I'M IN ARK SURVIVAL BUT WITH MODS

Chapter 22: PREPARATIONS TO START TAMING DINOSAURS 2

¡¡¡ZASH!!!

¡¡¡ZASH!!!

¡¡¡ZASH!!!

The sand on the shore rose a few centimeters off the ground as Fer sprinted at full speed toward his base.

The time he spent running at full speed was only a few minutes. As he turned the apparent mountain rising into the sky, Fer saw his shoebox-shaped base.

When he finally reached the base, he opened the stone door, taking a small leap to enter inside. The first thing Fer did was check the cooked meat he had left on the three bonfires he had lit earlier, which were now extinguished as the wood had burned out.

In the first bonfire, which was next to the wall, he found 300 pieces of charcoal, which were previously the wood he had used to keep the bonfire lit. He also found 66 cooked meat and 2 spoiled meat. Essentially, the other two bonfires contained the same.

A total of 200 units of cooked meat had been prepared, but during the time he was away, 4 units had spoiled. Additionally, the wood had turned into charcoal as it burned. The charcoal was very useful for making gunpowder in the mortar. In the not-so-distant future, he could soon make firearms or C4.

Thinking about these things related to firearms, Fer remembered that a few hours ago he had leveled up by 11 levels, bringing his engram points to 239. Thanks to the Kill and Gather mod, his current level was now 31, likely unlocking new items.

He quickly clicked and went directly to the engram tab to see what new items he could learn.

Fer's eyes lit up as he saw everything available, including metal tools, the forge, and saddles for dinosaurs like the Doedicurus, Stego, or Beelzebufo. He also noticed the first firearm had been unlocked: the revolver, along with its bullets and scope attachment.

He immediately learned what was most useful for his current situation.

He learned the workbench to craft advanced items that couldn't be made in his inventory, the metal pick and hatchet to gather more resources (although he was still missing the metal hatchet to have both tools at the same time), the metal spear for its durability, and the Stego saddle for future taming. He also learned the small bear trap, the giant doorframe and reinforced door, the revolver, simple bullets, the metal sickle to gather more fiber, and the scope for better aiming with the revolver or future weapons.

Despite learning all these items, he still had 103 engram points left to spend.

Fer stroked his chin thoughtfully, pondering what else to learn that might be useful now or in the future. As his eyes scanned the menu repeatedly, they settled on three grids he had previously ignored.

These three grids were for small and medium crop plots. At his current stage, crop plots were not very useful due to a lack of materials and inconvenience. To maximize their efficiency, he would need a lot of crystal and a tamed dung beetle to provide a constant supply of fertilizer.

Even though he had a 5x multiplier, some resources like potatoes or lemons could not be gathered by hand. Although he did not yet have a dung beetle, he did have another viable option.

To start a crop plot, he could either wait until level 32 to unlock the toilet (which produces fertilizer when used) or use the Stack Mod to manage dinosaur feces efficiently. Without the mod, stacking feces (human or dinosaur) would be impossible, and the short spoil timer would make it impractical compared to fertilizer, which could also be stacked.

Fer shook his head. "For now, I won't make a crop plot. When I have a few tamed dinosaurs, I'll start working on it," he said, taking one last look at the available items. In the end, he only learned the grenade after carefully reviewing everything.

The grenade might not be very useful at the moment, but no one knows what the future holds.

Now that he had learned everything, Fer focused on other matters, such as crafting narcotics. He walked over to the mortars, opened their inventories, and divided the spoiled meat and blackberries to simultaneously craft narcotics for tranquilizer arrows.

The crafting process was slow. To make all 578 narcotics, it would take at least 40 minutes to an hour.

While the narcotics were being crafted, Fer stayed busy. He checked the three forges to see how much metal had been smelted into ingots.

To his surprise, the three forges had already stopped burning. Each forge contained 500 charcoal and 137 metal ingots. In total, there were 1,500 charcoal and 413 metal ingots.

With these metal ingots, he could craft many items that were previously impossible. In his inventory, he made the forge at the cost of 5 metal ingots, 50 stone, 30 wood, and 20 hide. Once the forge was ready, he placed it against the front wall, next to the three forges.
