Campione: Strongest Godslayer!

Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Actually...

Haru raised his hand and used his pinky finger to scratch his ear. Then he flicked it lightly and said with a puzzled expression:

"Kokabiel? I think I've heard Azazel mention him. If I recall, he's just a small fry. What's up with him?"

"He seems intent on inciting a war among the Three Factions... Wait, a small fry? Azazel told you that?" Xenovia stared at Haru's clueless face, her anger boiling over.

You see, she and Irina had come with the resolve to destroy the Excaliburs that Kokabiel had stolen. Yes, their mission was only to destroy the Excaliburs.

They had no confidence in killing or even repelling Kokabiel. But now, someone was calling Kokabiel a small fry right in front of her?

And Azazel, the Governor-General of the Fallen Angels, had told him that?

Xenovia was so furious she laughed. With a bright smile, she suddenly grabbed Haru by the collar and shouted angrily:

"Who do you think you are? Demon King? According to our intel, you've been a devil for less than a week, right?"

"So, as a low-class devil, what gives you the right to call that monster a small fry? If anything, you're the small fry!"

"Haru-san!!" Seeing Haru grabbed by Xenovia, Asia exclaimed in concern.

Xenovia and Irina's gazes shifted to Asia, and their pupils suddenly contracted.

Xenovia released Haru's collar and looked at Asia uncertainly. "Asia Argento? The famous 'Fallen Saint'?"

Irina glanced at Rias, then at Asia, and seemed to understand. She said softly, "You possess the ability to heal devils and fallen angels? I heard you were exiled and didn't know where you ended up. I didn't expect you'd become a devil."

Hearing them refer to her as fallen, Asia's expression became extremely complicated. She looked at the two of them, speechless.

Noticing Asia's troubled expression, Irina said gently, "Don't worry. We won't report that we saw you here. Rest assured."

Xenovia's nose twitched slightly as if she smelled something. Her expression changed subtly, and she looked sharply at Asia, saying in a firm tone:

"You still believe in the Lord?!"

Irina was stunned, covering her mouth with both hands. She didn't even notice when her Holy Sword fell to the ground. She said in surprise, "Xenovia, you must be joking. She's already a devil, and she still believes in the Lord?"

Narrowing her eyes slightly, Xenovia spoke softly to Irina, "No, she carries the scent of faith—that particular aura."

"Even if one violates their beliefs, some people still feel guilt and don't forget their faith. She exudes that aura."

Irina looked at Asia in shock and asked, "Is that true, Asia? Even as a devil, you still believe in the Lord?"

In response, Asia said sadly, "I just can't let go. After all, I've always believed..."

Hearing this, Xenovia stepped forward, pointed her Holy Sword at Asia's neck, and declared loudly:

"Is that so? In that case, you should die by my sword right now. In the name of God, I can still deliver judgment upon you. Even if your sins are deep, our God will extend His hand of salvation."

"I... I..." Faced with Xenovia's aggressive stance, Asia didn't know how to respond. Tears began to well up in her eyes.

At that moment, a cold voice reached Xenovia and Irina's ears.

"Fallen?"

This voice sent a chill straight to their hearts.

"After discovering Asia's healing abilities, you flocked to her like flies to honey, elevating her as a so-called Saint to gather others' faith?"

"Then, upon finding out that Asia could heal enemy devils, you feared causing a scandal and branded her a witch. You expelled a girl who couldn't even take care of herself from the church she grew up in."

"Left with nowhere to go, she ended up with devils and became what you call fallen, and now you think she needs to die?"

Standing up, Haru lifted his gaze toward Xenovia and Irina. Suddenly, he smiled—a smile that was chillingly cold.

"If that's what you call fallen, then you so-called devout believers negotiating with devils for your mission—what does that make you?"

After speaking, Haru looked expressionlessly at Irina and Xenovia, his tone icy.

"Never thought you'd become like this, Irina."

Ignoring Irina's look of wanting to say something but hesitating, Haru said softly:

"I'm tired of this game. I'll give you half a day to resolve your issue with the Holy Swords. If you exceed the time limit, don't blame me for burying you along with the fallen angels."

Xenovia stared at Haru's cold face as if looking at a madman and mocked, "You... A low-class devil?"

"Do you know? The last person who called me a low-class devil ended up begging me in tears to spare him. Want to give it a try?" Haru looked teasingly at Xenovia's flushed, angry face.

Fuming, Xenovia drew her Holy Sword and pointed it at Haru's face.

At that moment, a dark magic bullet struck Xenovia's sword, forcing her back several steps due to the strong impact. She looked up angrily.

Rias stood with another magic sphere forming in her hand, her face cold. "Do you intend to start a war between angels and devils right here? Holy Sword wielders of the Church!"

"!!!" Xenovia glared at Rias and was about to charge forward when Irina quickly grabbed her arm, preventing the conflict from escalating.

With Irina holding her back, Xenovia gradually calmed her anger. Keeping a stern face, she said to Rias:

"Gremory, what's your stance—war or peace?"

Rias glanced at Haru, who was watching the scene unfold with amusement. She replied seriously, "Haru's stance is my stance. You have half a day. If you can't retrieve the Holy Swords by then, we'll bury you."

"Fine! We'll see about that!" Xenovia grabbed Irina's hand and dragged her out of the room, though Irina cast a sorrowful glance back at Haru.

Bang! The classroom door slammed shut behind them, the lock clicking into place.

After they left, everyone turned their attention to Asia, who was sitting on the sofa.

Sensing their worried gazes, Asia immediately lowered her head.

Haru sat down beside her and said helplessly, "Are you bothered by what Xenovia said earlier?"

"No, not really..." Asia quickly denied it. But seeing Haru's concerned face, she whispered, "I just feel that perhaps my faith isn't strong enough, and that's why the Lord hasn't watched over me."

Looking at Asia's despondent expression, Haru sighed softly.

"It's not your fault, Asia. Your faith is more devout than anyone's—even more so than the popes I've met."

Asia looked at Haru in surprise. She already knew that Haru was referred to as Bael, so she deeply trusted his words.

Grinning mischievously—a smile that fit the very definition of a devil—Haru leaned in and said softly to Asia:

"Actually, Asia, God has already been killed by me..."
