Chapter 39: Chapter 39
John didn't even look but fired a burst in the direction of three o'clock.
"Ta-ta-ta!" A terrorist holding an AK just walked out of the corner of the cave and was hit accurately by the bullets. He fell to the ground, a cloud of blood mist exploding from his chest.
As John passed by, he shot the opponent in the head.
After entering the narrow space of the cave, he put away the rifle, took out the pistol from his waist, leaned forward slightly, tilted the pistol, and stepped forward cautiously.
"One o'clock, the first."
The dark cave dwelling was only illuminated by dim lights from the surrounding area, and the sound of rifle fire echoed inside.
The moment the voice sounded in the headset, a figure appeared on the one o'clock ramp ahead.
"Boom!"
"Bang bang!"
The distance between the two sides was very close. The moment the opponent raised his gun in confusion, John pulled the trigger without any hesitation.
"Bang! Bang!" Within a second, a cloud of blood mist burst out from the opponent's chest and head.
John nodded to himself.
The Mozambique shooting method, suitable for close-range shooting: the purpose of the two shots to the chest is to disrupt the opponent's rhythm and stabilize your own rhythm. The success rate of the final, fatal headshot will be greatly increased. The first two shots are for control, and the last shot is for finishing.
The headset was still ringing with beeps, belonging to other people.
"Corner, 1 o'clock," he said. The barrel of an AK poked out from the corner ahead of him.
John grabbed a mop and lifted it up, then took out his pistol and shot the enemy in the head.
There's no need to double-tap someone like this who can be killed with one hit.
However, at this moment, an enemy suddenly appeared in front and raised his rifle to aim at him.
"Corner, three."
"Boom!"
The gunfire rang out, and the enemy's head exploded on the spot. The headless body froze for a moment before flopping to the ground, revealing Frank behind him with a stern expression on his face, holding a shotgun.
Frank nodded to John and then continued in the direction of Tony Stark.
"Woof woof woof!!!" Duke, the dog, came to John's side with his mouth full of blood, and the gunshot wounds on his body recovered at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Duke had been injected with a regeneration potion and couldn't die here. He could just be allowed to cause trouble in the cave.
John touched Duke's head, then raised his pistol and continued moving forward.
The cave was connected in all directions, and all the guards were in chaos.
Bullseye and the others were like cold killing machines, harvesting lives one after another indifferently or crazily. Compared to them, Natasha's performance was much weaker.
Elektra, John, and Bullseye are all seasoned killers, and Frank is a human weapon capable of taking on enemies single-handedly. Although Natasha is a highly skilled agent, her expertise lies in infiltration and intelligence gathering, making her less adept at outright assassination.
Therefore, she ended up with the fewest kills among the team. However, she clearly had a specific goal in mind. She entered the cave and, after eliminating some enemies along the way, headed straight for Tony Stark.
"What happened?" In front of the iron gate, Natal, who was angrily kicking the door, stopped and turned around. Hearing the diminishing gunfire outside, he began to feel a growing sense of dread.
"I'll take some men and check it out!" The deputy waved his hand and immediately left with two others.
Natal watched the deputy's retreating back, feeling a strong premonition that the deputy might not return.
"Damn it! Blow the door open!" He quickly shook off his thoughts and angrily pointed at the closed iron door. It was initially meant to prevent Stark from escaping, but now it had become their last line of defense.
After issuing the command, Natal quickly retreated. The two men placed sticky bombs on the iron door and then hid in a corner.
"Boom!" A huge roar echoed through the cave, followed by thick smoke. The entire cave trembled, and countless rocks fell from above.
"It looks like my rescue has arrived," Stark said happily to Yinsen, who was working on transmitting data next to him, while standing in his iron-barrel-like armor.
"Are they reliable? I mean, the people you found on a gaming platform?" Yinsen still sounded worried.
"This..." Stark paused, feeling uncertain. While he recognized the Punisher as someone familiar, he couldn't be sure if it was really him or just a fan. Nonetheless, the advanced technology used by the platform suggested some degree of competence.
As Stark pondered this, an explosion suddenly echoed from the door.
"Boom!" Smoke and dust filled the air as the iron door was blown open by the massive blast.
"I'll hold them back," Yinsen said, glancing at the data that was still being transmitted. Determination flashed in his eyes. Without waiting for Stark's response, he grabbed a gun and rushed out to face the intruders.
"Yinsen!" Stark shouted from behind, watching his friend rush into the fray, seemingly heading toward certain death.
But Yinsen didn't hesitate or look back. He plunged into the smoke, determined to buy Stark more time.
"Da da da..."
"I'm here!"
"Chase!"
"Da da da..."
The intense gunfire outside echoed through the cave, and Stark, confined in his makeshift armor, could only pray for the data transmission to speed up.
Then, suddenly, Natal, the leader of the Ten Rings, walked in. His eyes gleamed with malevolent admiration.
"I have to say, your friend is very admirable, but unfortunately, he paid the price with his life." Natal held a pistol and looked at Stark in the armor, his gaze filled with both awe and menace. "You truly are a genius, Stark."
He did not participate in the pursuit but stayed behind to inspect the newly developed weapons that Stark had created in the cave.
"Maybe we can sit down and talk. Don't you want Jericho missiles? I can continue to manufacture them for you," Stark said, trying to buy some time.
However, Natal noticed the data cable connected nearby and clearly didn't agree.
He chuckled and raised his pistol, aiming it at Stark.
"The equipment you have is very good."
Stark looked at the dark muzzle pointing at him, sweat breaking out on his forehead.
"Hurry up..."
"Pfft!" Suddenly, Natal's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at his chest.
A sai had pierced his chest.
"Plop!" Elektra threw the body aside and looked at Stark.
"Mission accomplished," she said, clicking on her headset.'
Stark looked at the woman in front of him in surprise, wearing a sexy red dress and holding a pair of sai.
"Are you... the player who took the mission?" he asked uncertainly.
Elektra nodded coldly and was about to speak when Stark suddenly raised his thick armored arm.
"Crack!" A missile was launched, speeding toward her.
Elektra's expression changed, and she instinctively turned her head to avoid it.
"Boom!"
