Game of Thrones-The Black Lord

Chapter 126: The Blackfyre's Plan II

(Third Person POV)

Following Ser Jaime's injury that left him bedridden, the sky above the Blackwater Gulf was covered in dark storm clouds that slowly crept toward the capital. Winds picked up to be strong enough produce powerful waves that were able to prevent any ship from leaving. The rain was so thick and hard that should it reach the city, the people living there would have been forced to remain indoors.

It was not just in the capital that this happened; in the Stormlands, massive storms began, much stronger than usual. They were powerful enough to keep any remaining armies that Renly Baratheon had been commanding in place. The Stormlanders were used to storms, but not these types of powerful ones. They were so strong that they were sure that no dragon could fly through it, the winds were strong enough to rip apart trees or even chip away the stone from the forts and castles.

In the Reach, the same thing happened; three powerful storms hit at three different points, forcing the Reach forces to remain grounded. The Westerland forces were also forced to remain in place as a massive storm hit Casterly rock, keeping the Lannister Fleet docked. The Riverlands and the Vale were hit by two sweeping storms that raged on for days.

What this was is not something anyone would consider normal. In fact, when the Hand of The King received the reports, he was reminded of the Dragonstone Incident. A massive storm hit the island out of nowhere and the rest was history.

Was this natural? Or was this the work of something unnatural? The work of the gods.

It was clear that this was not, in fact, natural.

This was the work of the Blackfyre Pretender, Valerion Blackfyre. He had planned for this, in order to separate all of the Realm's army right after Dorne was invade and Rhaegar was successfully lured to the North. He did not expect for Robert to also take a portion of his armies to join in and that benefited him greatly.

Stormsingers were strong individuals, capable of calling forth storms by singing. But the ones used by Valerion were not ordinary Stormsingers. They were the Stormsingers that Zaldrizes Jaes specifically bred to create powerful superstorms such as these. However, it took multiple at a time to create such a powerful storm and a lot of energy to keep them up.

How they were capable of this feat was a mystery and one that made the Dark Order so terrifying.

**************

"Have you not found the culprit?!" Tywin bellowed in the Throne Room, "What the hell are any of you doing?!"

He was standing in front of the Iron Throne, a vicious glare on his face as some Knights stood in front of him. Queen Cersei stood next to the Iron Throne, a serious frown on her face as Lord Varys and Lord Baelish stood next to her.

"We have sent our men all across the city, Lord Hand." Baelish said, "They are looking everywhere for the dwarf that did this."

Tywin looked at him, "I want in chains and brought forth to me." He said seriously, "Not only did he attack my sons, he stole the jars of wildfire we held. They could be used in the city at any given moment. Go and find him. Now!!"

Varys and Baelish bowed slightly and walked away as Cersei looked at her father.

"I told you not to trust that man." She said, "You should've killed him when you had the chance, the dwarf."

"We needed information from him." Tywin said

"Information that he already gave Rhaegon?" Cersei asked

"Nothing but lunacy, what he told Rhaegon." Tywin said, "What we needed was information on the enemy, tactics, the plans that they had. I knew something was wrong when he was the only one that willingly surrendered over there."

"Lord Hand." a guard said, "The storm does not seem to let up."

Tywin looked around, hearing the loud sounds of thunder and the downpour on the Red Keep.

"It will be difficult to find that man....and the one that is behind it...." Tywin said, "Reports of a man running things from the shadows have been prominent."

"Yes, it would appear that-" Cersei said before she was cut off by a loud yell

Tywin looked over to the doors, "What is it?!" He asked

Suddenly, two guards were thrown on the floor, daggers sticking from their backs.

Cersei widened her eyes, "Father...!!"

Tywin got in front of the Queen, "Guards...!!!"

Ser Meryn and two other Kingsguard got in front of Tywin and Cersei and drew his sword, watching as several black-armored men walked through, carrying large and thin swords.

"Halt!" Meryn warned, "Do not proceed."

"How did they get in here....?" Tywin said with nothing but shock in his voice

The men then charged at them with ferocity and the Kingsguard clashed with them, swinging their swords as they tried to fight back. The two other Kinsguard were pushed back and suddenly, the armored men plunged their swords into them. One of them was impaled in the neck while the other was stabbed in the eye.

"No!" Cersei said as she clutched on Tywin's arm

Ser Meryn tried his best to fight off the rest of the attackers, slashing one of their arms off but ultimately, was cut down.

He collapsed to his knees, "Y-Your Grace...." He managed before his head was decapitated

Sounds of screams filled the Throne room from the hallways as thunder boomed outside the walls.

Tywin looked at the men as they merely stood there, staring at the two of them.

"It appears you did not expect this, Lord Hand..." A voice said

Cersei and Tywin turned to see a man standing in the shadows on the right part of the throne room.

"W-who...?" Tywin said

The man stepped forth, revealing he was wearing a black outfit, that of a noble. On the left side of the shirt's chest was a sigil, that of House Blackfyre. The man was tall and aged, and his white hair reached his neck. His light purple eyes were faded and cold, menacingly staring at Tywin and his daughter, the Queen.

He had a cold look on his face, "They call me the Grey Snake....." He said, "Well, it matters not what they call me. What matters is who I am and what I've been entrusted to do."

Tywin looked at him, "Do you not know what you are doing?!" He bellowed, "Attacking us in the Throne Room, you have marked yourself for-"

"I know exactly what I am doing." The Grey Snake cut him off, "I am taking over the Red Keep, opening the gates to the city for the Black Army to march through. The Storm is quite something, enough to disguise many armies in the Realm....."

Tywin widened his eyes, "You...."

"It is the same as that time.....isn't it, Tywin?" The Grey Snake said as he tilted his head, "Dragonstone..."

"What?" Cersei said

"The storm....." Tywin started

"Elia Martell, Shaena Targaryen, and Rhaella Targaryen were meant to die." He continued, "As well as their children. But oh well, it appears that only Shaena remained."

"That was you?!" Tywin exclaimed, "The storm, the intruders!! The death of Rhaella.....the death of Aerys...!!!"

"Aye." The Grey Snake said as he raised his arms, "It was I, The Grey Snake, son of Zaldrizes Jaes, brother of Vaegon Blackfyre, The River Dragon. You can call me by the name given to me at birth..."

"Vaelor Blackfyre."
