"Great work. I am sure that old woman must be having a headache right about now." Samuel recieved the news about Ellie's succesful rescue which made him sigh in relief.

The credit should go to Jane who managed to hack into their intranet network discovering a host of new information on the mysterious MI7 also scanning for the location where they took Ellie.

Since they wouldn't want it to come back to them, they choose some abandoned industrial district which was one of their black sites to hold 'prisoners'.

With a timely intervention and some clever rues by Steve, they make it out with the 'package' without any injuries or casualties.

He didn't expect their first clash with MI7 to go this smoothly but he knew he couldn't expect such flawless routine in the future.

The more the situation escalates, the harder it will be for either party to take the non-lethal route especially when one of them was getting desperate.

He again busied himself trying to determine Talia's whereabouts. He too was a quite well versed in computers but sadly, he couldn't find anything.

Moldova was like a black box which he didn't expected. There was something very wrong with this picture but kept on trying since this was the only thing he could do.

What he didn't know that Moldova was in turmoil because of him. Due to his intervention and disrupting Elise's capture, the man who needed her heart died leaving a vast gap in power.

He neither cared about the subordinate six families nor cared about Samara's revenge. Getting involved in such fueds were beneath him.

He was lost in research and didn't notice until Steve came to see him. There might be something he was here to report so he didn't think much of it.

But he arrived, he came in with Ellie following behind him which took Samuel by surprise.

"Miss Ellie wanted to thank you so I thought it was best to bring her with me." He said like it was normal thing to do.

"Ah okay. But you could have asked her to use one of our many hideouts in the city right?"

"Since our opponent might hold knowledge about that, I thought this place was safest for her to lay low for few days."

Samuel wanted to retort that his house was not a hotel but seeing Ellie's disheveled appeared as well as the gause over her ear he stopped thinking about it.

"Miss Ellie, I am sorry to trouble you with everything. I didn't know that they would target you. Are you alright?" He felt a little guilty since he proclaimed confidently that he would take care of the matter but now Ellie was dragged into their mess.

Ellie didn't say anything but rushed toward him and hugged him which made him surprised when she lifted him off his feet, he was shocked.

The girl who was shorter than him held such explosive power probably because of her athletics background.

"Thank you so much for saving me. I never get to properly relay my gratitude, now I am in your debt." She said cheerfully dropping him down.

"It's alright." He stepped away from her feeling a little embarrassed but he saw her genuine happy emotion.

He did learn about her and knew she was a outspoken girl with big dreams, completely different from normal girls who would feel shy around opposite sex. She said her mind which meant she wasn't implying anything when she expressed her gratitude.

"Just stay here for few days. We will take care of your schoold matter and also inform your team or family members telling them you had a urgent matter to attend to."

"But I can't skip practice."

"There are plenty of places you can run around in. There is also a dedicated gym so please make do with them. Since you have became a part of the game, I hope you will take this thing more seriously."

"Okay. I really thought I was going to die." She said with a frightened expression. Staring down the barrel of a loaded gun wasn't a experience one could forget easily.

"Don't worry. You are safe here." He asked her to look around, there were people that would help her so he left her to do her thing. Beside, his family had already left and his mother took the girls out so there should only be Amanda and few maids in the house.

"You shouldn't have brought her here. It could lead to some unpleasant misunderstandings." He said to Steve after Ellie left. He was still reeling from the trauma of his family meeting up with his 'group of girlfriends' in the morning.

"I thought you knew her. Beside, there is a lot of circumstances where the damsel would like to repay her benefactor with her body, she talked a lot about you and how cool you were when rescuing her so I thought it was best to take her here to meet you."

"What the hell are you talking about? I only did what was right-" Suddenly his eyes landed on Ellie's shadow who stood at the door.

He was horrified when he thought she must have heard their 'unproffessional' conversation.

"I-i just needed my cellphone." She walked to Steve sneaking glaces at Samuel for some reason.

"It's has been modified so they wouldn't be able to track you. Here." He gave her phone back to her and she left but Samuel instantly noticed the changes on her face.

She was blushing? He vehemently denied it but what if what Steve said came true? Was he cursed with fate to live as a scumbag playing with maiden's heart? Ellie was barely eighteen years old!

But he calmed himself down while reprimanding Steve for his reckless comments. If he refused to do anything, nothing will happen. He firmly believed that he was a good guy and his playboy nature was a result of fate's meddling! He was ready to die on this hill!
