Chapter 30
Chapter 30 – Is Something Wrong?
After successfully completing my debut match, a pleasant sense of relaxation swept over me.
As they say, starting is half the battle.
With this, the Rogue Revival Movement could be considered halfway successful.
Feeling relaxed, I checked the results of the revival movement by logging into both Ark’s broadcast and my own simultaneously. Unsurprisingly, both chatrooms were in an uproar.
… Especially my own chatroom, which was in absolute chaos.
Various colorful messages filled the screen, but messages asking me to say something or to put the camera down were particularly frequent.
Right.
These viewers were the very targets of the Rogue Revival Movement, its activists and supporters. I had to respond diligently.
“Hello.”
『Wow, damn, finally』
『Aren’t Rogues great? Aren’t Rogues great? Aren’t Rogues great?』
『Do you know any other words?』
『Rogue is the best. Rogue is the best. Rogue is the best. Rogue is the best.』
“Did you enjoy it? Rogues are great, right?”
At my light greeting, 800 or so viewers flooded the chat in response.
It was already eye-straining to look at the chat in a broadcast with just 800 viewers without being in a game. How do the big broadcasters handle and manage such a chatroom?
While there were polite viewers who left a single comment, there were also malicious viewers spamming or using ASCII art.
What is happening to the world?
The thorny path laid before me felt daunting, but carrying the flag of the Rogue Revival Movement was a duty I had to bear.
“Yes. A lot of you have come. Did you all see the post I wrote on the KoK forum just a while ago?”
Thinking about it differently, it was something to be thankful for, having so many people participating. Numbers equal strength.
“Before we queue for the next game, how about everyone goes and gives it an upvote?”
『Crazy woman… Crazy woman… Crazy woman…』
『Why are you doing this, there must be a reason』
『Please lower your head, please lower your head, please lower your head』
『Hey, Kim! Queue up ~ Hey, Kim! Queue up ~ Hey, Kim! Queue up ~』

【Have you ever tried closing your eyes and looking at your belly button? They say it makes your stomach ticklish.】
While there weren’t many people responding positively in the chat, the numbers—specifically, the number of recommendations—didn’t lie.
Each time I refreshed, the recommendation count consistently increased by 4-5.
… Though the downvotes were also increasing by 2-3, at this rate, I wouldn’t have any trouble getting my post to the best list.
It’s true that the quiet majority’s opinion differs from the vocal minority in the chat.
After spending about five minutes refreshing the KoK forum every three seconds, the pace of recommendation counts began to accelerate.
It seems the rich get richer even with recommendations. As the recommendations and comments quickly increased, I found my post on the best list.
Nodding in satisfaction, I was about to reconnect to Ark’s broadcast when,
『Ark: Hey』
『Ark: Please』
『Ark: Can we resolve this through a conversation?』
『Ark: Hey?』
I noticed the delayed notification from the Discourse chat.
“Oh. It’s Ark. Do you need something?”
『Do you need a psychopath license to play a Rogue?』
『 Do you need something? Do you need something? Do you need something? Do you need something? Do you need something? Do you need something?』
『You are that something, you damn bastard』

There were definitely a lot of viewers watching Ark’s broadcast too. Yet no one was conveying why Ark was suddenly contacting me.
Maybe it’s because there are many broadcasters who ban trolls. But this kind of trolling is a good one, so it’s fine.
It’s probably because I haven’t built enough rapport with the viewers yet. Entering the Discourse chat room, I sent a message to Ark.
『CravingWarmAmericano: Hello』
『CravingWarmAmericano: Is there something you need?』
***
“No, ah.”
『LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOL Give it up, Ark』
『Tattooed big-breasted woman suspiciously obsessed with Ark』
『What do you mean “something”? LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL』
『Is she really that clueless?』
『It’s real. I went to her broadcast and escaped in less than a minute.』
Ark realized a beat too late what the phrase “I have apologized to the person involved” posted on Yena’s broadcast meant.
And with that realization, what slowly seeped in was fear. Ark had seen Yena snipe countless times, but she couldn’t remember a single instance where she showed even the smallest hint of guilt.
Not even once.
If Yena was going as far as apologizing beforehand, Ark couldn’t even begin to guess what she was planning— and that terrified her.
True fear indeed comes from the unknown. Sure, they had won the game just moments ago. Objectively, thanks to the Rogue’s carry.
With the Priest continually picked off, both teams lacked sustain, and with his team having three Holy Knights who could self-heal to some extent, they gained a composition advantage.
The Rogue’s movements continuously disrupted the enemy team’s positioning, causing internal confusion and disarray.
Exploiting those moments, they gained small advantages, which led to an easy victory through divide and conquer in the final decisive fight—if they had to pick the MVP, it was undoubtedly GetDevoured’s Rogue.
Ark knew this. As a Master-ranked Mage, she was well aware of the flow of the game. But it wasn’t merely about one match’s win or loss.
If Yena had gone out of her way to target the Priest eight times this game, what guarantee was there that she wouldn’t target him, a Mage, eight times next match?
It was possible, that the relentless harassment of the Priest was just a dry run for something even worse.
The thought alone was horrifying. Endlessly spawning and dying without ever rejoining the main force, like the Priest— repeatedly seeing the gray screen, getting a few steps before dying again.
The inevitable mockery in the chat throughout the match.
If he could pull off a few impactful plays and interesting moments with around 5-6 deaths, it’d be tolerable for the broadcast. But if he kept dying without context…
Imagining this dire future, Ark sighed and spoke.
『Ark: You’re going to snipe me, right』
『CravingWarmAmericano: Yes』
『So damn straightforward, lOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL 』
『No intention of hiding it anymore』
『Ark: Why are you doing this to me』
『Ark: There are so many broadcasters out there』
『Ark: I’m really on edge, you know that』
Indeed, Ark had recently been feeling extremely anxious about her MMR. Following the last game’s win, her current score was Master 7 points.
Going from 2 points to 7 with just one win implied that her current MMR was perilously close to Diamond.
While the viewers might enjoy watching her get demoted to Diamond once, who’s to say it’ll be just ‘once’?
Ark’s skill level was always borderline top-tier Diamond, and achieving Master rank needed a fair bit of luck.
One demotion, and considering how sniping would proliferate even more towards the end of the season, the chances of her climbing back to Master in just six weeks were slim, and no one knew that better than her.
And ending the season in Diamond would be an insurmountable stain after all the “Mah~”,
“Everyone, please stand up”, and “Oh, the smell of minerals”, embellishments she had piled up to spice up her broadcast.
『CravingWarmAmericano: Ah』
『CravingWarmAmericano: I couldn’t apologize to other people in advance』
『LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL Oh, that apology』
『Apology (Indulgence Purchase)』
『This is why laws exist, Ark』
『The end of the one who settled things with an apology』
『But it’s not over, damn itLOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOL 』
Among the laughter and mockery flooding the chat, Ark’s mind began racing so fast it was almost overheating.
Focused on drawing the best outcome from limited options, the swiftly assessed situation in her mind boiled down to this:
One, when Yena isn’t willing to talk, it’s like talking to a brick wall.
Two, having already apologized, Yena would now fully enjoy the benefits of that apology.
Three, since her recent promotion match, Yena’s skill inexplicably surged as if she had undergone some sort of awakening.
Remarkable clarity led to an analytical solution,
『Ark: GetDevoured-nim』
『CravingWarmAmericano: Yes』
『Ark: How about we duo? We’ll end it if we lose one game』
The optimal decision was made.
TL’s Corner:
Ark trying not to get sniped by MC.
