Honkai: Man(Sludge) From Future

Chapter 24: Noldrei: What? Primitive Humans Have Ruling Value? Nah

"Where are you?"

"Get out here!"

Siegfried regretted it. He couldn't find Nagazora Street at all.

Nagazora City wasn't small, and he hadn't even had time to memorize the locations of the people before rushing over.

Now he was running around the city aimlessly, trying to find his daughter's location.

Unfortunately, he still hadn't found her.

Reluctantly, he opened his phone again, preparing to check the live stream he had watched earlier.

But he couldn't find it anymore. Kiana had already made enough money and logged off, and the live stream was completely black.

"Damn it!"

Siegfried's legs gave way, and he knelt on the rooftop, angrily punching the roof.

He was furious at himself for forgetting to ask for the location in his rush.

Now it was too late to go back and find Otto. He just hoped his daughter hadn't been taken advantage of.

Siegfried was silent for a long time. If his daughter was going to be taken advantage of, it would have happened a long time ago during her time as a wanderer.

He didn't think the two in the live stream seemed like they were in that kind of relationship.

But...

'What's the reason Kiana is following him? There's no reason at all... Is she not going to school anymore?'

He felt like something was strange, but he didn't know why.

'I'll look around some more. Three horses following them should be pretty noticeable.'

....

"Ah... finally not eating grass..."

Raiden Mei had changed into an inconspicuous, ordinary-looking woman.

Although she hadn't been able to successfully turn back into Raiden Mei, at least she had turned back into a human. So, she started devouring the food that had been brought to her.

Noldrei was clearly using the three of them as bait, and he would definitely not give them a chance to escape.

Kiana was rather strange. In Raiden Mei's eyes, this girl shouldn't be on the same side as Noldrei, but the two had surprisingly similar abilities.

You would think they were products of the same lab.

She could hear that Noldrei and Kiana were talking about the future, and they also knew about the Honkai gems.

"Aren't you afraid of being overheard? Is it really okay to just casually discuss the gems in a private room at a restaurant?"

Kiana thought Noldrei was too careless about some things. Even she, as dumb as she was, knew the significance of those two gems.

The fact that Noldrei could use them to absorb all the Honkai energy produced in that lab was beyond valuable.

"It's okay. They don't have the ability to make any moves under my nose. They've almost completely lost their original forms. In fact, I'm looking forward to them sending some information to their organizations, so those people will come to rescue them."

Of course, Noldrei wasn't angry. He was hoping the world would become even more chaotic.

Cocolia and Bronya also knew that struggling was futile, so they simply followed along and acted as tools.

"Hey, shorty... why do you have this thing buried in you?"

Kiana suddenly remembered something and reached into her mouth, pulling out the chip. She had put it in her stomach because she was worried she would forget about it.

Bronya, now with the face of a stranger's wife, looked at the saliva-covered chip with disgust.

She hesitated for a moment and explained, "This is a biochip. Because Bronya's emotional circuits were damaged and her legs were ruined, this chip was implanted. Now..."

Bronya glanced at Cocolia and said, "Now it's no longer necessary. Bronya's emotional system and legs have returned to normal."

"Of course, Bronya still hopes that she doesn't have to turn into a pony."

"That's not happening!" Noldrei immediately interrupted her, stating that it was an absolute, non-negotiable bottom line.

But he also said happily, "I didn't expect human ruling technology to have progressed this far. It seems that if I can replicate this chip, my Nagazora Empire can be built very quickly. Cocolia, in this regard, you're actually a somewhat useful primitive."

Cocolia didn't know if she should be proud. Her intention was definitely not to serve others.

"What do you want to do? I still have some influence in Anti-Entropy."

She had wanted to say that she still had some power, but she remembered that this power was completely useless to a future person who could change genes at will.

The future person could even develop a virus that would make all of humanity infertile, so he wouldn't care about the little power she had.

This guy was serious about becoming emperor.

"There's nothing for you to do. I just need to wait a little while and you'll start a nuclear war yourselves. Why do you always think I want to do something? I just occasionally speed you up to the key points."

