I’m the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 1313: Nidoqueen's Delight

Hearing Yuga's words, Nidoqueen was momentarily stunned. It laughed and said, "Deal with Aerodactyl? How would you do that? If it were possible, wouldn't I have done it already?"

Yuga replied, "Well, because we weren't here before, right?"

Nidoqueen laughed even louder. "You? Are you saying you have the ability to deal with Aerodactyl?" Its tone was full of disbelief.

No one understood Aerodactyl's strength better than Nidoqueen—it was an almost insurmountable challenge to deal with that creature.

Knowing Nidoqueen wouldn't believe him, Yuga simply smiled without saying more. Instead, he took out a Poké Ball. With a flash of red light, Nana appeared in front of Nidoqueen.

"How about a sparring match?" Yuga suggested.

Seeing Nana, Nidoqueen's laughter abruptly stopped. Its gaze became wary and uncertain. Just the slight aura Nana had unconsciously released for a brief moment reminded Nidoqueen of another being as formidable as Aerodactyl.

Nidoqueen had some impression of Nana since it had seen her with Yuga before. Back then, Nana's strength had seemed decent but not exceptional—good enough to leave an impression, but nowhere close to being a match for it.

However, in such a short time, Nana had become so much stronger. Was human training really this effective?

Nana's aura only flared for an instant when she exited the Poké Ball before being completely restrained. For a moment, Nidoqueen almost thought it had sensed incorrectly. Eventually, it agreed.

"Alright, let's see what your strength is like."

Without being fully certain of Yuga's strength, Nidoqueen wasn't about to agree to join forces against Aerodactyl. As the pillar of its clan, any mishap to Nidoqueen could spell disaster for the entire group.

"A man is not guilty, but bearing treasures can invite trouble."

Though Nidoqueen had never heard this saying, it deeply understood its meaning. To the other Pokémon on the island, the Nido family who are possessing Revival Herbs, was like a piece of meat that was attracting hungry predators. If given the chance, they would pounce without hesitation.

Nidoqueen couldn't afford to take that risk!

If Yuga's group failed, they could simply leave, but the Nido family would have to endure Aerodactyl's retaliation, along with that of its minions.

Yuga understood Nidoqueen was still injured. To ensure a fair match, he used his special ability to heal its wounds.

Though Nidoqueen's injuries weren't severe, Yuga had honed his abilities through hard work, allowing him to heal them with ease.

With its injuries gone, Nidoqueen was in much better spirits. Even minor wounds could be uncomfortable, and if they could be healed instantly, why not?

Besides, even if Yuga and his group lacked the strength to help eliminate Aerodactyl, they had still brought Max Revive. With those, the survival pressure on the Nido family would lessen significantly.

Nidoqueen had already decided it would trade for as many Max Revive as possible to stockpile.

Since it wasn't convenient to spar in the cave, Nidoqueen led Yuga's group outside.

As they walked, Joyan whispered to Yuga, "Captain, are you confident about this?" Although she knew Nana was strong, Nidoqueen was overwhelmingly powerful, and she couldn't help but feel uneasy.

Yuga gave her a reassuring look. "Don't worry; it'll be fine."

Seeing Yuga's confidence, Joyan finally relaxed. Although she hadn't known Yuga for long, she could tell he wasn't someone who made empty boasts.

Led by Nidoqueen, Yuga, Joyan, and Nana arrived at an open space within the Nido family's territory. The area was spacious, used by the Nido family for sparring and combat practice.

Most of the Nido family were naturally combative, so they had cleared this space for that purpose.

When the other members saw Nidoqueen and Nana standing on opposite sides of the field, they didn't understand what was happening but quickly gathered around curiously to watch.

Nidoking roared at its kin, signaling that it was about to spar with Nana and forbidding any interference from the other members of the Nido family.

Nidoqueen held the highest position within the Nido family. Even though Yuga and his group had helped the tribe earlier by thwarting Rhydon's ambush, the other Nido tribe members still glared angrily at Yuga and Joyan, making their scalps tingle.

In their view, having Nana battle Nidoqueen was outright disrespectful to their revered leader.

Since the sparring between Nana and Nidoqueen didn't require Yuga's commands as a Trainer, he naturally took on the role of referee.

"Alright, the sparring begins now!" he announced.

