I'm the Villainess in the Apocalypse

Chapter 10: 10. Reunion

Anna could still her heart sting a bit when Jake was mentioned. But the pain was not as much as it was yesterday.

Perhaps, after busying herself to take care of her space and not thinking about him, she had slowly accepted this matter.

Besides, being cheated has already crossed the limit for her.

More than being hurt, she felt anger when his name was mentioned.

The love that accumulated for years was turning into anger and with time, it would slowly diminish to nothing.

Perhaps, she couldn't immediately forget about him, but she would never go back to him either. Time will help her to erase all trace of that man from her life.

"Don't talk about him. He's now with Betty. A b*stard with a b*tch is a perfect combination, isn't it?" Anna showed a smile on her face.

Compared to the day when these two suddenly threw the news to her face about the fact that they would be engaged, she was already much calmer.

Lucy saw Anna's expression and immediately threw herself to hug Anna. "My poor baby! I'll comfort you!"

"Get off!"

"No! I want to hug you until you feel better!"

"You better let me go before Mark is green with jealousy."

"He won't be jealous of a girl."

Anna: "…" are you sure?

She raised her head and saw Mark looking in their direction helplessly. In fact, Mark already knew that for some matters, Anna's position in Lucy's heart was higher than him. But he didn't mind since he knew that the two girls were good friends.

It was rare to have good friends that would stay with each other for so many years.

But the two of them would always side with each other no matter what happened.

He will not restrict his girlfriend from having her own private circle and life.

"Ladies, you're so loud early in the morning." Dylan opened the door and smiled at his noisy neighbor.

"It's Lucy!" Anna immediately threw the blame.

"Nonsense! At most, I only say a few more words." Lucy complained and then turned her head to look in Dylan's direction. "Why are you here, anyway?"

"I live here." Dylan raised his head proudly.

"Tsk, if only I was faster, I would have grabbed this apartment and be Anna's neighbor." Lucy gnashed her teeth.

Dylan sneered. "Mark will not allow that."

Turning her head to look at Mark, Lucy saw Mark nodding.

"Fine…." Lucy was defeated.

Anna laughed at their interaction. She felt as if she had returned to her childhood before they all picked their high school and went their separate ways. At that time, they would play together and made trouble in the community.

It was very lively.

Anna's nose moved a bit as she looked at Dylan's direction. "Are you cooking?"

"I have finished." Dylan looked at Anna with a smile. "Do you want to join me?"

"Can I?" Anna's eyes sparkled. After having to eat her miserable cooking skills or instant noodles, Anna honestly missed the time when she could eat better food. But since her father chose to disown her, she would never have the same status as before.

After this heavy storm passed, she would start to find job to support herself.

Some part time jobs should be good enough for the time being until she graduated from high school.

Sadly for Anna, she still has a semester left for high school.

Well, it was the same for the others too, though. They were all only 18 years old, still young and hadn't really experienced the bitter society.

"Wait, you can cook?" Lucy was more surprised because of another point.

Dylan laughed. "My grandfather tossed me out of the house when I started high school. If I can't cook, I won't be able to survive."

Lucy thought about Dylan's grandfather and looked at the man with a bit of pity. His grandfather was indeed very fierce. He also wanted his grandchildren to be independent and directly kicked Dylan out to fend for himself.

It could be said that other people's parents were kinder because they waited until the child turned adult before tossing them out. But Dylan's grandfather kicked him when he reached high school.

Well, it was truly one kind of education that shouldn't be replicated.

The teenage Dylan had to work part time to support himself. Thankfully, they still gave him this apartment to let him live or he would have to work much harder.

"Anyway, you can come if you want to." Dylan looked at Anna with a smile.

"Then I'll bother you." Anna was happy.

She didn't have to cook for lunch!

"Do you want to come too?" Dylan looked at Lucy.

"No, I have to take care of my diet and can't eat some food." Lucy shook her head. "The instructors are very fierce and if I dare to gain weight, they will definitely whip me off when I return later."

"I can't either." Mark shook his head.

Just like Lucy, he had to take care of his diet and the food intake was strictly controlled. It was impossible for him to eat just anything like other people.

"I'll have lunch first and then we talk again?" Anna asked to Lucy. She mainly wanted to talk with Lucy since it has been a while.

"Deal!"

"Ok."
