Chapter 206: Let's make a plan
Ritsuka was shown seating on a rock, as his hair was falling, as his read hair feels down now looking like his old hair before his transformation into a Dragon gods, will the only thing that was different was Black hair turned red which is definitely something.
Kama who was cutting his hair looked at him. "We are in the middle of a lostbelt, and here you are getting a hair cut in the middle of it, Darling".
Ritsuka let out a small chuckle as he tilted his head slightly. "Kama, when you're constantly in life-or-death situations, you take the little joys wherever you can find them."
Kama smirked as she trimmed another lock. "Little joys, huh? Next thing you'll ask for is a foot massage during a boss fight."
Yang Guifei, lounging nearby and strumming a delicate tune on her pipa, chimed in, "He's not wrong. A little peace can go a long way. Besides, red hair suits you better than black, Master."
Ritsuka chuckled as he looked at her as he spoke. "I like my Hair, even if it black or red"
Sigurd stood a few paces away, his arms crossed, keeping an eye on the surroundings. Brynhildr was close by, her lance resting at her side as she watched the exchange with a faint smile.
"Focus on the mission," Sigurd said firmly, though there was no malice in his voice. "The Lostbelt won't wait for a haircut to finish."
Ritsuka nodded, standing up and brushing off stray strands of hair. "You're right, Sigurd. We need a plan, and we need it now."
Mash approached, holding a map they'd managed to recover from the elves. "We've identified three key locations in this Lostbelt where the Fantasy Tree's influence is strongest. One is in the floating city of Asgard, another near the Ruins of Jotunheim, and the third... well, it's deep in the Dwarven Mines."
"Three locations, three challenges," Kama muttered, flipping the scissors in her hand before stowing them. "What's the play, Darling?"
Ritsuka examined the map. "We split into teams. Thor and Kirschtaria are going to be major obstacles, especially if they decide to intervene directly. Loki, do you have any insight on how to bypass them?"
Loki, who had been leaning lazily against a tree, perked up with a sly grin. "Bypass? Oh, no, no, dear boy. You don't bypass Thor. You endure him. As for Kirschtaria, he's as stubborn as they come. I could try talking some sense into him, but I wouldn't hold my breath."
Ritsuka sighed. "Great. So brute force and strategy it is."
Mash hesitated before speaking. "Do you think we'll be enough to handle all of this? Thor alone is..."
"Terrifying?" Kama finished with a raised eyebrow.
Ritsuka smiled faintly. "He's powerful, but we've faced gods before. Thor might be a thunderstorm, but we're the calm that comes after."
Brynhildr stepped forward, determination in her eyes. "Let me face Thor. As a Valkyrie, I have unfinished business with him. My loyalty to Asgard ended the moment I chose to fight alongside you."
Sigurd glanced at her, concern flashing across his face, but he nodded. "I'll go with you. We'll handle Thor."
Ritsuka looked at the group, his resolve hardening. "Alright, here's the plan. Sigurd and Brynhildr, you'll take on Thor. Mash and Kama will investigate the Dwarven Mines. Yang Guifei and I will head to Asgard to confront Kirschtaria. Loki, you're with us."
Loki raised a hand. "Quick question: what happens if this plan goes sideways?"
"It won't," Ritsuka said confidently. Then, after a pause, he added, "But if it does, we adapt. That's what we do best."
Kama chuckled, placing a hand on his shoulder. "That confidence is one of your best traits, Darling. Let's hope it's not misplaced."
With their plan set, the group began to gather their supplies, steeling themselves for the battles ahead.
Ritsuka sighed as he glanced at Mash, his expression a mix of worry and determination. "I wonder where the others went. They're split up like us, and we have no idea where Nemo's ship landed."
Mash adjusted her shield, her brow furrowing. "Captain Nemo is resourceful, Senpai. I'm sure they're holding their own. Still, it's unsettling to have no communication with them."
Kama leaned against a nearby boulder, twirling a strand of her hair idly. "For all we know, they could be in more trouble than we are—or maybe they're sipping tea with Thor. Either way, Darling, we should focus on our own objectives."
Ritsuka nodded but couldn't shake the feeling of unease. "The communication blackout doesn't sit right with me. This Lostbelt has to be interfering with our systems."
Loki, now examining the map Mash held, chimed in with his usual smirk. "Oh, I wouldn't worry too much about them. If they're anything like you, they'll find a way to survive. Now, about this plan—are we sure splitting up is the best idea? Strength in numbers, and all that."
