chapter 10
Episode 10
Woo Min-ah was very surprised to hear about Hee Na’s “Home Sweet Home” skill. She hadn’t heard or seen a skill that provided a space called “home” before.
“This is a great skill. If you want to live a normal and safe life like you said, don’t tell anyone else about it. You could be in danger.”
“Really?”
Hee-na didn’t understand Woo Min-ah’s serious attitude because she had just received a free house without thinking much about it.
Woo Min-ah spoke to Hee-na as if to warn her.
“You said you can bring things in and out of the house, but did you ever think that you could be kidnapped and used as a smuggling shuttle without a mouse or bird noticing? Your stats are low, so your self-defense ability is low, but you have an unusual skill. You’ll be in trouble if people with bad intentions approach you.”
“Hmph.”
Hee-na vowed to herself that she would never mention the Home Sweet Home skill to anyone again.
Aside from pointing out the dangers of the ability, Woo Min-ah was horrified when she saw the first status photo of the studio on her phone.
“What, you wouldn’t buy this place if I gave it to you?”
“Uh, big sister. Didn’t you say earlier that my abilities might be in danger?”
“Well, that’s one thing, but this place is so dirty!”
It was an undeniable fact.
“That’s right, so I’ve been cleaning the house for two days and three nights, and I just finished today right before I called you.”
“Do you think cleaning this house will make it better?”
Wu Min’a was skeptical.
Her attitude made her feel like her abilities were somehow denied, so Hee-Na flipped through her phone’s photo album and showed her a series of photos of the house right after cleaning.
As Woo Min-ah stared at the photo album, the first thing she said was.
“……So this is what you cleaned? Isn’t it a different house?”
“No, no. I did it all, and this one was done with the help of my skill called ‘Fingertips’.”
“What’s ‘Fingertips’?”
I asked, and Hee-Na read me the description from the skill window.
“Endless Fingertips. Rank D. Gives everyone a sense of satisfaction with her skill. Passive skill……. It says so.”
“Sounds like your abilities are a bit broader than just cleaning.”
“I think so, too. It seems to be a skill that helps you get better at household chores in general. Should I say it improves your basic skills?”
“Hmm. Well, that skill could be put to good use. How about being a domestic helper? You could post these photos you took and get a job and make a pretty penny.”
Finally, some realistic advice. But Hee-Na shook her head.
“I want to be a regular office worker who comes in on time and leaves on time,” she said, “and I’m a little hard on you, but being a domestic helper is like being a freelancer, after all. I think it would be too unstable to have a lumpy income, and there’s also the issue of major insurance……..”
Woo Min-ah stuck her tongue out at Hee-na’s concave answer.
“You are a person who seeks extreme security, and there is no sense of challenge in a young person.”
“It’s best to be safe, and my motto in life is, ‘Cross a stone bridge only after you’ve knocked on it and seen others cross it.
“Hmm. I don’t cross stone bridges either.”
Woo Min-ah clenched her jaw and fell into thought. Hee-na scratched the back of her head and said apologetically.
“Anyway, with this kind of personality, I think it’s best to live like a normal person, right? So I’ve been contacting companies here and there, looking for my next job.”
“How’s that going? It’s hard to find a job these days.”
Woo Min-ah’s unexpected bluntness bruised Hee-na’s heart.
“……No, you still have plenty of time, you just need to take your time. I’ve been in the workforce for five years, can’t you find your next job?”
“I’m still looking for my next job, you mean there’s nothing I can do right now?”
As a senior hunter, Woo Min-ah was good at hitting the same spot again. Hee-Na nodded reluctantly.
“That’s true…… I’d like to work right now, but I don’t have a job.”
Woo Min-ah thought for a moment, then pulled her chair closer to the table and sat down.
Hee-Na sat up straighter as well, feeling a little intimidated.
Finally, she licked her lips once and then suggested to Hee-Na.
“How would you like to work for our guild?”
“What?”
Hee-na raised her hand at the unexpected suggestion.
“Sister, I’m a D-rank, I barely survived an E-rank dungeon last time, I have less than 30 physical strength, and as you heard earlier, I don’t have any offensive skills, so how am I supposed to join the Blue Dragon Guild? With my abilities, even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to get in even if I died, I know that.”
The words came out of my mouth like cyanide. Anyway, the bottom line was, don’t talk nonsense.
“Fuhahaha!”
Woo Min-ah laughed out loud when she saw Hee-na’s blue face. She clapped her hands.
