Chapter 89: Chapter 88

Haruka arrives back at the craft where Hila, Mera, and Atlanna are waiting. Mera asked, "Did you find where Arthur is?"

Haruka nods solemnly. "I did. He's trapped deep in the prison cells on the island. But I can't get him out without causing a scene. The place is heavily guarded, and breaking in forcefully would only put Arthur in more danger."

Hila's brow furrows with concern. "Then what do we do? We can't just leave him there." She casts a worried glance towards the ominous island in the distance.

Atlanna turned to Haruka, her expression resolute. "Mera, Hila, and I will create a distraction while you rescue Arthur." She could see the concern etched on Haruka's face.

"But the island is heavily guarded. Are you sure you'll be alright?" Haruka asked, his brow furrowed.

Atlanna's lips curved into a confident smile. "Mera and Hila are two of the most formidable fighters in Atlantis. And I've had my fair share of battles as well." She placed a reassuring hand on Haruka's shoulder. "We'll draw the Manta Men's attention, giving you the chance to get Arthur to safety."

Haruka nodded, his expression still uncertain, but he knew they had no other choice. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the task ahead.

"I don't like the idea of you all putting yourselves at risk," Haruka said, his brow still creased with worry. "But I know Aquaman needs to be rescued. Just... please be careful out there."

Atlanna places a comforting hand on Haruka's shoulder. "We will. Now go, time is of the essence." She turns to Mera and Hila, ready to set their plan in motion.

Trusting their capabilities, Haruka agrees, and they set the plan into action. He takes a deep breath, steeling his nerves as he prepares to infiltrate the heavily guarded prison and rescue the King of Atlantis.

Two Manta Men stand on the shore, discussing recent events.

"Did you watch the game yesterday?" one of them asks.

"No, I was busy going through inventory," the other replies.

"When do you think we'll get off of this island?" the first Manta Man wonders aloud.

"Who knows, Boss says Atlantis is in turmoil right now. We'll probably be busy soon," the second Manta Man responds.

Suddenly, the water in front of them begins to churn and move. Before the Manta Men can react, they are slammed by a powerful wave. Emerging from the sea, Hila, Mera, and Atlanna stride onto the shore, their presence commanding attention.

The Manta Men on the shore are caught off guard as Hila, Mera, and Atlanna emerge from the sea. One of them quickly raises a radio to his mouth.

"Intruders on the island! We need backup, now!" he shouts into the device.

Within moments, more Manta Men arrive, brandishing their advanced weaponry. Hila steps forward, her eyes narrowing.

"You will return King Arthur to us," she demands, her voice laced with authority.

The Manta Men hesitate, taken aback by the Atlantean queen's commanding presence. One of them scoffs.

"The boss wants the king to stay put. You're not taking him anywhere."

Mera raises her hand, conjuring a swirling torrent of water. "Then you leave us no choice."

The Manta Men open fire, but Atlanna leaps into the fray, deflecting the blasts with her trident. Hila and Mera join the fray, their hydrokinetic powers clashing against the Manta Men's advanced weaponry.

"Surrender now, and we may spare you," Hila warns, her voice unwavering.

The Manta Men continue their assault, unwilling to back down. Atlanna roars, her trident glowing with power as she unleashes a powerful wave, sweeping several Manta Men off their feet.

Mera traps a group of the soldiers in a sphere of water, while Hila lashes out with water whips, disarming and incapacitating her foes. The battle rages on, the clash of powers echoing across the shore.

Meanwhile, in the Mirror World, Haruka stood before the door where Aquaman was held captive. Two guards stood watch, their eyes vigilant.

"Do you think we should go help them?" one guard asked, his brow furrowed with uncertainty.

The other guard shook his head firmly. "No, our orders are to guard this door and not let Aquaman escape." His tone left no room for discussion.

Haruka exited the Mirror World, his expression focused and determined. With swift precision, he launched himself at the two guards, catching them off guard. A flurry of strikes and expertly placed blows left the guards unconscious on the ground. Haruka surveyed the scene, his eyes narrowing as he considered his next move.