Yang Guifei strummed a calming melody on her pipa, her voice soothing. "The Captain and his crew are strong. They've faced worse before. Besides, if they're anywhere near Asgard or the other key locations, they'll make their presence known."
Ritsuka exhaled slowly. "You're probably right. We've been through too much to let this setback stop us. But still, if we don't reconnect soon, we're heading into uncharted territory blind."
Mash gave him a reassuring smile. "We'll find them, Senpai. First, we take care of what's in front of us. The others would expect no less from us."
"Yeah," Ritsuka agreed, standing up and brushing himself off. "Let's stick to the plan. We'll regroup with the Captain and the rest once we deal with the immediate threats."
As the team prepared to move out, the tension lingered. Each step forward was a step into the unknown, but their resolve remained unwavering. They knew that somewhere out there, Nemo and his crew were fighting their own battles—and when the time came, they'd reunite to face the Lostbelt's greatest challenge together.
In different part of the Lostbelt, Nemo ship them came out, as then it checked to see if there is any danger.
As then in the ship, was Nemo and his Nemo Secires, Dr Romani, Da Vinci, Goredolf, a few other servant and people that work on Chaldea.
Nemo tryed to fix his comps. "ok as are alive, that is good".
Dr Romani then looked at him. "That Blast was something right, what day it is"
Da Vinci check as she spoke. "Oh no".
Goredolf then spoke in worried voice. "What do you mean Oh No Da Vinci".
Da Vinci then looked at them as he spoke. "So um I Checked the date and remeber we arrived to the lost Beth at the 22th right".
Nemo them looked at her. "Yes, wish don't tell me, oh".
Da Vinci then spoke. "Will we did void sale, but um we ended up two days forward".
As the realisation sank in, the crew exchanged uneasy glances. The atmosphere in Nemo's ship grew heavy with the weight of Da Vinci's revelation.
Nemo leaned back in his chair, his hands on his head. "So, let me get this straight—we didn't just get blasted across the Lostbelt; we time-skipped two days forward while Void Sailing?"
Da Vinci nodded with a sheepish grin. "Precisely. It seems the blast destabilised the Void Systems, causing a temporal distortion. It's not unheard of, but it's extremely rare. The good news is, we're all alive. The bad news? We've lost two critical days."
Dr Romani scratched his head nervously. "Two days might not seem like much, but in a Lostbelt, even a single hour could mean the difference between survival and failure. We have no idea what's happened to Ritsuka and the others in that time."
Goredolf's face turned pale, and he started pacing back and forth. "This is a disaster! What if the others are in trouble? What if they've been captured or worse? And we're sitting here like fools, clueless about what's going on!"
Da Vinci placed a hand on his shoulder, her usual calm demeanor reassuring. "Relax, Gordy. We'll get back on track. First, we need to recalibrate our systems and figure out our exact location. Nemo, how are the comms looking?"
Nemo grunted as he fiddled with the controls. "Still patchy, but I'm working on it. Give me a few more minutes, and I'll see if I can establish a connection with any of the other teams. Meanwhile, we need to keep our eyes peeled—this Lostbelt is unpredictable, and we've already seen how dangerous it can be."
Dr Romani sighed, rubbing his temples. "Two days... What could have happened in that time? I can only hope Ritsuka's team is still okay. Knowing him, he's probably found a way to survive, but still…"
Da Vinci turned to the rest of the crew, her tone more serious. "Alright, everyone. Let's stay focused. We've got a lot to do and not much time to do it. Nemo, keep working on the comms. Goredolf, help me run diagnostics on the ship's systems. Romani, start analysing the terrain around us. We need to get our bearings and move out as soon as possible."
The crew nodded, springing into action. Despite the setback, the resolve to regroup with Ritsuka and finish their mission burned brightly within each of them. Whatever challenges the Lostbelt threw their way, they were determined to face them head-on.
As the crew worked in a flurry of activity, Nemo continued to fiddle with the ship's communication system, his brow furrowed in concentration. He had just managed to get a weak signal, but it was patchy and distorted, flickering in and out like a ghostly echo of a once-strong connection. He adjusted the frequency, trying to lock onto any signals from Ritsuka's team.
Meanwhile, Goredolf and Da Vinci were busy checking the ship's internal systems, running diagnostics on both the engine and the Void Sail mechanisms. The ship had taken some damage during the blast, and there was no telling how much time it would take to get everything up to full operational capacity. They needed to make sure it was ready to move at a moment's notice.
