Honkai: You're telling me this difficulty is from Honkai Impact 3?!

Chapter 23: A Honkai Beast That Jumps Dozens of Meters?!

Regardless, the news was the best news they had.

Bronya pointed in a direction. "Kiana likely went this way."

"Great!" Mei finally let out a sigh of relief, but behind Mei, Shu and Bronya's expressions were not so good.

What could make Bronya track Kiana's movements so precisely in this chaotic place? Footprints? Scent? Or did Bronya also recognize that piece of cloth?

Only blood… Kiana… or whoever was with Kiana was hurt. That was the only thing that could leave such a trace.

"We should hurry, we…"

"BOOM!"

In that split second, Shu's mouth was still open, and his body had only turned halfway. His pupils shrunk as he saw the giant monster that had risen from behind the building.

"BANG!" The sound of a gunshot came from the side before Shu could scream, followed by his roar and the Honkai Beast's roar simultaneously.

"RUN!!"

The Chariot-class Honkai Beast locked on the small figures in front of it. It suddenly stood on its hind legs, adopting a comical two-legged pose.

But the next moment, its massive forelimbs came crashing down. The cement buildings in front of it were instantly destroyed like a child's toys. Even the smooth cement road was rippled like the surface of water.

In a split second, the force sent the group flying two meters into the air before slamming onto the ground.

They were like leaves caught in a storm, helplessly dancing in the air, and like a small boat in a massive wave, being tossed around by the furious waves. Their bodies spun in the air like dolls being thrown around, with no chance of resisting. Their hearts seemed to stop, and time itself seemed to freeze, with only the terrifying impact echoing in their ears.

When their bodies finally touched the ground again, they felt a massive tremor as if the entire world was shaking. Their bones felt like they were breaking apart, their organs suffered massive impact, and they couldn't breathe.

Bronya quickly rolled and stood up. She raised her gun again, her face cold.

A small spark came from the red crystal that looked like the Honkai beast's head. Bronya quietly clicked her tongue and looked at Mei and Shu, who were getting up.

"The gun is useless." Bronya looked at the gun in her hand, her expression grave. "At least, this power is useless."

Are you kidding me, a pistol that had a big effect would be a ghost story! Shu, holding his head, stood up, and shouted without any hesitation.

"Run into the buildings! Let's cut through the first floor!"

While the Honkai Beast was slowly getting up, Shu took the lead and rushed towards the nearest building.

The plan was similar to their escape at the train station, using the buildings to slow down the Honkai Beast. They would take advantage of their small size, enter through the front door, and exit through the side.

But just like before, time was their biggest enemy! Luckily, they were close enough, and they were already inside the nearest building in a few steps. They quickly crossed the classroom, and jumped out of the window.

With a building in between, their tense hearts finally relaxed a little.

However, the Honkai beast had already found its footing and was searching for those "ants".

With another huge sound, the massive beast, more than ten meters tall, defied the heaviness that it had given off before. It jumped and landed on top of a six-story building.

Its massive body crushed the top floor of the building. When Shu turned his head, he saw the Chariot-class Honkai Beast revealing a hellish red light to the group.

Then, the Chariot-class Honkai Beast, that monster over ten meters tall, charged at their group.

"Get out of the way!!" Shu only had time to shout before closing his eyes and jumping forward. The massive impact came from behind, mixed with debris, sending Shu flying.

Shu did his best to curl up. He felt himself shatter some glass and hit and overturned a pile of stuff before landing hard on the ground.

Then, countless objects fell on him, blocking out the light and stealing his consciousness.

...[She lay there, the stain of blood marring the pristine white. He reached out, the only way he could, tearing at himself to touch her cold hand.]

Shu stood in the distance. He heard a sound coming from behind, and he started running to that unreachable port.

Then, he would be caught, crushed, and started running again.

Only a cycle...

"Shu! Shu! Can you hear me?!"

Shu felt someone calling him from afar. He stopped, but the expected swallowing didn't happen.

He suddenly felt pain all over his body, and it was growing clearer and clearer.

He turned his head back, toward the source of the voice.

The call was getting closer, and closer. He saw a train flashing its lights coming toward him on the platform.

Closer, and closer...

And then, the train gave him a solid slap.

Shu: "Uhnn?!?"

Shu woke up with a jolt. He felt pain all over his body, but his face was the most painful and was stinging. It was a dull pain, but it didn't feel harmful.

Shu was dazed, but before he could react, he was pulled up, someone's hand firmly grabbed his shoulder and straightened him up.

"You're okay… Thank goodness, you're okay!" A voice tinged with the faintest cries sounded. Shu blinked and then exclaimed.

"Kiana?!" Shu became excited, and he grabbed Kiana's wrist, afraid that she would disappear again. "It's good that you're okay! We've been looking for you for so long!!"

"Everyone…" Shu froze and looked around. "Huh… Where is everyone?"

Shu looked at Kiana in confusion, but got an equally confused look in return.

"Everyone? Did Mei and Bronya, and auntie come?" Kiana looked around at the rubble.

Only then did Shu notice the rubble that had piled up and the dark colors in the sky. He remembered that the sky wasn't that dark...

"Wait, Kiana, did you dig me out?" Shu looked at the steel bar in Kiana's hand. Kiana nodded.

"Yeah, it took me at least half an hour."
