Chapter 235: Chapter 232 - The French Battlefront (3)
The rags that held Mahoraga together began to tear away, one by one, revealing a tall pale humanoid being, over three meters tall. A wheel-like object hovered above his head while the white tail behind his head moved gently sideways.
With every step he took, the ground sank slightly, white smoke came out of the pale creature's mouth while its eyes, which looked like wings, were closed peacefully.
Philip sensed enormous danger coming from that Special Grade Cursed Spirit, there was a malice in it that made the French Prince's face extremely dignified.
Asterion, seeing his reaction, lifted his lips and spoke with a tone full of mirthless innocence. "This is Mahoraga, he killed the Special Grade Wizard from Italy, I hope you enjoy playing with him, Mahoraga loves meeting new friends to play with."
The French Wizard took a deep breath listening to Asterion's words, he filtered out the words meant to irritate him and focused on the information he had received. What stood before him was a real monster capable of killing a Special Grade Wizard!
"Victor, Clarisse, are you just going to watch?" Philip asked, looking in the direction of Andorra la Vieja. Just as he finished speaking, two figures flew across the city sky and quickly arrived at his side. A man and a woman.
Asterion looked at them both with a touch of curiosity. The man looked old, all his hair was as white as it could be, which was rare, given that a wizard aged more slowly and it was only towards the end of his life that his appearance began to age.
He had a stern expression as a sword lay in its scabbard at the man's waist; he was dressed in a simple black suit, without any opulence. If it hadn't been for the sword at his waist and the intensity of the magical aura emanating from the man's tall, erect body, he wouldn't have believed he was a special grade wizard.
Asterion could see that the man in front of him was a simple old man like any other in the world.
Victor Berum, an old nomadic Wizard who had no fixed country.
Next to Victor was a surprisingly young woman, about thirty years old! She had long black hair and purple eyes, the same color as the dress that hugged his body perfectly. Asterion was confused, as he didn't recognize her features, as they didn't match any of the 33 registered Special Grade Wizards and Witches.
"I really want to know what France paid to make you both fight in this foolish war orchestrated by manipulators in the shadows." Asterion didn't jump into combat so quickly, especially without knowing the Enemy's Innate Techniques from those of the woman in the purple dress.
"We weren't paid to fight you to the death, Lord Black, we're just employed to stop your advance." Victor replied, his gray eyes roaming between Asterion and the Pale Beast approaching with slow steps, without any sign of urgency.
Clarisse, standing next to Victor, nodded as she looked at Asterion with a calm but strange gaze, as if she saw something very familiar.
Honestly, Asterion wasn't surprised by Victor's words, the price for encouraging a Special Grade Wizard to kill another Special Grade Wizard couldn't simply be calculated in coins or monetary value, it had to be something important enough to make the wizard in question stronger.
And believe me, something like that wasn't so easy to come by, as you may have noticed after Salazar's surgery on Asterion, the price of these items was often death, which would have happened to Asterion if he hadn't had Baskerville at the time.
Then Asterion's face turned extremely cold as he took a step forward. "Unfortunately, you've miscalculated something... I'm going to fight to kill you three."
Behind him, two other gigantic figures emerged from the Black Suns of energy.
----
Everyone was shocked to see the gigantic six suns above in the sky, even though they were far away, they could feel the maliciousness and the colossal amount of negative magical energy increasing every moment.
It was as if the door to hell had been opened and demons were coming into the world once again.
At the same time, regardless of country, everyone looked at the armor-clad figure in the air with high spirits and full of admiration. Which, if you thought about it, was quite normal, in a world where strength could make you survive, admiration for the strong was in the blood of every wizard or witch.
Daphne, who was wearing black military clothes, just like all the English soldiers, looked up at the sky and the four figures floating in the air. A trace of concern flashed through her eyes, but she quickly focused on the main thing, especially after hearing the orders of the Vice General, Alastor Moody.
Who, by the way, had arrested her uncle, her mother's brother. Not that he didn't deserve to be locked up in Azkaban and die in that hellish place, her uncle had killed a couple of muggles because they'd just bumped into him.