“I told you before, joining a guild doesn’t make you a Hunter. A guild is a company. There’s an office team, a management team, an HR team, and it’s no different from a normal company. It’s like joining an entertainment agency. It’s the same thing.”
HeeNa blushed at WooMinA’s point.
“I was mistaken when you asked me to join the guild…….”
“Okay. Are you willing to listen to me now?”
“Yes…….”
Hee-na replied meekly, and Woo-min-ah smiled at that, thinking it was cute.
“Well, a member of the Environmental Beautification Team in the Facilities Management Department just left the company. His job title is…… It’s a bit complicated to explain, but he’s a janitor.”
“Don’t big company buildings usually subcontract cleaning companies?”
Woo Min-Ah responded to the practical point.
“As a guild with a lot of Hunters coming and going, there are security issues and some areas that require specialized expertise. So we have a separate team to manage it.”
It was a plausible answer. But it was the next sentence that made hee-na’s ears perk up.
“Of course, it’s a full-time job.”
“……Full-time?”
“The salary is good, it’s just that the work is a bit hectic.”
“How much do you make?”
“You’d have to ask HR, but he makes about as much as a regular office worker. Maybe more if you get incentives or overtime. What do you think?”
Wu Min’er then asked me to meet up with her once in a while to grill meat and drink alcohol like this, and she secretly revealed her true feelings.
It was a grandiose proposal, fueled by greed for meat slaves.
“Hmm.”
Hee-Na was troubled. It was too sudden.
But Wu Min’er’s offer seemed plausible enough, and it was clear that in this ice age of employment, one had to grab the golden opportunity by the horns and parachute in.
“But do you think I’d be good at it?”
“Of course, as far as I’m concerned, Hee-Na, you’re perfectly qualified!”
Then Woo Min-Ah dialed a number somewhere and spoke to someone.
“Hey, didn’t we just lose a guy in Facilities Management last week or so? Is the position filled? Why? No. I was just wondering. I know a good one. Oh, you don’t like the kid? No, but he’s really good. I’ll send you some of his cleaning. You’re gonna love the results. She’s nice, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’ll text you a picture right away, and call me back if you’re okay with that.”
The call ended quickly. Woo Min-ah took the photo from Hee-na, handed it to her caller, and put her phone down with a clang.
Soon after, her phone lit up. It looked like there was a reply.
Hee-na craned her neck and glanced at the screen, curious to see the result.
Woo Min-ah smiled sheepishly and showed her the message on her phone.
[HR Manager Kang Mok-hyun: You look good, but I still need to interview you face-to-face, so set a date].

The next day, Hee-na stood in front of a large building wearing a neat interview suit she had hastily borrowed.
It was the Blue Dragon Guild.
‘I never thought I’d get a job interview so quickly.
The opportunity came so quickly that she wasn’t even nervous. I wasn’t even drunk, because I still felt like I hadn’t gotten over last night.
“Hee-Na Lee, the Goddess of Grilling!”
Hee-na looked around at the sound of her name being called with an embarrassing title.
“Over here, over here!”
It was Lee Hee-Na.
Woo Min-ah, the only guild member who knew Hee-na personally, walked briskly out of the building and clapped Hee-na on the shoulder.
“Hey, my sister. I see you don’t have a hangover. Your face looks fresh.”
It was a very intimate touch for someone who had only met her twice, but Hee-na, who now had a general idea of Woo Min-ah’s personality, agreed.
Woo Min-ah was very hairy and not shy in dealing with people, but she was able to win people’s favor without being overbearing. She had a very good personality.
“You didn’t drink too much yesterday because you were giving career advice to my sister and me.”
“Aww, look at your nice mouth. You’ll get the job today if you just say hello.”
Wu Min’er laughed and led Hee Na into the Blue Dragon Guild.
Hee-na was a little confused about how to get to the interview since it was her first time there, but thank goodness Woo Min-ah was there.
“Did you pick me up?”
“I introduced you, it’s the least I could do.”
“I know you’re busy, but thank you.”
Hee-Na bowed her head in a small gesture.
Woo Min Ah patted Hee Na’s shoulder as if it was no big deal. As a high-level Hunter, her hands were quite strong.
Hee-na smiled, trying to pretend it didn’t hurt.
Woo-min-ah seemed to be a celebrity in the guild, and she walked Hee-na to the interview room, breezing through the many greetings.
