In fact, there are a lot of mysterious things that happened in that war.
For example, the great serpent Orobashi.
It's as if he was trying to provoke the Shogun using the death of her friend, and yet, he offer no token of resistance when he fought against her, even when she is about to use her Musou no Hitotachi, he deliberately lowered all of his defense and let her sword cut through his body
Perhaps at that moment, she sensed something off about the serpent, which is why she didn't wipe out the Sea God entirely.
To explain further, we need to talk about Orobashi's remains on Watatsumi Island.
Orobashi was, in fact, of the same class as the Archon. After its death, its remains produced something called Archon Residue and crystallized bone marrow.
And these things are one of the materials used to make Delusions.
After arriving in Inazuma, Bai Luo had been informed about the Delusion Factory by Scaramouche. However, the factory was under the supervision of Dottore, and even though he wasn't in Inazuma at the moment, Bai Luo didn't attempt to get involved in that blue-haired man affair.
Besides, Dottore had helped him before, and he didn't want to do anything that would make Dottore think he is being an ungrateful bastard. More importantly, he didn't want to get too involved with the Delusions.
That stuff was just too sinister.
"Well, you've just become a Harbinger, and it's not suitable to entrust you with matters related to the Delusion Factory," Scaramouche didn't hide anything from Bai Luo.
It's not so much that he didn't trust Bai Luo, but it's simply because the Liyuean man hadn't received the necessary training in this area and knew very little about how the Delusion Factory operated. It's not realistic to hand over this matter to him and expect it to go well.
"Then... are you also going to take over the matters related to the Gnosis?" Bai Luo asked tentatively.
According to the plot that he can remember, after Scaramouche, in secret, used the Traveler life to exchange the Gnosis from Yae Miko, he suddenly lost contact with the Fatui's Brigade.
In order to investigate this matter, despite his territory being in Liyue, Childe even went to Inazuma to search him.
"I told you before, I won't interfere with your mission," Scaramouche said, growing impatient with the new Harbinger who kept probing.
His main purpose on arriving to this land is two, the first is to handle the Delusion Factory, and the second one is to annoy his mother.
Thinking of how much trouble he can cause to his mother, his mood suddenly had inexplicably improved.
"Well... as a senior, do you have any advice that you can give to this junior?" Despite looking like a kid, Bai Luo had no problem addressing Scaramouche as a senior.
Scaramouche was not originally inclined to share so much with him, but he seemed to recall something and changed his mind.
"Sure, I'll give you a piece of advice. The person who resides in the Tenshukaku might not necessarily be the true Raiden Shogun."
Scaramouche's large straw hat lifted slightly, revealing his somewhat gentle face. However, in stark contrast to his appearance, his eyes had a hint of cruelty, like a lone wolf fixating on its prey.
Wolves are fearsome, but lone wolves are even more ruthless. Once they break away from the pack, they not only need courage but also cunning to survive in the harsh wilderness.
After seeing Bai Luo's bewildered expression, Scaramouche nodded in satisfaction.
After finishing the warm tea in his cup, he left Bai Luo with a look of questioning life and headed towards the Delusion Factory in Inazuma's territory.
Unbeknownst to him, Bai Luo had one thought in his mind.
'Do you really need to tell me this?!'
Perhaps to others, this was indeed explosive news, but in Bai Luo's eyes, it didn't matter if the Raiden Shogun that he is going to meet is the fake one.
After meeting with the Balladeer, Bai Luo couldn't stay on the island any longer.
According to the prior arrangement that he had made beforehand, he is going to have a brief meeting with the head of the Hiiragi Clan to discuss cooperation matters.
A few days later, with his departure from the island settled, he prepared to leave.
After having another meeting with Scaramouche, he boarded a carriage that had already been prepared beforehand by his subordinate. It's a carriage with a route to Inazuma City.
Honestly, amongst the 12 Fatui Harbinger, Bai Luo was undoubtedly the Harbinger who is the most willing to enjoy such luxuries the most. Compared to other Harbingers who preferred to go solo, he was very willing to do things they weren't keen on, like riding in a carriage.
However, the carriage wasn't pulled by horses, but by one of the most common creatures in Tivat, the Anemo Slime. Under the reins' guidance, the Anemo Slime swayed in a not-so-extensive manner. It was a bit uncomfortable when he first got on, but after a while, it was bearable.
Watching the Anemo Slime energetically flap its limb-like wings, Bai Luo chuckled and couldn't help but gaze at the lush woods beside the road.
Compared to the forests of Shidou, Inazuma's colors were much more vibrant. He hadn't paid much attention to them during the nighttime, but in the daytime, even he was captivated by the beauty of these landscapes.
Unfortunately, as the carriage left the island and gradually entered the territory of Inazuma Island, the surrounding red maple leaves were gradually replaced by green, and strange flowers that emitted a certain glow during the daytime could be seen faintly.
Lowering the curtains on the carriage, completely blocking the view from outside, Bai Luo slowly closed his eyes, lost in thought.
Throughout the journey, the carriage wasn't obstructed much. One reason was that once they entered Inazuma Island, the level of exploitation, like on the island, had decreased.
The other reason was that most of the guards at the checkpoints were members of the Kamisato Clan, which, although not as heavily infiltrated as the Hiiragi Clan, was still influenced by the Fatui's Brigade.
So, when they saw a carriage from the Fatui's Brigade, most of them turned a blind eye, pretending not to notice anything wrong with the carriage and letting it pass without trouble.
And thus, Bai Luo left the island smoothly and arrived at the largest city on Inazuma Island, the capital of the Land of Eternity—Inazuma City.