"The big boys upstairs are fighting and when Gods fight, we mere mortals suffer. So back off and focus on capturing the city, we'll get past the French coalition and attack Andorra la Vieja!!!" Moody looked at the four figures in the sky and quickly acted, the man didn't hesitate and ordered all the troops to attack.
In his eyes, it was an excellent opportunity to invade the city now that all the Special Grade Wizards were away!
With Moody's orders, all the English troops moved quickly. No one hesitated, especially the veterans who followed the order immediately.
Seeing the mobilization of the English troops, Duarte and Alejandro didn't hesitate either and ordered the attack, the slowest was the Italian troops, not that the Italian soldiers were bad, but their commander hesitated to give the order and delayed the attack on their part. And when he gave the order, the Allied troops were fifty meters away.
Daphne countered the enemy's spell, he threw a Diffindo at the enemy while she used the Innate technique of House Greengrass, a blade of wind cut the enemy's neck in a mere instant.
Blood splattered in the air as she watched the man's life pass before her, Daphne's face was indifferent and she didn't give him the chance to counterattack even though he was wounded.
A bolt of red lightning shot out from the tip of Daphne's wand, blasting the man into a million pieces in an extremely bloody scene.
Blood splattered onto Daphne's face, almost completely staining her cheek, but the Future Lady of House Black remained indifferent as she looked around, death and more death appearing before her. An extremely bloody and cruel war. Everyone looked like an animal killing itself on other people's orders.
Daphne's blue eyes caught the figure of Asterion's cousin on the battlefield, Nymphadora Tonks. She looked like a goddess of war, her hands transformed into gigantic hammers and smashed the enemy without any resistance, the scene was even bloodier than hers.
At the same time, Daphne noticed that the quality of the French troops seemed far below what was expected for an army guarding the border.
"Is it possible that they left the weakest on the border and reinforced the inner part of the country?" Daphne muttered to herself as her body began to separate from the ground.
"Innate Spell Manipulation - Heart of Nature - Manipulation of the Elements." Wind and lightning surrounded her figure, she looked like a Valkyria, surrounded by wind and lightning.
Like a conductor controlling the orchestra, Daphne controlled the elements by attacking enemy troops without any discrimination, tore up the ground with her powerful lightning and sent enemy wizards and witches flying with violent gusts of wind.
It wasn't just her who started fighting in earnest - Ana Rodriguez - a young Grade 1 Wizard, tore through the battlefield like blinding lightning. Her figure could barely be seen, she was so fast and deadly that she looked like a wizard killing machine, slicing through them like a vegetable.
"Faster, faster, faster." Ana muttered to herself as her body practically transformed into electricity, her hands becoming scythes reaping lives with extreme efficiency and agility.
The Vice General of England, Alastor Moody, walked calmly across the battlefield towards the city while his right eye seemed to move at high speed, it looked strange and extremely frightening.
Around him, gigantic black eyes appeared in the air while anything near him seemed to become extremely frightened to the point of turning and fleeing in complete terror.
The moment this happened, a bolt of green lightning shot out from the tip of his wand and struck his enemies, killing them on the spot, as the consequences of using high level dark magic mattered little in war. That's what Moody was doing, not caring about international laws that forbade such spells in war.
Duarte and Alejandro, seeing the massacre unfolding before them, couldn't help but take a deep breath. They thought it would be difficult to fight an army of almost a thousand wizards and witches, but seeing the situation in front of them, they estimated that within ten minutes, the enemy troops would surrender or retreat into the city.
And as they expected, the enemies did indeed see the situation they were in and retreated towards the city while still maintaining a front line of spells, delaying the troops from England, Portugal, Spain and Italy.
Seeing the situation, they both looked up and anxiously awaited the outcome of the battle taking place in the sky at that moment!
Suddenly, their expressions changed dramatically as the sky darkened in front of them.
A meteor swept through the clouds and plummeted towards the ground!
In the next second, a deafening explosion rang out across the world as a flash of light blurred the vision of many, including the ministers of magic themselves.
BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
