Ch 82
Chapter 82 Proposal
The internal strife among the dragon clan that shook the entire Dragon Palace City came to a calm end in a way that astonished everyone.
Once again, the leaders of the overwhelmingly powerful dragon clan demonstrated their rising dominance among the tribes. Along with the news of the return of the divine child, it spread to every corner of the world, bringing tears of relief to those struggling in hardship.
But one of the objects of everyone’s admiration, the little snake sub-beast, was not happy.
Since gaining legs, the little snake sub-beast reverted to the form of a snake tail for the first time.
Oh, now it couldn’t even be called a snake tail.
On the originally smooth tail, dragon fins unique to dragons began to grow. The round tip of the tail also opened up into the shape of a fin.
The little snake sub-beast stared at his tail for a long time, feeling aggrieved as he curled it up and held it in his arms. He rested his chin on the tail and poked at a snake plush toy he had grabbed.
Wuu. How can you not be a snake? Ye Zi said he likes snakes the most. The dishes and utensils at home are snakes, the stickers and dolls are snakes…
The little snake sub-beast pressed the plush toy’s belly in frustration. The chubby plush toy was poked with dents and lay on the bedside, looking up with big innocent eyes at the little snake sub-beast.
Little snake sub-beast: QaQ
“Nuo Nuo? What’s wrong?” Ye Ze walked in and saw the little snake sub-beast squatting in the corner of the bed, then looked at the tail that had reverted back to its original form. He walked over and sat next to the little snake sub-beast.
The tip of the little snake sub-beast’s tail curled up, pushing the snake plush toy away. Far away.
He snuggled into Ye Ze’s arms, tilting his head up to kiss Ye Ze’s chin.
“The toy bullies me,” the little snake sub-beast pouted unreasonably.
Ye Ze couldn’t help but smile. He hugged the little snake sub-beast who had come to him on his own initiative and deliberately asked following the little snake sub-beast’s words, “How did the toy bully Nuo Nuo?”
The little snake sub-beast snuggled in Ye Ze’s arms. With a sulky expression, he didn’t speak.
He felt sure that Ye Zi had already guessed.
But still, he wanted him to say it himself.
Bad!
The little snake sub-beast pinched Ye Ze’s shirt on the chest and tugged at it, “Nuo Nuo is not a snake now. Will Ye Zi not like Nuo Nuo anymore?”
“Pfft.” Ye Ze couldn’t help but laugh. He rubbed the magical little head of the little snake sub-beast, “Why does Nuo Nuo think like this?”
“Because, Ye Zi said he likes snakes the most…”
The laughter in Ye Ze’s eyes deepened. He leaned down and stuck close to the little snake sub-beast, “Then I don’t like snakes anymore. Now I like dragons the most.”
The little snake sub-beast looked at Ye Ze.
In his eyes, as always, there was only the reflection of him alone.
Ye Ze loved the way the little snake sub-beast looked at him. Somewhat innocent, yet full of dependence, as if the whole world revolved around him.
So he turned his head and kissed the little snake sub-beast’s eyes again.
“Why does Nuo Nuo worry about these things? For me, whatever Nuo Nuo looks like, I will like it. Whether it’s a snake, a little dragon, or rabbits, cats, and dogs, I will like them all.”
The kisses trailed from the long eyelashes all the way to the lips. Deeply.
This was their first deep kiss.
“I only like Nuo Nuo. Nuo Nuo should trust me more.”
The little snake sub-beast’s cheeks flushed as he gasped for breath against Ye Ze’s chest, too embarrassed to lift his head to look at him. The tip of his tail turned pink, curling up as he tried to retreat.
But hindered by the growth of the tail fin, his attempt to hide was not very successful.
Just like the blush on the little snake sub-beast’s face was lifted from his chest by Ye Ze’s fingers.
The little snake sub-beast was forced to tilt his head back.
Instead of Ye Ze’s face, a soft thing appeared in front of the little snake sub-beast.
A cute dragon plush toy, held by Ye Ze. The plush toy’s fuzzy snout approached the little snake sub-beast’s cheek, pecking gently.
“I am the excellent Little sub-beast Nuo Nuo in the world, and I am the newly arrived Dragon Plush Toy. After me, there will be brand new Dragon Cups and Dragon Bowls moving into our home, along with the snake ornaments to record Nuo Nuo’s growth. I wonder if Nuo Nuo is willing to accept us and give us a complete home?”
