Chapter 31: The Plan
After the trip to the Neutral area was completed, Celestine and her knights returned to her side of the kingdom. The next day, in the castle of Feoh, Celestine stood before two glowing crystals, each projecting the holographic images of Aiden and Olga. The crystal displaying Aiden's image had been given to her by him during the meeting.
Aiden, ever calm and collected, was the first to speak. "Kotarou came with information, so we can finally start this... war meeting?"
Celestine looked at the image of Aiden, her eyes narrowing slightly as she processed his words. "I assume you've gathered something useful, Aiden," she replied, her tone professional but with an edge of weariness, a hint of the heavy burden she carried as she prepared for the next phase of this delicate and dangerous situation.
Olga, on the other hand, was already leaning forward, her gaze fierce. "Let's cut to the chase. I have no interest in wasting time. The sooner we deal with the orcs, the sooner I can begin securing my lands again."
Aiden raised an eyebrow, amused by Olga's urgency. "Of course, Your Majesty. Kotarou's intel suggests that the orc forces are preparing for another large-scale push. They've consolidated their forces around the southern borders, but there's also word of a new commander emerging from within their ranks. We need to deal with him if we want to avoid a full-blown invasion."
Celestine leaned forward slightly, intrigued by the new development. "A new commander? This could change the entire tide of the conflict if he proves to be capable. Do we have any information on this leader?"
Aiden nodded. "Not much yet, but Kotarou's report indicates that the orc armies are more organized than before, and they're not just using brute force—they've been employing guerrilla tactics, coordinating their movements and striking at key resources."
Olga sneered. "Guerrilla tactics? They're starting to think like us... this new commander could prove useful if he doesn't get in our way."
Celestine frowned. "This is why we need to move quickly. If we don't take out the orcs now, they might pose a much larger threat in the near future."
Aiden paused for a moment, considering the weight of their options. "Our next step is to neutralize the orc leader, then dismantle their command structure from within. Once we have control of their leadership, the rest of the orcs will fall in line. This isn't just about brute force anymore; it's about precision strikes and breaking their morale."
Olga crossed her arms, a faint smirk on her lips. "Precision strikes, huh? I'm interested to see what you have in mind, Aiden. It sounds... efficient."
Aiden's expression hardened. "We'll need to work together on this. The more unified our forces are, the quicker we can eradicate the orc threat. But don't mistake this for anything more than business. I'm not here to forge alliances out of the goodness of my heart."
Celestine glanced at Olga, then back at Aiden. "I understand. This is about survival, and right now, we all need to focus on that. Let's discuss the specifics. What's your plan?"
Aiden took a deep breath, setting the stage for the plan that had been carefully crafted. "First, we take out the orc's leadership. Kotarou's intel gives us a location where their new commander is holed up. Once we eliminate him, we'll send a strike team to destabilize their supply lines, forcing their remaining forces into disarray. After that, we push forward with our combined armies, cutting them down piece by piece."
Olga's eyes gleamed with cold approval. "A ruthless plan... I like it."
Celestine was less convinced. "And what's the catch, Aiden? Surely there's more to this than simply eliminating the leader."
Aiden smiled, but there was no warmth in it. "The catch is simple: you must maintain your end of the bargain. No more interfering with my operations. No more games. We work together, or we fall apart."
Celestine stared at Aiden for a long moment, before nodding slowly. "Agreed. I will do my part. But you must remember, Aiden, this doesn't mean we're friends."
Olga let out a short laugh. "Friendship is for the weak. Let's get to work."
The three of them—each a player in this deadly game—knew that this plan could lead to victory or disaster. But for now, it was the only option that made sense. The battle for the orcs had begun, and with it, the next chapter of their uneasy alliance.
Celestine then looked at Aiden. "Will you be meeting the Kuroinu".
Aiden looked at her. "I will pass, your knight and there leader as you call him Vault can do this".
The real reason Aiden didn't want to meet the Kuroinu, not just because of his hate for them but also because what was the point in making friends with people he will be using to upgrade him self to a demon lord when the time comes, but they didn't need to know that.
Aiden then looked at Celetsine as he told a half lie, as it was a truth. "I have my Goblin and Inferno Wolfe's lead, Olga has her monster and dark elf's, and I need to keep these People in check, so I would not like extra people"
Celestine raised an eyebrow, scrutinizing Aiden as he spoke. She had a feeling there was more to his decision than what he was letting on, but she chose not to press him further for now. Instead, she nodded in understanding, though a hint of concern lingered in her eyes.
"I see," she said, her voice soft but deliberate. "If you're sure, Aiden. The Kuroinu could be an asset if they're used right, but I understand the need for caution. However, you're playing a dangerous game. Keeping control over your forces, especially the goblins and inferno wolves, isn't going to be easy."
Aiden smirked, the corner of his mouth curling into a confident grin. "I'm not worried about them. I have everything under control. But adding more players to the field could complicate things unnecessarily. The Kuroinu might be useful in the future, but not right now."
Celestine's eyes narrowed slightly, but she didn't argue further. She had seen enough of Aiden's methods to know that he was always thinking several steps ahead, even if it meant leaving allies or potential alliances on the backburner. He had his own plans, and at the moment, those plans didn't include the Kuroinu.
"I'll let Vault know," Celestine said, her voice steady as she turned toward the crystal showing Olga's image. "But remember, Aiden, you can't do everything alone. If the Kuroinu are as dangerous as some say, you may need their help sooner rather than later."
