Earth's Alpha Prime

Chapter 324: Dominance

Jay's eyes locked onto his target. A slight grin spread across his face as he whispered under his breath, "Found you!"

Since Jay had returned to the past where his skills hadn't yet been neutralized, the effects of║NEUTRALIZER║on his present self were no longer present. However, if that Unique Talent holder used the ability again, it would prove just as effective. Jay had no intention of letting that happen.

With Wibbit's unconscious body still flailing like a ragdoll in one hand, Jay moved like a gust of wind, closing the distance to his target in an instant.

While in INVERSE mode, he couldn't use Pseudo-Speed Energy or any aura—a limitation he had always faced. But it didn't matter. With his massive stats, even without external boosts, his speed reached Mach 13.

Upon reaching the Unique Talent holder, Jay didn't bother removing the Possession Seed implanted in him. Instead, he grabbed the Alpha Chosen by the throat and dragged him along as he streaked through the Colosseum at incredible speeds, the violent winds generated by his movement tearing through the air.

Thanks to his overwhelming stats and the numerous skills enhancing his time perception, the world around him moved at a snail's pace. Even from the moment he returned to the present, only two seconds had passed in real time.

The Unique Talent holder, alarmed, activated║NEUTRALIZER║once again, losing access to nearly 2,000 stats to suppress Jay's abilities. This left him with only 500 stats remaining, severely weakened.

But Jay remained unaffected. His reliance on pure stats and passive skills rendered the Unique Talent's suppression useless. Glancing at the struggling Alpha Chosen in his grip, Jay didn't utter a word, though his expression carried a subtle disdain.

If not for being in the state of Synchrony, Jay would have undoubtedly detested the Unique Talent holder. From Urzo's memories gained through the destroyed Possession Seeds, Jay had learned of the man's vile nature—a sadist who had killed his own team members simply to indulge his twisted tendencies.

In comparison, even Urzo seemed less reprehensible than the cruel individual now clutched in Jay's hand. If not for the penalty he'd face for killing another participant, Jay would have ended the man without hesitation.

However, Jay wasn't without alternatives. His sharp eyes scanned the chaotic Colosseum, keenly observing the volley of ranged attacks flying through the air. Among them, he took careful note of the stronger ones, formulating his next move.

Analyzing their trajectory, Jay moved swiftly to intercept them. Reaching the spot before the attacks landed, he placed the vile individual directly in their path. Moments later, a flaming arrow and a Sword Aura crescent crashed into the man.

With his 500 remaining stats—reduced to the equivalent of a Tier-3 Low-Phase—the individual stood no chance against the Tier-4 Low-Phase attacks. The combined force of the strikes split him into two uneven pieces, his body charred beyond recognition before collapsing.

Despite how justified the kill was, Jay felt nothing in his state of Synchrony. From a moral perspective, a kill was still a kill, whether done directly or indirectly. Yet, in that state, it carried no weight—no guilt whatsoever. It was as trivial as crushing an ant, with morality silenced entirely by cold, unyielding practicality.

What truly caught his attention was the notification MJ forwarded to him—a list of lootable items from the charred remains, with the Unique Talent║NEUTRALIZER║prominently listed among them.

Half-expecting it not to work, Jay selected the Unique Talent. He had faced similar disappointment before when attempting to transfer a talent to Dante in the hopes of making him an ORIGIN SIGIL Holder.

Back then, his Origin Mastery wasn't high enough, and even after reaching 3%, a second attempt had failed for the same reason.

But to Jay's surprise, the looting succeeded. Within his own Spirit Space, a medicine ball-sized orb appeared, revolving around the golf ball-sized║LOOT║.

The success raised intriguing questions. For Jay to loot a Unique Innate Talent suggested one of two possibilities: either he was now able to loot such talents but couldn't control them via an Origin Sigil, or Unique Talents varied in rarity, with Dante's talent being of higher rarity than the one Jay had just looted.

Lacking sufficient information to confirm either theory, Jay chose not to dwell on the matter. Even with Grade-6 System Access, MJ had no relevant data.

Testing the newly looted talent could wait. For now, Jay proceeded with the plan he and MJ had finalized. Moving to the epicenter of the Colosseum, Jay activated║Tidal Wave║, targeting everyone in the arena.

With his skills no longer neutralized, the skill functioned flawlessly. The near 8,000 Alpha Chosen in the Colosseum, save for those from Jay's trial region who were protected within the Protection Barrier, were pulled toward him as if drawn by an irresistible force.

The chaotic swarm of bodies moved like moths to a flame, converging rapidly. When Jay confirmed that the seating areas were empty, he deactivated the skill. Without pause, he activated another ability:║Graviton Lock║, a skill he had looted from a monster while conquering an Obelisk.

This skill dramatically increased gravity within a targeted area, rendering everyone immobilized. Their bodies became unbearably heavy, unable to move as the sheer weight pressed them to the ground.

Everyone on the Colosseum ground was pinned down by the overwhelming gravity of║Graviton Lock║. Movement became an insurmountable task, and as the effect intensified, those below Tier-4 collapsed to the ground.

The few who were still at Tier-2 simply passed out. Jay went easy on the unconscious and the injured, especially those harmed by earlier friendly fire.

But for the rest, he didn't hold back. Maintaining the heavy expenditure of║Graviton Lock║, Jay added Tier Suppression, further solidifying his Dominance. At the epicenter of the Colosseum, Jay ensured that no one moved—not because they didn't want to, but because they couldn't.

Urzo withdrew his Possession Seeds from everyone in the Colosseum. The mysterious destruction of his seeds earlier had left him cautious, fearing a repeat of the incident. This withdrawal freed thousands of Alpha Chosen from Urzo's control, their autonomy returning as the commands that had puppeteered them vanished.

They all turned their gazes toward Jay. Golden streams of energy radiated from his back, emerging from the back of his full-body armor as he hovered several meters into the air. His ascent was slow, deliberate, and not a single sound broke the tense silence.

Jay didn't activate the helmet that came with the armor's flight mode, letting his silver hair flow freely in the wind. His cold, silver eyes scanned the crowd below, piercing through the thousands of Alpha Chosen.

Though Urzo's Possession Commandments had forced them to act against their will, the Alpha Chosen were painfully aware of everything they had done. They remembered every effort to kill Jay, even if futile, and the guilt weighed heavily on them. Now freed from Urzo's control, they feared Jay's wrath.

Despite their actions, they couldn't help but cling to a fragile hope. If not for the fact that Jay had refrained from killing even a single one of them and had actively protected his own Team Region members, they would have abandoned all hope of escaping the dire situation in one piece.

After all, while the Tournament Rules prohibited killing other participants, there was no rule against incapacitating them—or severing a limb or two.

Even the Tournament Manager, who was supposed to enforce the rules, was as helpless as the rest in the face of Urzo. Ironically, Urzo himself was equally powerless before the silver-haired Alpha Chosen, who hovered above them like a god among mortals.

The silence was suffocating, the tension undeniable. None dared to make a move, unsure of what Jay would do next.