The plush toy swayed along with Ye Ze’s movements. Finally, it settled in front of the little snake sub-beast, closing its small paws on its chest, holding a shiny ring.
The little snake sub-beast was coaxed until the background turned into a fluttering of little pink flowers. When he saw the ring, he paused, then tilted his head slightly to the right in confusion.
Hmm. Why does this ring look so familiar?
But Ye Zi’s engagement ring for Nuo Nuo is still here, huh?
The little snake sub-beast touched his suddenly empty fingers. When he turned his head to glare at Ye Ze, he found himself immersed in a deep and beautiful sea of tenderness.
“Nuo Nuo, have you made up your mind?” Ye Ze asked him with a smile.
He’s really too silly, too foolish. Ye Zi had no right to complain about him being so drowsy.
The little doll in his heart hummed, but the master quickly changed sides, swiftly reaching out to nestle the ring back into his palm, treasuring it carefully.
As long as it’s Ye Zi, of course, he’s willing.
The newly crowned Dragon Steamed Bun grabbed the ring forcefully, but his answer was shy and hesitant. After a long while, he finally squeezed out the response Ye Ze had been waiting for.
“Nuo Nuo has made up his mind,” the newly-adult dragon cub plucked up the courage to meet Ye Ze’s eyes as he replied, “Nuo Nuo is willing!”
Ye Ze smiled.
Once again, he embraced the little snake sub-beast.
“I will give Nuo Nuo the grandest, most beautiful wedding.”
Of course, they will also have the happiest, most joyful life.
“But, wait a minute, although I just returned to the Dragon Palace City, I’ve been following Nuo Nuo’s itinerary all the way.” Their little one had just been with them for a few days, “Why suddenly want to get engaged?”
Just after dealing with the matter of the dragon tribe traitors, Nuo Yan was completely stunned by such “good news” from An Jue and Nuo Fei. To the point that the captain of the law inspection team, who was rumored to be able to stop a child from crying at night, now looked somewhat softened and innocent.
“Why do you think you suddenly got so many clues?” Nuo Fei rolled her eyes at him, feeling a bit irritable, “The reason you were able to come all the way to the Dragon Palace City is because Ye Ze brought him out. If not with Ye Ze, then with whom?”
With Ye Ze’s protective instincts, if anyone dared to have any ideas, even if he hadn’t been with the little snake sub-beast yet, he would have been found out by Ye Ze and dealt with.
An Jue, maintaining his usual quiet demeanor, sympathetically patted Nuo Yan on the shoulder.
Nuo Yan: “…”
Does he need comfort now? What he needs now is their little one!
“No! Even if we can’t raise a cub, can Ye Ze, who has just settled in the Dragon Palace City, and has a young sub-beast waiting for development behind his back, really organize a decent wedding for Nuo Nuo? I have to go and help, I can’t let him just muddle through!”
Nuo Yan was steaming like a boiling kettle as he stormed out the door to connect with the little snake sub-beast.
“Hey, didn’t you tell him about Ye Ze’s situation?” An Jue couldn’t help but ask.
An Jue fell silent for a moment, “I thought he had seen Ye Ze’s strength and should understand it somewhat.”
Who knew this guy would be so foolish as to decide to teach Ye Ze a lesson like he was a poor kid.
“But, although Ye Ze has many strange things on hand, he knows little about the customs and manners of the Dragon Palace City. It might be good to let Nuo Yan say a few words.” In reality, he wasn’t feeling too good about it either.
After all, the title of Divine Child had just been announced. Now, the Divine Child wasn’t even a dragon.
“Hmph. I knew you were two-faced.”
Nuo Fei snorted coldly. She had to admit, An Jue made some sense, “I’ll go back and take care of the inventory. Even if Ye Ze, a ‘needy’ beastman, can produce so many goods, our grand imperial family absolutely cannot fall behind!”
An Jue watched Nuo Fei walk away with measured steps, rubbing the storage ring on his finger thoughtfully.
He hadn’t brought any joy to the first half of the cub’s life. He hoped that in the second half of the journey, the cub would walk more smoothly and freely than he did.
“As for the elders who want to invite the Divine Child back to the temple, you should go and persuade them too. Don’t let them spoil the festive day.”
Behind An Jue, an area that was originally empty suddenly underwent violent distortion. Then it returned to calm, disappearing without a trace.
An Jue nodded silently and walked towards his private warehouse.
He also needed to prepare a gift for Nuo Nuo.
