Chapter 715: 228. Exploring Caves at Sea

Five days later, after all preparations were complete, Noland Lee officially followed Hadley Grant out to sea to search for dragon clan collection in the Cave of Spreading Moss.

If this trip goes smoothly, Noland Lee estimated that he could return with millions of energy reserve points back to the Suman Archipelago.

Before setting off, Noland Lee cleared the bounty tasks and arrest warrants from Jenela and collected his deserved 2.64 million gold coins from Selena.

As Noland Lee and Hadley Grant boarded the ship, the total cash amount he had deposited with Denise Green reached as much as 3.7 million gold coins.

This money was enough for him to buy a decent island in the inner circle, but he was still far from achieving his plan to take down a Tenth Ring Battle Wizard.

If Noland Lee had the chance to plunder Butler Bowles’ small treasury, he could fill in the funding gap for killing a Tenth Ring Battle Wizard.

Noland Lee planned to figure out the scheme for pillaging the small treasury after he had prepared the required energy points for the killing plan.

So, he needed to hurry and search for the dragon clan treasure in the Cave of Spreading Moss.

“Hadley, your ship is smaller than I expected. Can it withstand the strong winds and waves of the deep sea?”

Noland Lee followed Hadley Grant along the dock, passing by one magical mechanical ship after another, finally stopping in front of a magic yacht that was six meters high, four meters wide, and no longer than ten meters in length.

This was the ship Hadley Grant used to go out to sea – a magic yacht.

It was squeezed between many magical mechanical ships, looking like a baby ship.

It was thin, small, and short, far from being as stable as the nearby magical mechanical ships that were over twenty meters in height.

If Noland Lee hadn’t deconstructed a lot of sea-related memories from Hadley Grant and saw that his voyages were conducted on this ship, he would have hardly believed that it could withstand the harsh environment of the deep sea.

“Don’t underestimate my ship, Jarvis,” Hadley said, unlocking the magical lock and alarm system on the magic yacht and leading Noland Lee across the gangway and onto the deck:

“In the deep sea, especially in the ‘Starfall Sea’ near the Spinning Continent, the smaller the ship, the more agile it is, and the better it can avoid dangers in the sea. When encountering a level seven or eight ocean disaster, those big magical mechanical ships can only float on the sea surface and endure, while my ship can dive into the sea water and avoid dangerous ocean disasters underwater.”

Noland Lee stood on the silver metal deck, throwing deconstruction techniques around the room.

The system feedback message showed that although the ship was small and looked a bit thin, the metal used was all magic metal, and its item level was not low.

At a rough estimate, such a ship would probably cost a few million gold coins. In addition to that, if you want to dive into the sea, you would need a set of diving-special magic array patterns and magical devices, which is another large sum of money.

Noland Lee lightly tapped on the firm metal railing, saying:

“You’ve spent a lot of time and money on this ship, Hadley.”

“Of course, this is what I use to make money, and my only reliance at sea.”

Hadley entered the cabin, went through the somewhat narrow corridor, and led Noland Lee into the guest room:

“Here, this is where you’ll be staying. I’ve already cleaned the room once, and placed an adjustable bed for height and softness. Behind that door on the wall is an independent washing room. The magic water purifier and magic boiler on the ship will provide clean hot water 24 hours a day. You can unpack, and I will go to the middle deck to preheat the magic engine.”

Hadley scratched his beard, introduced the guest room to Noland Lee, and then turned and left, entering the staircase heading down to the lower floor.

Noland Lee inspected the room with his deconstruction technique. Just as he was about to sit by the window and wait to set off, he heard a deep rumbling coming from below the floor.

Noland Lee activated “Life and Death Tracking” and saw that Hadley Grant was tinkering with the magic engine downstairs.

The low rumble came from the magic engine.

Noland Lee thought about it, stood up, walked out of the room, and went down the stairs to the middle deck.

The noise in his ears became more apparent, drowning out his footsteps.

Noland Lee came to the entrance of the engine room where the magic engine was located and called to the figure inside:

“Hadley! Do you mind if I come in and have a look?”

Hearing Noland Lee’s request, Hadley turned his head, looked at the doorway with his long-distance glasses, casually waved his hand, and shouted:

“Please do! But do not touch anything here! They have magic locks and will trigger alarms!”

Having permission from Hadley, Noland Lee entered the engine room and looked around this place which was full of magical metal pipes and magic array patterns.

So far, Noland Lee had been in contact with four types of ships related to magic:

Metal Wizard’s hemispherical magic ship

Magic mechanical ship converted from steam mechanical ship

An emergency spaceship created by deep sea spell “Magic Shipbuilding”

And the magic yacht they’re on now

If you count the magic inflatable raft he kept in his magic pouch as an emergency measure, there are five types of ships related to magic.

These five ships have one thing in common: They all use the “magic to mechanical energy” method to provide the drive for the ship.

The magic engine is where the mana from the magic stones is released.

Mana enters the metal pipe from the magic engine and converges into the water jet’s magic circle.
