I, The Aeon of Trailblaze, Trailblazing the Multiverse

Chapter 10: March 7th: I’m So Angry My Chest Shrunk!

Koichi Shido's face twitched as he looked up at the pink-haired girl standing confidently on a "high-tech hoverboard."

How did she get here so fast?

He hadn't even started organizing the clueless students yet.

This won't do. This can't do at all.

He couldn't afford to miss such a golden opportunity to establish control and rise to power. But as his scheming thoughts churned, March 7th began addressing the students, her cheerful demeanor slightly strained by the overwhelming barrage of questions. In her earpiece, Welt's calm voice provided instructions.

"Got it, Uncle Yang," she muttered.

When in doubt, consult Uncle Yang.

March 7th descended gracefully to the ground, landing lightly among the students. None of them dared approach her. After all, the man before her had demonstrated godlike power, and she was clearly associated with him. Surely, she too wielded such divine strength.

"Alright, alright, everyone," she began, clapping her hands to get their attention. "Quiet down, please."

"I know you're all panicking, but first, let me explain what's going on. Take a deep breath and listen carefully."

She raised her voice slightly to carry over the murmurs.

"First of all, your world has officially hit the apocalypse."

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

"The reason? It's because some of your bigwig researchers were playing with human genetics, trying to create eternal life. But their little science experiment went kaboom and leaked out of their labs."

She paused, pointing out matter-of-factly, "Yup, that's right. Your country's high-ranking officials and the CEOs of those mega-corporations are to blame."

"Now, 70% of the world's population has turned into those Zombies."

She placed her hands on her hips. "Lucky for you, though, the Astral Express happened to arrive in your world. Otherwise, you'd all be toast."

The students' stunned silence quickly turned to murmurs of anger and outrage.

"Those vile scumbags!"

"Lab leaks? It's gotta be from some military base!"

"Absolutely! And those useless politicians in the council probably knew about it too!"

"They all deserve to rot!"

Saeko Busujima, who had been quietly observing, caught some of the keywords in March 7th's explanation. Her eyes widened slightly in realization.

Stepping forward, she addressed March 7th cautiously, "Excuse me… you mentioned our world? And what exactly is the Astral Express?"

Does that mean… you're not from our world?

March 7th turned her bright eyes toward Saeko. "Oh, don't rush me, I'm getting there!"

With a dramatic flourish, she placed a hand on her chest. "Alright, introduction time!"

"My name is March 7th, and I'm a Nameless, a follower of the Aeon of Trailblaze, Akivili."

She continued with an energetic wave of her hand. "The Astral Express is a train that travels across the galaxy, visiting planets and worlds. Think of it as a cosmic train connecting different universes."

"It was created by Lord Akivili himself, and we Nameless are travelers on the Path of Trailblaze, following in his footsteps."

She tapped her chin thoughtfully. "We arrived in your planet's orbit… uh, about twenty minutes ago, give or take."

"And then we discovered that your world is in the middle of this biological apocalypse."

"Of course, when faced with a crisis like this, we Nameless can't just sit back and watch."

"Following Lord Akivili's will, we've come to save your civilization."

She clapped her hands together, her tone brightening. "So that's the gist of it! Now, let's all head to the city center. Uncle Yang will get everything organized for you to rebuild society post-crisis."

March 7th's explanation was straightforward, and thanks to the strong influence of anime and light novels in this culture, the students' imaginations quickly pieced together the scenario.

Saya Takagi, the pink-haired twin-tailed girl, slowly processed everything. Her disbelief melted into a stunned expression as she muttered, "So… that's it. You're aliens."

Miyamoto Rei, her long yellow hair slightly trembling, swallowed hard. "So there really are aliens and gods in this world."

Shizuka Marikawa blinked blankly. "Aeon of Trailblaze? What kind of god is that? So, are all of you shrine maidens and priests?"

March 7th blinked her eyes. "The Trailblaze Aeon Akivili? Forget it, you wouldn't understand even if I explained. Just know that Lord Akivili is one of the most powerful gods in the entire universe."

"We 'Nameless' are just followers. Well, think whatever you like."

After speaking, March 7th turned around and waved her hand at the group behind her.

"Let's go, let's go. There are still a lot of people waiting for this lady to rescue them."

The students instinctively followed March 7th.

Koichi Shido's expression instantly turned sour as he watched. His eyes darted around, spinning with thoughts, as if an idea had struck him. He raised his voice loudly.

"Wait a minute! You, the alien girl named March 7th."

March 7th stopped in her tracks, and all the students turned to look at Koichi Shido in confusion.

"What's the matter, Mr. Shido?" a student asked curiously.

Miyamoto Rei, looking at Koichi Shido, bit her lip and clenched her fists, her hatred unmistakable.

Why is this scum teacher not a Zombie yet? Why hasn't he been bitten?

The bullying and isolation she had suffered at school, being maliciously held back a grade—it was all because of this man.

She never understood why this wretched teacher targeted her, even to the point where she had once contemplated suicide because of the isolation and torment.

"What's the problem?" March 7th asked, looking at Koichi Shido with confusion.

"Is there something else you want to ask? Then make it quick; this lady is very busy."

Koichi Shido adjusted his glasses, the reflected light making his expression seem particularly sinister. "Of course, alien girl, I'll make this quick."

His tone became deliberately provocative.

"Alien girl, what you've just told us is nothing more than your side of the story."

"How do we know you didn't release the virus?"

"Maybe it's part of your plan to wipe out humanity and enslave the survivors."

"After all, who knows if you've come here with some other purpose?"

"Like… colonization, perhaps."

Koichi Shido laughed coldly to himself, feeling both thrilled and smug. Perfect. Perfect. As expected of me.

See? The students are starting to think.

And this alien girl looks naïve enough to fall for it.

Even if this doesn't succeed, I'll still gain some subtle advantages. After all, if they're establishing a new order, they'll have to grant someone like me certain concessions to keep me placated.

March 7th's eyes widened in disbelief. "Huh? Releasing the virus? Colonization? Us?" She put her hands on her hips and glared. "Are you kidding me? We're the 'Nameless' of Trailblaze! Is there anyone in the universe who hasn't heard of the reputation of the 'Astral Express' crew?"

Koichi Shido, feigning righteousness, retorted, "We are just ordinary humans who've never ventured beyond our planet. Alien girl, we can't simply take your word for it. So far, it's all one-sided claims. Prove that you didn't release the virus and explain your true purpose."

Heh, once she starts trying to 'prove' herself, the advantage is mine.

The students, hearing Koichi Shido's words, furrowed their brows and looked back and forth between March 7th and him.

Yeah, it kind of makes sense… Aliens and all…

Just as March 7th was about to explode with anger, a deep, soul-penetrating laugh rang out.

[Hahahahahahahaha!]

[How amusing! This sort of scene is so overdone in fan fiction, yet here it is playing out for real.]

[The grotesque desires of carbon-based intelligent life forms truly are endlessly entertaining.]
