Heavenly System: Why Cultivate If I Have A System?

Chapter 9: Su Login Has Combat Experience On His Side

The three serpents attacked at the same time.

Su Login thought quickly, held the hilt of the Flying Sword in his raised hand and flew sideways, the speed was enough to avoid the creatures' simultaneous attack.

He used the Stabilizing Roots as he landed on the ground and faced his enemies. The Magical Beasts were very fast, but their movements were limited to attacks with their mouths.

The young man made his sword fly around them.

The Flying Sword began to fly in circles, creating a kind of arena inside.

If he managed to throw a creature into the edge of that arena, it would be pierced by the spinning blade.

However, this left his movement space crowded. Su Login needed to use all his concentration to beat the Ebony Whispering Serpents.

With the Stabilizing Roots, he felt like he was connected to the ground beneath his feet. It would be easy to save movement when dodging with this skill.

Again, the serpents attacked at the same time, two of them focused on Su Login's arms, while the one in the middle wanted to bite the young man's neck.

Instead of moving, Su Login waited patiently until they arrived.

He moved his arms quickly, preventing the two snakes from biting him, but the creatures moved their tails and grabbed his legs.

The creatures pulled hard on their tails, trying to throw the young man off balance, but Su Login's legs didn't move, he was rooted to the spot.

Taking advantage of the gap, Su Login raised his left leg and kicked the air with force, throwing the serpent towards the sword that was flying in circles.

The serpent's body was split in two.

[You killed an 'Ebony Whispering Serpent'.]

[You received a 'Strong Poison Vial'.]

[You received 20 XP.]

The other serpent, which was still holding its right foot with its tail, took advantage of the gap and advanced towards the young man's neck, the creature in front also advancing in the same direction.

Su Login was forced to kick the ground hard and jump backwards to avoid the attack from the Magical Beast in front of him.

However, there was still the serpent coiled around his feet coming towards his neck.

The young man used all his concentration and grabbed the creature when it was just a few centimeters away from biting his neck.

The snake was stopped with its mouth open, so it spat a jet of poison in the direction of the young man's face, but he had already moved his head, because he expected the serpent to have poison.

Without wasting any time, Su Login materialized the Strong Poison Vial and poured it completely into the serpent's open mouth.

The snake squirmed several times, unwilling to believe that it was tasting its own poison, it lost the strength to escape from the young man's hands and stopped struggling.

Finally, a puff of green smoke came out of its mouth and it closed its eyes forever.

[You killed an 'Ebony Whispering Serpent'.]

[You received a 'Strong Poison Vial'.]

[You received 20 XP.]

That poison was deadly, Su Login knew that if he was hit by at least one drop of it, he would be dead, luckily the serpents seemed to have some limitations in using it and preferred to use bites to kill their prey.

Su Login faced his last enemy.

The last snake couldn't run away, because the young man's Flying Sword would kill it as soon as it reached the limits of the arena created by the spinning motion.

The creature's instincts made it realize that it was actually the prey here, the young man in front of it was ready to react to any of its attacks.

That Magical Beast only had an advantage when attacking in a group, but alone, only death awaited it.

Su Login wasted no more time and materialized two items in his hand, the Strong Poison Vial and a Wooden Horn.

He poured some of the contents of the Vial onto the tip of the Wooden Horn and placed it between his fingers, taking care that the poison didn't touch his skin.

The serpent jumped up and decided to attack with a quick jet of poison.

It made zigzag movements, trying to confuse Su Login, opened its mouth and fired the jet of poison.

However, Su Login was rooted to the ground and remained calm. He looked carefully at the jet of poison and dodged just in time, without a drop of poison touching his skin.

The serpent became a little dizzy after using the poison jet, and Su Login took advantage of this to throw the Wooden Horn towards it.

Vosh!

The Wooden Horn hit the serpent straight in the head. The creature's skin was tough, but the poison at the tip of the object thrown was truly deadly.

[You killed an 'Ebony Whispering Snake'.]

[You received a 'Strong Poison Vial'.]

[You received 20 XP.]

Su Login sighed and sat down on the ground for a while to rest, his Flying Sword still spinning around to prevent other Magical Beasts from approaching.

The Ebony Whispering Serpent possesses a deadly poison, is fast, uses dirty tricks and prefers to kill with bites to vital points.

The most efficient way to kill a serpent is to make it use the poison jet and attack while it is dizzy, the dizziness must be caused by the smell of the Strong Poison.

Su Login analyzed his enemy, just like the Wooden Horned Squirrels, snakes had a weak point, understanding this weak point was the key to defeating any Magical Beast.

The Strong Poison was like a bow that hurt the archer every time he shot an arrow, the archer had to be precise with his shot so as not to end up vulnerable.

If I slowed down and hesitated in my decisions, I would surely be killed by these creatures.

The young man realized that the forest was really dangerous.

He had many years of experience in combat, fighting enemies who used all kinds of tricks to win, so he could think quickly in those situations.

But it was different for the young people of that world, who had no experience in combat would be killed easily by a Wooden Horned Squirrel.

That means there will be a lot of deaths during the Peach Tree Trial....

Dai Yuzui didn't tell him when the Peach Tree Trial would start, but he didn't want to be around when there were so many people wandering around the forest.

He should retreat when the movement began, but for now he would focus on getting stronger, so he wouldn't be intimidated by the young men with a higher level of cultivation.

Su Login got up and mounted his sword, he was going to retreat a little.

If he encountered an Ebony Whispering Serpent with a cultivation like the Wooden Beak Swallow, he could end up dead, as he felt that the monsters in that part of the forest were stronger.

With the Flying Sword, he could move faster, so it didn't take him long to reach the tree he was using as a base – he knew it because he had tied a piece of cloth to one of its branches.

For the rest of the day, Su Login decided to get stronger and trained his body.

His training that day was simple: he climbed up and down a huge tree several times, using only his physical strength to climb.

He would have the strength to crush the skull of an Ebony Whispering Serpent with his bare hands if he increased his strength with that training.

Although he had the System by his side, he couldn't remain complacent, he had to constantly evolve.

Even if the System hadn't accompanied him to that world, he would still have strived to become stronger, even if he had to do a hell of a lot of training to turn his body into a weapon capable of killing Immortals.

Dai Yuzui was investigating the forest on his Flying Sword.

He went back to the part of the forest where he had found a junior brother earlier, but he wasn't there, so there were only two possibilities: the junior brother retreated or was devoured by a Magical Beast.

There was no way a novice could survive long in that part of the forest.

"I think it's all right here, as long as they don't encounter any adult Ebony Whispering Serpents or a Sage Arboreal Bull, the junior brothers and sisters will be able to advance in the Trial without any problems."

Ebony Whispering Serpents were no problem for someone who had already reached Qi Condensation II Stage when it came to direct combat, but they liked to use deception to devour their victims.

As for the Sage Arboreal Bull, it was almost impossible to find one so easily, but if someone did, they certainly wouldn't come out alive.

Dai Yuzui was carrying his master's sword, a sword made specifically to kill a Sage Arboreal Bull, it was a Magical Beast that was beyond junior level and couldn't exist in that forest.

Luckily, Dai Yuzui didn't find that Magical Beast and could return peacefully...

And even if he had, he didn't know if he would have the courage to face it.