Aiden chuckled darkly. "Help is a fickle thing, Celestine. When the time comes, I'll decide who to trust and who to use. For now, I have my hands full with the current situation. The orcs and the dark elves are enough to keep us busy."
Olga's holographic form flickered slightly as she adjusted her posture, clearly growing impatient. "Enough of the chatter. Let's deal with the orcs. I'll send my dark elves to assist, but don't think for a second that this makes us allies beyond this war."
Aiden's gaze shifted toward the image of Olga, his voice cold but resolute. "We're not allies, Olga. We're just two sides with a common enemy for now. Keep that in mind."
Celestine watched the exchange in silence, unsure whether she was witnessing the beginning of something temporary or the setup for a far more complex conflict. But she knew better than to get caught up in the personal rivalries between Aiden and Olga.
"Alright," Celestine finally said, breaking the silence. "I'll prepare my knights and send word to Vault. It seems we have a plan to put into motion."
As the meeting concluded, Aiden stood up, his mind already working on the next steps. There were many pieces on the board, and he needed to make sure he stayed ahead of the game. For now, the orcs were the primary threat, but in the back of his mind, the Kuroinu, the dark elves, and the goblins were all part of a much larger picture—a picture that would lead him to his ultimate goal: ascension to a demon lord.
And that, he knew, would take more than just brute strength—it would take cunning, strategy, and the careful manipulation of every force at his disposal.
Meanwhile in a different place, was Kin as he was Infront of Vault.
Kin looked at his leader Ans spoke. "And that what Lady Celestine said, she wants out help, to deal with Orc disaster, she is paying is very well".
Vault just laughed. "That woman has no idea what she is doing, she I playing into our hands, and soon we will have our sex empire".
The whole Kuroinu then raised there hand in joy, as Kin sigehd it was almost like they forgot that the Celestine and Olga has just singed a peace trity, to be frank Kin was ready to jump ship onces the orc were killed he felt like Aiden that slime was planing something and it was not going to end will if he stayed here, plus there god truth fits with him and he never was in this group for the Sex Empire plan just for the knowledge of Magic Celestine had in her library.
Kin stood before Vault and the rest of the Kuroinu with an air of discomfort, his gaze flickering across the room as the group cheered enthusiastically. The laughter and joy from the Kuroinu made him feel uneasy—this wasn't a path he wanted to continue on, especially given how everything was shifting. He had joined for one purpose: knowledge. But now, with the peace treaty between Celestine and Olga, things were taking a turn he hadn't anticipated.
Vault, however, seemed unfazed by the developments. He leaned back in his chair, grinning widely at the praise from his followers. "Once we control the orcs, and use them to our advantage, we'll expand our influence across these lands. The empire will be ours, and everyone will bow before us."
Kin couldn't help but feel the weight of the words. Vault's ambitions had always been reckless, but now there was something darker—something he didn't want to be part of. The plans for a "sex empire" had always felt wrong, but Kin had tolerated it. He had seen the potential to learn magic and become more powerful. But now? Now, with Aiden and the peace between Celestine and Olga, Kin realized that staying in the Kuroinu would only drag him deeper into a sinking ship.
He glanced around, his thoughts turning toward the truth. Aiden's power, his plans, and the way the pieces were moving on the board—it was all too much for someone like Vault to understand. Aiden, for all his arrogance and determination, wasn't the kind of person to be caught in a losing game. Kin had seen it in the way he handled the situation with Olga, his sheer force of will. If Kin wanted to survive, he needed to stay away from the wreckage that was Vault's vision of conquest.
Vault's voice brought him back to reality, snapping him from his thoughts. "Kin! You don't look so excited. Why the long face? You should be thrilled at the prospects we have before us!"
Kin gave a half-hearted smile, but it was clear his heart wasn't in it. "I'm just... thinking," he muttered. "About the future."
Vault raised an eyebrow, clearly misinterpreting Kin's mood. "Thinking? Don't waste your time, Kin. The future is ours, and it will be glorious. You'll see. Once we're done with the orcs, no one will stand in our way."
Kin's mind raced. He had to make a decision—quickly. He couldn't just stand by and let things unfold the way Vault and the Kuroinu wanted. The thought of betraying them, of leaving everything behind, was not an easy one. But staying in this group would eventually mean his downfall. He would either end up caught in the chaos or become just another tool in Vault's twisted game.
It was time to make a move.
"I think... I think I'll take some time for myself," Kin finally said, breaking the tension. "I'll help with the orcs, but after that... I'm done."
Vault's smile faded, and for the first time, Kin saw a flicker of suspicion in his eyes. "Done? What do you mean, done?"
Kin's heart thudded in his chest, but he kept his expression neutral. "I've got my own goals now. I'm not interested in your empire. If you'll excuse me, I'll prepare for the mission and take my leave after that."
The room grew tense as the Kuroinu stared at him. Vault looked as if he were about to say something, but then he just shook his head. "Fine. Do what you will, Kin. But know this—if you leave, there will be no coming back. We don't take kindly to traitors."
Kin's eyes hardened. "I'm not a traitor. I'm just choosing a different path."
With that, he turned and walked away from Vault, his mind already set. He wasn't going to be part of this any longer. He would gather the knowledge he needed and make his own way. He would find a new purpose, one that didn't revolve around the twisted plans of the Kuroinu or the chaos of Vault's ambitions.
Kin didn't know exactly what his future held, but one thing was clear: it wouldn't be with the Kuroinu. He had already seen the bigger picture—the war, Aiden, Celestine, and the peace treaty. He was going to take control of his own destiny, no matter the cost.
