Highschool DxD: I'm The Conqueror of Girls!

Chapter 10: I'm Here To Pursue A Girl

Chapter 9 - I'm Here To Pursue A Girl

Kiba realized that what he had said sounded a bit too earnest.

He soon gave a gentle smile, easing the atmosphere slightly.

"By the way, I saw you wandering around the school gate just now."

"Is there something you need?" Kiba asked.

"Well, I wanted to take advantage of the break to learn more about the school I'll be attending," Yukio shrugged helplessly.

"But the guards wouldn't let me in, so I was about to leave."

"Kuoh Academy isn't open to the public, even during holidays," Yuuto explained with a smile.

"There are students who come for club activities and such, so they don't allow outsiders to enter."

"Looks like I'll have to wait until the new semester starts," Yukio said.

Meeting Kiba here was an unexpected delight.

Although Yukio had wondered if he might run into any of the main characters before arriving, actually encountering Yuuto seemed like pure luck.

Kiba took out his phone, checked the time, and then offered with a gentle smile, "I still have some free time. If you don't mind, I can take you inside for a quick tour."

"Really?"

Yukio's eyes lit up, and he promptly thanked him,

"Thank you very much."

"It's nothing. We'll be schoolmates soon anyway," Kiba replied warmly.

After a while, Kiba spoke to the guard, who then nodded and allowed them to pass.

Yukio signed his name, received a visitor's pass, and followed Kiba into Kuoh Academy.

Kuoh Academy covered a vast area.

Besides the new building, there was also the old building.

Anyone who didn't know the academy's background would be impressed by how well-funded it seemed.

As a private academy, both its buildings and infrastructure exuded luxury.

After touring most of the facilities, Yukio sighed, "This is much more interesting than Tokyo."

"What's your school in Tokyo like?" Kiba asked with a smile.

"There's more competition there," Yukio replied, also smiling.

"I've heard that students in Tokyo are very good at taking exams," Kiba nodded. "Fujiwara-san, your academic performance must be excellent."

"Not really. It's just that I was pushed to study hard," Yukio joked, shrugging.

"If you've been working hard all along, you'll find the entrance exams much easier," Kiba noted.

"Here, many students only start focusing on their studies in their third year, and by then, the pressure is intense."

"Sounds tough," Yukio said with a sympathetic smile.

"Fujiwara-san, I'm sure your good grades will make you quite welcome here," Kiba said warmly.

"Yuuto, you're the one who's popular."

"You must be the school idol at Kuoh Academy, right?"

"We passed several female students on the way, and I noticed they all looked at you," Yukio teased.

"Fujiwara-san, you're exaggerating," Kiba responded at the compliment.

"However, there seem to be a lot of foreign students here at Kuoh Academy. I've seen quite a few just now."

"Yes," Kiba nodded.

"The school's director has connections abroad, so we do have more foreign students."

Then, looking a bit puzzled, Kiba asked, "By the way, Kuoh Academy isn't well-known across Japan."

"Yukio, why did you choose to study here?"

"Actually… it's because of someone."

"Someone?" Kiba's curiosity was piqued.

He looked intrigued.

"Yes," Yukio nodded. "Originally, I only came to Kuoh for a short trip. I planned to stay a while and then head back."

"And then?" Kiba asked, clearly interested.

"Later, I happened to see a picture of a girl," Yukio admitted, smiling shyly.

"After a little investigation, I found out she studies at Kuoh Academy. So I decided to transfer here."

"I didn't expect that," Kiba said.

He didn't laugh at Yukio's reason.

High school was an age for romance, and not everyone had the courage to move just to pursue someone they liked.

"Well, that's how it is. Unfortunately, all I know is her name is Souna Shitori."

"She's incredibly beautiful, but I don't know anything else about her," Yukio replied.

"But that's okay. Once I'm enrolled, I'll have more chances to get to know her."

"Who are you talking about?" Kiba asked, his expression turning a bit strange.

"Souna Shitori. Don't you know her, Yuuto?" Yukio said, as if suddenly realizing something.

"She's bound to be well-known in the school for her demeanor, so it's not surprising that you know her."

"I do know her," Kiba wasn't quite sure what to say.

The student council president's charm was certainly something.

Who would have thought someone would come all this way for her?

"Really? Then tell me, What is she like at school?"

Yukio's eyes were bright with anticipation.

"How should I put it…" Kiba now found himself in a peculiar position, discussing how to pursue one of his master's close friends with a new transfer student he had just met.