Haruka opened the door to Aquaman's cell, revealing the battered king chained and weakened. Aquaman looked thin, with bleeding wounds that did not appear fatal, but concerning nonetheless.

"Are you alright?" Haruka asked, his voice laced with concern as he approached the imprisoned hero.

Aquaman lifted his head, recognition dawning in his eyes. "Kamen Rider?" he rasped. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to rescue you," Haruka replied, his tone resolute. "Hila, Mera, and Atlanna are with me. We've come to get you out of here."

Haruka cuts the chains around Aquaman and carries Aquaman by the shoulder. They leave the cell, and Aquaman asks where Mera is.

Aquaman grimaced as Haruka helped him to his feet. "Mera? Where is she?" he asked, his voice hoarse.

Haruka steadied Aquaman, supporting his weight. "Mera is with Hila and Atlanna," he replied. "They're causing a distraction outside to help us escape."

Aquaman's eyes widened. "Atlanna? My mother is here?" He tried to move faster, but Haruka held him back.

"Easy, your majesty," Haruka said. "We need to get you out of here first. Your family is waiting for you."

Aquaman nodded, gritting his teeth against the pain. "Then let's not keep them waiting."

The two men made their way through the dimly lit corridor, Haruka guiding Aquaman's steps. As they neared the exit, the sounds of battle grew louder, the clashing of powers echoing through the halls.

Haruka and the weakened Aquaman emerged from the prison, only to be greeted by a swarm of Manta Men converging on their position.

"We've got company," Haruka said, his eyes narrowing behind his Abyss helmet.

Aquaman clenched his fists, the determination in his gaze overriding his physical exhaustion. "I can still fight," he growled. "I won't be a burden."

The Manta Men opened fire, their advanced weaponry sending a hail of energy blasts towards the duo. Haruka leaped into action, his Abyss Sabers deflecting the projectiles with precision. Aquaman, despite his injuries, joined the fray, his bare hands moving with fluid grace as he parried the attacks.

The two heroes fought back-to-back, Haruka's technological prowess complementing Aquaman's raw, unbridled strength. Aquaman's fists collided with the Manta Men's armor, shattering their defenses with each powerful strike. Haruka's blades sliced through the enemy's weapons, rendering them helpless against the Atlantean king's onslaught.

As the battle raged on, Aquaman's movements became more erratic, the toll of his captivity weighing heavily on him.

Haruka inserts the Advent Card into the Abyssvisor.

With a flash of light, Abysslasher and Abysshammer materialize beside Haruka, the two powerful Contract Monsters ready to assist in the battle. The shark-like creatures let out a deafening roar, their presence commanding the attention of the Manta Men.

"Aquaman, you need to get to the water," Haruka says, his voice laced with concern as he glances at the weakened king. "Let us handle these goons."

Aquaman nods, his eyes burning with determination despite his battered state. "I can still fight," he insists, but Haruka raises a hand to stop him.

"You need to regain your strength," Haruka replies. "We'll hold them off."

Abysslasher and Abysshammer surge forward, their razor-sharp blades and powerful jaws tearing through the Manta Men's defenses. Haruka joins the fray, his Abyss Sabers clashing against the enemy's advanced weaponry.

Aquaman watches the battle unfold, his gaze shifting to the nearby harbor, where the calm waters beckon. With a grunt of effort, he breaks into a sprint, his movements sluggish but driven by sheer determination.

Haruka notices Aquaman's retreat and nods approvingly. "Go, your majesty!" he calls out, his focus remaining on the Manta Men.

Aquaman reaches the edge of the harbor and, without hesitation, hurls himself into the water. The familiar embrace of the sea instantly revitalizes him, and he can feel his strength returning.

Haruka, seeing Aquaman safely in the water, redoubles his efforts, his Contract Monsters working in tandem to overwhelm the Manta Men. The battle rages on, the sound of clashing metal and the roars of the Mirror Monsters echoing across the shore.
