Collecting Titles In The Apocalypse

After the notification that he completed the mission for the title "Mad Runner", he also received a notification indicating he received some rewards for completing the first mission.

The rewards are 10 Title Points, which will be very useful in the coming future but so far it seemed very useless to him. Dante didn't know whether he would laugh or cry at this reward.

Regardless, the second reward was a bottle with what seemed like a shimmering red liquid inside. 

"Is this blood?" He would throw it if it was. He wasn't a bloodsucker mosquito after all.

Weirdly, the shiny orb suddenly sounded elated upon seeing it. 

"Blessed? Why? What is this?" Dante was so curious. He wondered how useful this item was for the shiny orb to be this excited.

The shiny orb instructed him in a spirited voice, but he didn't immediately drink it.

Looking skeptical, Dante asked. "Wouldn't I suffer another painful experience again if I drink it?"

After what happened after he ate the golden fruit, he didn't want to blindly follow what it said. He didn't want to experience that same kind of pain again. It was truly a frightening experience.

Gasping for breath, Dante wondered if this blessing, told by the shiny orb, would benefit him greatly or if it would doom his life forever. If possible, he didn't want to entangle himself in a dangerous role where his fate was bound by a rule like those MCs in novels he read before.

As he was about to drink it, there was a sudden commotion. *Bang!* A loud crash happened in the nearby building.

Next to that, he heard shouts. The voices coming from somewhere around him. Curious about what was going on, he got up from the wooden bench he was lying on and looked around him— only to realize the people in the park were panicking.

Eek! What is that?!

Ehhh!

Kyah!

Help!!!

'What is going on?' Dante thought while frowning.

His eyes grew wider when he saw clouds of smoke arising on a nearby building. Albeit tired, he sprung on his feet and ran towards it. It was a common reaction for a bystander to gossip in any rare situation.

It looks like there's an accident. He just wanted to check what was going on.

To Dante's surprise, when he arrived at the scene, a creature that wasn't in any historical book he read appeared before his eyes.

The people around looked confused as their gazes lingered on the creature. They probably wondered if it was real or just a costume.

He understood their reaction. If Dante didn't see the battle between Agent Black and that demonic tuna, he would surely have the same reaction and thoughts as them.

However, although this creature was unknown to most people around, Dante immediately recognized it at first sight.

Standing a few meters ahead of him was a bizarre creature that stood seven feet tall, identical to the most feared creature of the sea. 

—The shark!

However, this one was more enigmatic than that normal shark. It even had legs and arms like the Demonic Tuna recently.

"Demonic creature…" Dante mumbled in disbelief. The pupils in his eyes shook as numerous thoughts overflowed his mind.

'How come it appeared here? Wasn't Manager Sai mentioned that the D-barrier was keeping this creature away from the city?'

The creature stood in the middle of the road, surrounded by frozen vehicles and bewildered people.

The aftermath of the havoc it caused could be seen around it. There was a burning huge van that was cut in half lying beside it. The other half of it could be seen embedded into the wall of a nearby store.

Some people in black attires were lying on the road around it. Looking at them, it looked like it was already too late for them.

"What is that? It's scary."

"There's no way that that's a living creature, right?"

"But you saw it. It cut that ultra-large vehicle in two just now."

"Waaah! Mommy!"

He heard the people around him start questioning and some kids were crying, calling for their parents.

"Run! That thing is—"

Dante shouted, but as soon as the words came out of his mouth, an ear-splitting cry suddenly came out as well.

KAHHH!!!

Ripples of shockwaves sent the other vehicles around it flying away. Crashing on the other vehicles, they exploded.

Boom!

The unfortunate people who were near it were hit by an invisible force. Their bodies exploded and their flesh and blood splattered around.

Seeing the gore in front of him, Dante's breakfast and lunch almost came out of his mouth, however, before it could happen, he must think of his safety first.

He quickly turned around.

Before he could take a dozen steps away, his back was hit by the invisible force as well that sent him flying away.

His body disappeared into the bushes of plants.

The demonic shark finally stopped screaming. But around it, there were only rubbles. The nearby buildings weren't spared. All of them were destroyed.

Seeing the smoke and fire around, the demonic shark grinned, revealing its sharp saw-like teeth.

The demonic shark then started killing the other people around who survived the shockwave and the explosions from those cars.

Its sharp claws tore apart its victim's body without a bit of difficulty and no ounce of mercy. The unfortunate victims could only cry and die.

The demonic shark was so terrifyingly fast and strong. 

Puddles of blood could be seen around, dying the surrounding with a messy red.

Realizing the horror, the remaining people fled for their lives, screaming, but some froze in fear.

The demonic shark started moving to cause more chaos and destruction to its path. Then it arrived in front of a trembling young girl.
