I Spread Pokemon All Over the World

Chapter 24 - Why did I draw a fox again

Chapter 24: Why did I draw a fox again

“Another beautiful day. I hope we’ll have good business today as well,” Gu Xin muttered as he opened the shop door, feeling the warmth of the morning sun on his skin after a good night’s sleep. He was about to light a cigarette when he noticed two people approaching from far away.

“Hey there, Mr. Lin. Good morning,” Gu Xin blinked, and one of the approaching figures was Lin Sheng. He immediately greeted them with a smile. After all, Mr. Li was a potential customer, and it was clear that Lin Sheng had brought in a new customer.

“Good morning, boss. But your store opens a bit late, doesn’t it?” Lin Sheng also smiled at Guxin and glanced at the already high sun. It was almost ten o’clock now…

“Ah, hahaha. Sorry, sorry. I was busy last night,” Guxin chuckled awkwardly.

“This is my cousin, Chen Yun. He also wants to buy a pet from your store today,” Lin Sheng introduced Chen Yun to Gu Xin. With his cousin’s backing today, Lin Sheng could try his luck at drawing another Pokémon.

“Hello, boss.”

“Hello. Since you’re here as customers, please feel free to look around the store,” Gu Xin smiled and shook hands with Chen Yun. Although he was dressed casually, the calm and confident aura around Chen Yun suggested he wasn’t an ordinary person.

Well, a potential client.

When the three of them entered the store, Chen Yun glanced around, and his eyes instantly fixed on Diancie at the front desk.

“It’s really beautiful.”

Chen Yun couldn’t help saying with emotion that he had never seen such a gorgeous creature.

“It’s a pity that Lin Sheng mentioned to him last night that Diancie is Guxin’s Pokemon.”

Chen Yun’s lips curled as he realized he could just draw one for himself.

“So, is it Mr. Chen who will draw?” Guxin asked.

“Let Lin Sheng draw first.”

Chen Yun didn’t rush to draw. He let Lin Sheng go first to observe the process.

“I made sure to wash my hands before coming out today. Let’s get an exceptional one!” Lin Sheng wasn’t being modest either. He took the Pokédex from Guxin’s hand and wiped it on his pants as if it were a solemn ritual, causing Chen Yun’s eyelid to twitch.

Guxin just chuckled. Drawing a Pokémon was a random process. Did Lin Sheng really believe in that stuff?

Go!

Lin Sheng pressed the “Go” button, his gaze fixed on the shadows continuously swiping across the Pokédex screen.

Chen Yun was also curious, watching these shadows ranging from large to small, fat to thin, and there were indeed many of them.

The speed of the shadows slowed down gradually, finally coming to a stop.

“Boss, what’s this?” Lin Sheng was stunned when he saw the Pokémon in the Pokédex.

“Ah? This is a Firefox.” Guxin also looked at it and was slightly surprised. He gave Lin Sheng a strange look. Another fox…

“A Fire-type fox?”

“Customer, you must be joking. It’s called a Firefox because it’s a Fire-type fox,” Guxin replied.

“Oh…” Lin Sheng stared at the Pokédex blankly. How was he supposed to understand this? How did he end up drawing a fox again? And a Firefox at that?

Moreover, didn’t the Fire Fox’s attribute completely overlap with his Vulpix?

But when he looked at the Pokédex’s image of the large-eared, yellow-colored fox, it was so cute…

“Boss, I’ll take this one.”

In the end, Lin Sheng made up his mind. So what if it’s a fox? He liked foxes, that’s all.

“Alright, please wait a moment,” Guxin nodded with a smile and headed towards the partitioned area.

“You’ll have a companion from now on, Vulpix.”

Lin Sheng bent down and rubbed Vulpix’s small head, affectionately cooing at it.

Vulpix blinked its big eyes and let out a soft whimper.

“Tsk tsk, Impressive, my dear cousin. Raising two foxes,” Chen Yun admired, expressing his astonishment at Lin Sheng’s luck. Drawing two foxes in a row – who was this guy?

Does this imply something?

“The fox is also very good, mainly because it is beautiful.”

I couldn’t tell why it was reasonable. Lin Sheng couldn’t help but be helpless, but he still had to be stubborn.

Chen Yun shrugged, but judging from the picture alone. Fennekin is pretty.

“Fennekin is here.”

When Guxin’s voice came, Lin Sheng and Chen Yun hurriedly looked over.

Behind Guxin, a petite and cute big-eared fox looked up curiously and followed Guxin step by step.

“So cute!” Lin Sheng’s eyes instantly lit up.

It was incredibly adorable with a mostly yellow fur coat, a pair of ruby-like red-orange vertical slit pupils, big fluffy ears, and red fur on its bushy tail. It gave off a natural and innocent aura.

Ding~ Firefox, Fire-type, Fox Pokémon

Ability: Blaze

Moves: Scratch, Tail Whip, Ember

It carries small branches as snacks, chews on them, and breathes hot air from its ears to intimidate opponents.

Lin Sheng took out his Pokédex to check the information about the Firefox.

A fox that eats branches?

Well… he’ll have to start eating energy blocks for every meal from now on!

“Mr. Lin, your luck is quite good. Firefox is a very intelligent and clever Pokémon. Its potential is outstanding. If you raise it well, it will undoubtedly become one of your main forces,” Guxin smiled at Lin Sheng. After all, the Firefox was one of the three starter Pokémon of the Kalos region. If it was one of the starters, none of them were weak.

“Firefox, from now on, it’s your trainer, so be obedient,” Guxin then bent down and rubbed the soft fur of the Firefox, speaking to it in a gentle tone.

Whimper! The Firefox made a soft sound and curiously gazed at Lin Sheng with its big, clear, and beautiful eyes.

“Nice to meet you, Firefox.” Lin Sheng cautiously approached the Firefox and spoke to it gently. Those eyes were just so beautiful!

Lin Sheng couldn’t help but feel that the Fire Fox’s appearance was no worse than his Vulpix’s. In fact, in terms of cuteness, it surpasses Vulpix.

Vulpix also curiously approached the Firefox, twitching its little nose as it sniffed around its body.

Chen Yun looked at the two Pokémon, and envy overflowed in his eyes.

“It seems Mr. Lin is very satisfied. The price of the Firefox is 200,000. Would you like to pay by card or in cash?” Guxin smiled.

“By card, but can I pay with mine later, Boss? Can I draw now?” Chen Yun didn’t wait for Lin Sheng to respond and quickly asked.

“Of course, you can. Please, Mr. Chen, try and see which cute Pokémon you’ll draw,” Guxin naturally agreed, passing his Pokédex back to Chen Yun.

“Huh!”

After receiving the store manager’s Pokedex, Chen Yun breathed a sigh of relief. He felt a little nervous.

I had never felt this since I left school and started my own business.

Lightly clicking on the ‘Go’ in the Pokedex, Chen Yun stared closely at the black shadow that was turning on the Pokedex.

The two little foxes were having a good time, and Lin Sheng approached Chen Yun, curious about what his cousin could get.

One second, two seconds, three seconds…

The speed of the black shadow’s rotation slowed and finally stopped, and a green Pokemon appeared in the eyes of the two.

“Hey? Is this a little dinosaur?”