Dr Romani was pacing around the control room, his mind racing. The team had already faced the unknowns of the Lostbelt, and now, they were racing against time to recover lost ground. The time jump only added to his unease. If they couldn't figure out where Ritsuka and the others had ended up, they could be facing a much larger crisis.
"Got it!" Nemo's voice broke through the tension. He slammed a fist onto the control panel, and the signal suddenly became clearer. "I've got a patch through to the outer region. It's faint, but I'm getting a reading—there's a signal coming from the surface. It could be them!"
Romani's eyes widened. "Is it Ritsuka's team?"
Nemo squinted at the monitor, analysing the data. "I can't tell yet. The signal is too weak to make a definitive call, but it's definitely coming from the surface. We'll need to go down there to get a clearer connection."
"Then it's settled," Da Vinci said, her voice steady. "We'll make our way down to the surface. Prepare for launch, and Goredolf, you're in charge of the navigation. We don't want to waste any more time than we already have."
Goredolf nodded, his usual flair for leadership shining through despite the crisis. "Aye, aye, Captain. I'll make sure we get down there without any unnecessary detours."
As they prepared for takeoff, Romani couldn't shake the feeling of dread that settled in his gut. The Lostbelt was a perilous place, and the longer they remained apart from Ritsuka and the others, the more dangerous their situation became. Still, they had no choice but to press on.
The ship hummed to life, and with a sudden lurch, it began its descent toward the surface. The crew strapped in, the tension palpable as they braced for whatever awaited them. They had no idea what had transpired during the past two days, and they couldn't afford to waste any more time.
Back on the surface, Ritsuka was seated, lost in his thoughts, as Kama finished trimming his hair. Mash looked on, her expression thoughtful.
"Do you think the others are okay?" Mash asked softly, her concern evident.
Ritsuka looked up at her, his eyes momentarily distant. "I hope so. They must be going through their own challenges, just like we are."
Kama, finishing the last snip of Ritsuka's hair, smirked. "You sure do worry a lot for someone who acts so aloof, darling."
Ritsuka let out a soft chuckle. "I guess I've always been that way. I just don't want anyone to get left behind. And we're not exactly in the best place to play the waiting game. We need to make sure we're ready for whatever comes next."
Mash gave him a reassuring smile. "We'll figure it out. We always do."
Suddenly, Ritsuka's gaze sharpened as he noticed something in the distance—a large shadow moving across the horizon. It was unmistakable, even in the distance.
"That's... Asgard," he muttered under his breath.
Mash turned to follow his gaze, and Kama's eyes widened. "So they've found us, huh? The gods, or whatever they're calling themselves here."
Ritsuka stood up, his red hair swaying slightly in the breeze. "We need to be careful. Asgard might be the heart of this Lostbelt, but that doesn't mean we're safe there. Whatever Kirschtaria and Thor are planning, we need to be ready for it."
Kama crossed her arms, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, I'm always ready for a fight. But let's see if we can avoid one this time. I prefer diplomacy when it works."
"Yeah," Ritsuka said, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "But if it doesn't work, then we'll have no choice but to fight."
With that, they began preparing for the next phase of their journey. The stakes were higher than ever, and Ritsuka knew that every decision they made from here on out could change the course of the Lostbelt—and possibly their entire mission.
Meanwhile, in Asgard, Kirschtaria was pacing back and forth in his chambers. His thoughts were heavy with the weight of his plans, and though he had allies around him, he couldn't help but feel the presence of Ritsuka's influence lingering in the back of his mind.
Hildr watched him carefully, her voice breaking the silence. "You're thinking about him again, aren't you? Ritsuka."
Kirschtaria didn't answer immediately. His eyes remained focused on the floor as he tried to gather his thoughts. "It's strange. The way he changes everything, the way he fights for everyone. It's like he has some kind of power that none of us can fully understand."
Ortlinde, standing by the window, spoke next. "You've always been fascinated by him, Kirschtaria. But don't let that distract you. You've got a plan, and you're not the type to be swayed by emotions."
Kirschtaria finally looked up, his expression unreadable. "You're right. But that doesn't change the fact that he's the one who has the ability to stop everything I've worked for. He is the only one who can stand in my way."
The Valkyries exchanged glances, sensing the tension in the air.
"Well then," Hildr said, her tone suddenly firm, "you know what needs to be done."
