Chapter 393: Kiss Death

"Not even one could kill you—what can you possibly do against so many of us?"

Each woman wore the same seductive smile, charging toward Zane in unison.

Seeing this, Zane let out a cold snort. He had long mastered the art of dealing with these clone swarm tactics.

Without hesitation, his eyes flashed with the spiraling red triangles of the [Mangekyō Sharingan].

Boom!

A massive black skeletal tengu suddenly descended from the sky.

It encased Zane like an exosuit bursting with battle intent.

Zane hovered within the tengu's heart, the red triangles in his eyes glinting coldly as he regarded the endless wave of women rushing toward him like lifeless objects.

"Heehee... Is it that hideous black shell again?"

The women spoke in unison:

"We're not here to attack you. We just want to hug and kiss you. Do you think that shell can stop us?"

The lead "Death" woman suddenly leapt forward and slipped through the black skeletal frame of the tengu.

She launched herself directly at Zane.

Caught off guard, Zane's eyes narrowed, unleashing a wisp of Amaterasu black flames.

Like an arrow loosed from a bow, the flames pierced the woman, burning her into a heap of blackened ash.

"How about now? Can you still get in?" Zane said sharply.

As his words fell, thick black flames erupted all over the tengu's skeleton.

[Mangekyō Sharingan: Kagutsuchi – Amaterasu Cascade!]

Instantly, the "Death" women rushing forward turned to ash the moment they touched the tengu's black flames.

Yet, the horde remained undeterred.

Wave after wave continued to charge Zane, their sheer numbers forcing him into a frantic defense. Despite his efforts, the occasional "Death" woman managed to slip through, climbing over the charred remains of her predecessors.

Slap!

Zane's eyes flared red, and with a swift strike, he cut down a woman who had slipped through and tried to embrace him.

"Heehee... I'm right behind you."

A sultry voice suddenly whispered from behind him.

Just as Zane turned his head, he noticed the "Death" woman he had just killed had already revived on the spot.

With a swift motion, she leapt into his arms and clung to him tightly.

In an instant, Zane found himself immobilized.

"Heehee... I am, after all, the eight-dimensional omnipotent Goddess of Death in this universe..."

"Draining all the energy from your body in an instant? That's well within my power."

As she spoke, the woman closed her eyes and leaned toward Zane's face.

"Enjoy my final Kiss of Death…"

"The moment our lips meet, it will activate the death energy hidden in my seed. It will link to your divine essence and make the godhood atop your head completely mine..."

Boom!

Zane's head buzzed as he felt a dark, chilling energy surge into his mouth, clawing its way toward the depths of his mind.

But just then, the alluring form of the "Death" woman suddenly froze, her face contorting in shock. Her tightly shut eyes snapped open.

Her wide eyes stared at Zane in disbelief as she exclaimed:

"Where is your... divine essence?!"

Zane grinned and replied, "Heh, your kiss is delicious…"

When Death kissed Zane, the enormous skeletal tengu and the black Amaterasu flames erupting from it vanished instantly.

The blood-red triangular patterns in Zane's pupils also extinguished in a flash.

The voluptuous and seductive Death wrapped her arms and legs tightly around Zane's broad frame.

Her dusky, exposed skin, along with her full, heaving chest, pressed firmly against him.

Their intertwined bodies floated in midair, presenting a strangely intimate yet perilous sight.

A trace of Death's energy seeped from her soft, fragrant lips, passed through Zane's lips, and shot directly toward the depths of his mind.

Yet she discovered that the object she sought was not there.

The spot where a gleaming, jet-black "walnut-shaped" divine core should have stood was utterly empty.

Instead, the only sounds were the soft trickling of cerebral currents and the crackling neural activity as brainwaves sparked and intertwined across the gray matter.

The invading thread of Death's power, unable to find its target, resembled a sperm without an egg—incapable of forming new life.

It perished upon contact.

Having lost its purpose, the energy wavered like a helium balloon cut loose, only to be obliterated moments later by a pulse of Zane's reawakened energy.

At the same time:

"Did you really think I'd be foolish enough to leave such an obvious weakness unguarded?"

Zane's eyes reignited, the blood-red spiraling triangles spinning once more.

"Clinging to me so tightly—are you not afraid of my ocular genjutsu?"

"Or did you think that, by kissing me, you'd already turned me into one of your subjugated souls?"

"Too bad… you miscalculated again."

Boom!

[Mangekyō Sharingan: Tsukuyomi!]

As Death attempted to break free from Zane, she realized she was completely immobilized.

Her own eyes now reflected the same spinning pattern as his.

Just as before in the prime universe, merely touching Zane's body had ensnared her in his damnable illusion.

A bleak and eerie space enveloped her.

Suspended high in the constricted space was a ceaselessly rotating blood-red eye.

In this oppressive void, Death, her once-glorious form now battered, had blood trickling from the corner of her lips and her gaze dim and lifeless.

Her nimble body was bound, hands and feet tied tightly with coarse ropes to a wooden crucifix.

Her exposed flesh was pierced relentlessly by sharp flying daggers, one after another.

Each strike felt as though it stabbed into a nonexistent "core" within her—a phantom pain so excruciating that even her form, devoid of human organs, could not endure it.

Yet this time, the torment seemed slightly milder than before.

In her previous imprisonment here, she had tried every conceivable means of escape.

But in this accursed dimension, no energy could be summoned.

It was even more absolute than her Domain of Absolute Zero.

Everything here seemed tailored specifically to neutralize her, leaving that man as the sole, absolute ruler.

In this domain, he could do anything he pleased, free from the constraints of rules or physical laws.

"Welcome back to my Tsukuyomi illusion."

"This time, I'll learn from experience and take it easy on you. I won't let you die too quickly."

At that moment, the man appeared in the dim, narrow space, bringing a faint glimmer of light that illuminated her weary eyes.

Death weakly lifted her head to gaze at Zane, confusion flickering in her expression as she asked:

"How... how did you do it?"
