Aelyx Targaryen is blind, but his senses have been heightened to an extraordinary level. His acute awareness of the world around him allows him to detect even the slightest changes in air currents, vibrations, and sounds. He can feel when someone changes their facial expression, detecting shifts in air flow around their face with uncanny precision. This "sixth sense," as some might call it, enables him to read the emotional state of others, even when they try to hide it, by simply sensing the subtle shifts in their demeanor.

However, his blindness comes with significant limitations. While he can sense the presence of people, their emotional states, and even detect the movements of their bodies in space, he cannot see or identify physical traits like hair color, facial features, or distinguish specific individuals by sight. He is unable to read written words, as he cannot visualize the letters or symbols, although he may be able to sense the energy or tone of the text if someone reads aloud.

His ability to navigate the world without sight is almost supernatural, allowing him to detect the smallest changes in his surroundings—whether it's the movement of a single leaf, the change in temperature as someone walks past, or the specific weight and rhythm of someone's footsteps. He can discern the distance, speed, and direction of an approaching person with uncanny accuracy. However, his reliance on heightened senses means he is incredibly vulnerable to environments with little auditory or tactile feedback, such as vast, empty spaces or areas with very few objects to interact with.

Additionally, while Aelyx has learned to sense emotions and read intentions through subtle shifts in energy, he cannot decipher complex visual cues like colors, shapes, or the visual context of a situation. His world is entirely shaped by what he can hear, feel, and sense through vibrations and air currents, leaving him completely reliant on these abilities to interpret his environment.
