not officially. I don't have a ring yet. I want to do this the right way," Ryan said, brushing his fingers over hers. "But you're the one, Emily. You're my forever."

Tears shimmered in her eyes as she whispered, "I'd be honoured to spend forever with you."

That night, under the moonlight reflecting off the water, they shared an intimate, magical moment in the pool. The world outside faded away as the yacht sailed toward their forever.

Here's a rewritten and enhanced version of the episode, adding more emotional depth, vivid imagery, and idiomatic expressions:

Emily woke to the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore and sunlight shining on their faces. A sense of peace wrapped around her like a warm blanket. She turned to see Ryan, his dark, soulful eyes gazing at her with a tenderness that made her heart skip a beat. Memories of their passionate night together flickered through her mind, and a soft smile played on her lips.

Stretching lazily, she sighed. "I have to get moving, darling. Work's calling and I have a project to finish. I can't be late."

Ryan propped himself up on one elbow, his tousled hair giving him an irresistibly rugged look. "Stay a little longer," he pleaded, his voice laced with a boyish charm. "I can't bear the thought of you leaving so soon. Spend the day with me instead."

Emily chuckled, shaking her head. "Don't be such a big baby, Ryan. You know I'd love nothing more, but duty calls. They're counting on me."

Ryan sighed dramatically, pulling her closer for one last embrace. "An hour, at least. Let me take you to work. I promise to make the morning worth your while."

"As tempting as that sounds," Emily said, gently freeing herself from his arms, "I can't risk it. I'd rather not become the centre of gossip at the office this early in the morning."

His lips brushed hers in a lingering kiss before he murmured, "I understand. Just remember, I'm always on your side."

---

By the time Emily reached the office, she was a little ahead of schedule. The familiar hum of activity greeted her, but there was something unusual in the air. Her colleagues were whispering in hushed tones, their eyes darting toward her like she was an enigma they couldn't solve.

Her stomach tightened, a knot of unease forming. What's going on? she wondered, though she forced a polite smile and nodded at a few coworkers. Their behaviour felt odd, unsettling even, but she tried to brush it off as office politics.

As she approached the elevator, adjusting the hem of her soft chiffon blouse, a voice called out behind her.

"Wait, Emily!"

It was Ashley, her usually bubbly best friend and coworker, now looking uncharacteristically flustered. Ashley hurried toward her, stepping into the elevator just as the doors slid shut.

"What's wrong?" Emily asked, noticing the panic etched on Ashley's face.

Ashley hesitated, her brows furrowed as though weighing her next words.

"Ashley, you're scaring me," Emily pressed, grabbing her friend's arm gently. "What's going on? Just tell me."

Biting her lip, Ashley finally pulled out her phone and held it up for Emily to see. "This. It's… about you."

Emily's eyes widened as she watched the video. Her heart sank like a stone, and a cold dread washed over her.

"Oh no," she whispered, her voice trembling as her hand flew to her mouth.

Her mind raced, a thousand thoughts clamouring for attention. How had this happened? Who had recorded it? And, most terrifying of all, what would happen next?