As soon as Yuga's words fell, Nidoqueen made the first move. With a sweeping motion of its arms, countless deep purple spikes scattered across the ground—it had used the Toxic Spikes technique.

The densely packed purple spikes radiated a potent poison. If Nana stepped on the ground, she would risk being poisoned by stepping on them.

In response, Nana disappeared from her original position in a flash and reappeared mid-air, using her psychic powers to levitate herself above the field.

Nana spread her arms wide, and her psychic energy materialized into sharp, floating spikes. Suspended before her, each of these spikes appeared razor-sharp and deadly.

In the next instant, under Nana's precise control, the psychic spikes shot forcefully toward Nidoqueen.

Simultaneously, a flicker of purple light flashed through Nana's eyes. The air above her head distorted momentarily before returning to normal.

Nidoqueen raised one of its claws, summoning sharp stone blades to float around it. With a powerful sweep of its massive arm, the stone blades collided with Nana's psychic spikes.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of intense explosions erupted in the air. Countless shards of stone rained down as the stone blades and psychic spikes clashed and canceled each other out.

Amid the smoke created by the explosions, a psychic spike suddenly pierced through, hurtling straight toward Nidoqueen. It narrowly missed impaling Nidoqueen's chest as it dodged just in time.

Another thunderous explosion followed as the psychic spike detonated near Nidoqueen's feet. Though unscathed, Nidoqueen's expression finally shifted.

Its Stone Edge attack had been outmatched by Nana's Psychic abilities!

There was no time to dwell on the matter. Nidoqueen swiftly condensed a large Shadow Ball in front of its chest and hurled it forcefully at the levitating Nana.

However, Nana excelled at teleportation. Her figure shimmered briefly before disappearing, reappearing behind Nidoqueen in an instant.

Psychic spikes appeared once more, and under Nana's control, they aimed for Nidoqueen's back.

Yet, as if Nidoqueen had eyes on its back, it seemed to anticipate Nana's move. Swinging its thick, muscular tail with immense force, the spikes were shattered one after another by its Iron Tail.

At that moment, two vortexes suddenly appeared above Nidoqueen's head, each releasing a light wheel that shot toward her at lightning speed.

Nidoqueen's full attention was focused on Nana behind her, leaving her completely unprepared for the attack. The two light wheels struck Nidoqueen with precision.

It turned out that Nana had already set up the powerful Future Sight move beforehand.

Boom! Boom!

Nidoqueen let out a pained cry, clutching her wounds as she fell to her knees. The other members of the Nido family, witnessing this, attempted to step forward, but Nidoqueen stopped them. However, their glares toward Yuga grew even harsher.

The Nido family members were not the understanding or reasonable type. They only knew that their queen had been injured because of the humans before them.

Yuga ignored their piercing stares and addressed Nidoqueen. "Do you want to continue the sparring? Do you think our strength is sufficient to help you deal with Aerodactyl?"

Nidoqueen shook her head as she stood up, indicating that the sparring was no longer necessary. This level of exchange was enough for her to fully acknowledge Nana's strength.

Nana was indeed powerful—perhaps even beyond Nidoqueen herself. With Nana's assistance, they might truly be able to resolve the trouble brought by Aerodactyl once and for all.

At this moment, not only was Nidoqueen unbothered by her loss to Nana, but she was also overjoyed. She glanced at Nana, who was still floating in the air, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

Aerodactyl had caused them so much trouble, and if it could be eradicated, a little injury was a small price to pay!

The happiness wasn't limited to Nidoqueen—Joyan was just as elated.

Finally, she could completely relax from the tension that had gripped her. Yuga had truly brought her one surprise after another, and Nana's unexpected strength, even defeating such a formidable Nidoqueen, left her in awe.

Although the sparring hadn't reached a formal conclusion, in Joyan's eyes, Nana had already won.

She turned to Yuga, finding that despite his youth, the young man beside her had already begun to exhibit the charisma and composure of his master, Mr. Kuni'o.

Nana floated gently back to the ground, and Yuga quickly took out a bottle of Moomoo Milk from his spatial backpack to help her replenish her energy. He was very pleased with Nana's performance.

Celebi, by nature, wasn't a Pokémon suited for combat, and Nana had been the same during her time as a Celebi. However, as Nana's identity evolved, her mindset had also undergone significant changes.

Strong combat abilities provide unparalleled assurance! Nana had now fully embraced this understanding.