Noldrei thought he was innocent. It was as if the primitives killing each other was his fault. If the conflict didn't exist in the first place, he wouldn't be able to push it forward no matter how much he accelerated it.

'Do you even hear what you're saying?'

Raiden Mei thought that Noldrei probably didn't have the thinking of a normal person. But if all future people were like this...

She also felt the same fear that Kiana had.

The future... would humanity really become like this?

"If you're not going to do anything, then why do you want to be the emperor of humanity? If you're going to be emperor, you must want to do something."

Cocolia didn't think an emperor could maintain their rule without doing anything.

Kiana was also very curious about this. In her opinion, Noldrei didn't seem like someone who liked to rule.

This guy seemed a bit lazy.

"Is it possible that all I need is a new ruling class that suits my taste? Not power for myself. This new ruling class can bring a new human society that suits my taste to this era."

Noldrei didn't emphasize his own power. He wasn't worried about his own power.

"A new class..."

Cocolia understood what Noldrei meant. If that was the case, then following his orders didn't seem unacceptable.

"What do you want to get from the current humans?"

Cocolia didn't know how to ask. She couldn't see what Noldrei was thinking.

Kiana, however, unexpectedly knew Noldrei's mission.

[Destroy proliferationism]

But she didn't understand what proliferationism was. It sounded like some new ideology that future humans had created.

"Nothing, I have no needs. The current humans..."

Noldrei paused for a long time and said, "The current humans have no value to be ruled. They can't contribute to the future I want."

"The current humans have no value to be ruled. They can't contribute to the future I want."

Noldrei's words were like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing the little bit of hope that Cocolia had just kindled.

She thought that maybe, just maybe, she could use her knowledge and experience to help this future person, and perhaps even change the future.

But now, it seemed like she was just a tool, a disposable tool.

"Then what do you want? What kind of future do you want?"

Kiana asked, she was also very curious about what kind of world this future person wanted to create.

"A world without the concept of 'family'."

Noldrei's answer was simple and direct.

"A world where everyone is equal, where there is no need to rely on family to survive. A world where everyone can pursue their own dreams and desires without being bound by blood ties."

"That's why I need to take away their reproductive rights. The family is the root of all evil."

Noldrei's words were filled with a deep-seated hatred for the concept of family.

"You're crazy!"

Kiana couldn't help but shout. She couldn't understand why this future person hated the family so much.

"Maybe I am. But I'm also the only one who can save humanity from the endless cycle of war and suffering."

Noldrei looked at Kiana, his eyes filled with a strange light.

"Kiana, you're the only one who can understand me. You're the only one who can help me create this new world."

"I don't want to!"

Kiana rejected him without hesitation. She didn't want to create a world without family.

She didn't want to live in a world where everyone was just a tool, where there was no love, no warmth, and no connection.

"You will. You're just not ready yet."

Noldrei smiled, a confident smile that made Kiana feel a chill down her spine.

"You'll see, Kiana. You'll see that I'm right."

The atmosphere in the private room suddenly became heavy and oppressive.

Raiden Mei, Cocolia, and Bronya all felt a sense of unease.

They knew that they were caught in the middle of something big, something that could change the fate of the world.

But they were powerless to do anything.

They could only watch as Kiana and Noldrei continued their conversation, their words like knives cutting through the air.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom."

Kiana suddenly stood up, breaking the heavy silence.

She couldn't stand being in the same room with Noldrei any longer.

She needed to get away, she needed to think.

"Okay, I'll wait for you here."

Noldrei didn't stop her. He knew that Kiana would come back.

He had all the time in the world.

As Kiana left the private room, she could feel the eyes of the three ponies on her back.

She knew that they were all relying on her.

But she didn't know what to do.

She was just a girl, a girl who had been thrust into a world she didn't understand.

A world where the future was uncertain, and the past was a mystery.

A world where she had to make a choice, a choice that could change everything.

And she was terrified.