After finishing the Moomoo Milk, Nana's aura suddenly subsided, and Yuga immediately realized that Sasha had taken control of the body.

Influenced by Nana, Sasha's strength had grown formidable and was no weaker than most of Yuga's main Pokémon. However, there was still a noticeable gap between Sasha and Nana, something Yuga could easily distinguish.

Sasha's personality was completely different from Nana's. He was not only reticent but also carried a touch of coldness.

Handing the empty Moomoo Milk bottle back to Yuga, Sasha pointed at the Poké Ball on his belt. Yuga instantly understood that he wanted to return to the Poké Ball.

Unlike Nana, Sasha didn't mind being inside the Poké Ball.

Moreover, Sasha disliked being alone with Yuga. As a result, during most of his interactions with him, it was Nana who controlled the body.

It wasn't that Sasha still held any grudges against Yuga—it was simply that their personal energies didn't align well. Being alone together felt awkward and uncomfortable.

Joyan and Nidoqueen were immersed in their own joy, completely unaware of Nana's changes.

After recalling Sasha into the Poké Ball, Yuga walked over to Nidoqueen and asked, "Would you like me to heal you?"

Of course, it was needed! Nidoqueen nodded immediately.

Since it was just a sparring match and a test, Nana had precisely controlled the power of Future Sight. As a result, Nidoqueen's injuries weren't severe, and under Yuga's healing, they were completely cured in the blink of an eye.

Seeing Nidoqueen lively and vigorous again, the other members of the Nido family finally retracted their scorching gazes that seemed like they could burn Yuga to ashes.

After affirming Nana's strength, Nidoqueen invited Yuga to discuss the next steps together.

When they were invited into Nidoqueen's cave again, Yuga noticed that this time, not only was Nidoking present, but also the mother-daughter duo from the Kangaskhan family, both of whom were Champion-level Pokémon.

The Kangaskhan family was a vassal group of the Nido family. They had depended on each other for many years, to the point that they were practically indistinguishable as separate clans. Many members of the Nido family were children of the Kangaskhan clan, and similarly, many Kangaskhan were related by blood to the Nido family.

Yuga and Joyan stayed late in Nidoqueen's cave, discussing with Nidoqueen, Nidoking, and the Kangaskhan duo. Besides planning how to deal with Aerodactyl, Yuga also needed to understand the specifics of the Pokémon family that had aligned themselves with Aerodactyl.

If they were going to take action against Aerodactyl, there was no way those affiliated clans would stand idly by.

It wasn't until evening that Yuga and Joyan left the Nido family's territory.

This time, they planned to bring Joyha and the others back to the Nido family's territory. Since both sides had decided to work together, there was no safer place than the Nido family's stronghold.

Having traveled the route once before, Yuga and Joyan moved much faster on their return trip.

The two of them did not ride on Flying Pokémon—not only to avoid attracting Aerodactyl's attention but also because the ferocious wild Pokémon in the jungle posed enough danger on their own. Traveling by land was both safer and more secure.

By the time Yuga and Joyan returned to camp, it was completely dark. They had practically navigated their way back in the dark.

Although Yuga had sent Decidueye ahead with a message, Joyha and the others couldn't help but feel anxious when neither he nor Joyan had returned by nightfall. They hadn't even bothered with dinner.

At that moment, a fire burned brightly on the beach. Jonah, Joyin, and Ajay sat around the fire, while Joyha paced back and forth anxiously.

"The captain and Sister Joyan still haven't come back. Could they have run into danger?"

Joyin poked at the fire and said irritably, "Shut your crow's mouth. With how strong the captain and Sister Joyan are, even if something happened to you, they'd be fine."

"Hey… I'm just… just worried," Joyha said, stopping his pacing and squatting down beside Joyin.

"We might as well wait patiently. Worrying won't help anything," Arai sighed and said.

"Hey, do you guys hear something?" Ajay suddenly perked up his ears and asked.

The other three paused, instantly falling silent. Sure enough, they could hear a faint "buzzing" sound, distinct against the quiet backdrop of the seaside.

"Ah, I know! That's the sound Sister Joyan's Yanmega makes when it flies," Joyha suddenly said with excitement.

Sure enough, in the next moment, the group heard the voices of Yuga and Joyan.

"We're back!"

"We're back!"
