Chapter 33: 32. The Battle Of Asgard I
As Jerry left to prepare for the upcoming battle in his mothership, Wanda was idly taking a tour of the royal palace of Asgard.
The palace was huge and had tonnes of attractions to see at every corner, she was taught about the history of Asgard by Jerry, so she knew where all this gold came from. But she appreciated the beauty nonetheless.
Today has been a more exciting day than most. At the very least she has taken in more natural air than in Mars. Wait... Wasn't she practically a Martian now? She has been living there for about a year!
But still, she could only enjoy walking around for so much. Bored, she called Jerry through the earpiece.
"Yeah? Anything important?" Jerry answered.
"Nope, was just feeling a bit bored." Wanda snorted, "What're you doing?"
"Checking on the Necroships. What about you?" Jerry replied.
"Nothing really, just on stroll. So, how are you feeling? Being so close to your goal, getting a new body?"
"Happy, of course. But I still am a bit unsure whether the method I'm thinking of will work or not..."
"Don't worry everything will turn out just fine." Wanda smiled. "Have thought about what you're gonna do after obtaining the new body you're so obsessed about?"
"Yeah, every single day..." Jerry took a brief pause, before chuckling a bit. "Well, after fulfilling my end of the deal with you two, I'll probably roam around the universe picking up every attractive woman I come across, surely my handsome and powerful body would be able to pull any female in the universe. Hahaha~"
Wanda rolled her eyes and dropped the call. She felt a bit frustrated at the end. 'He really just thinks that a handsome body is all a girl wants!'
Anyway, walking around a bit more, she walked into Jane, Thor, and Frigga. Thor introduced Wanda as simply Jane's friend.
Jerry had told her to "coincidentally" find them later, but she didn't truly expect to find them by coincidence. That's why she was planning to use her wrist terminal to find Jane later, but it looked like it wouldn't be needed.
As their small talk continued, they heard sirens howling.
"The prisons," Frigga told.
"—Loki..." Thor concluded.
"Go, I'll look after them," Frigga assured Thor to fulfill his duty without worrying about his lover and his lover's friend's safety.
Thor nodded, rushing towards the edge of the balcony, just as he jumped off after removing his clock, his trusty companion, the Mjolnir came to him. Thor caught it in the air and let Mjolnir's momentum carry him to the prisons.
Frigga led both ladies to the inner palace where they encountered Odin giving off orders to the Asgardian soldiers.
"Odin," She called out.
"Frigga."
"It's a skirmish. Nothing to fear." Odin reassured her with a confident smile.
"You have never been a good liar." Frigga smiled.
Wanda noticed a female warrior staring at Jane as she marched off with the other soldiers. Jane also gave her a look of recognition. But Wanda could sense mild jealousy from the female warrior.
"Take them to your chambers, I'll come to you when it's safe," Odin said.
"You take care."
"Despite all I have survived," Odin cupped Frigga's cheek, "My queen still worries over me."
"It's only because I worry over you that you have survived." Frigga retorted then left for her private chambers.
As they walked, Frigga seized a sword from a soldier and sternly told the girls to do everything that she asked of them without question.
Wanda said that she could help too but Frigga firmly said that they were her responsibility and that she wouldn't even tolerate a scratch on them.
Wanda didn't push further and just nodded, she also sneakily pressed a button on her bracelet.
Frigga locked the girls in a chamber and enchanted a protection barrier magic on the door.
When Frigga left, Wanda checked the door. "It's locked."
"What should we do? I'm really worried about her." Jane said with a concern-laden voice.
"Don't worry..." Wanda said, swirling a crimson energy around her fingers.
"You have powers?" Jane asked, wide-eyed.

As Heimdall was keeping watch in the Bifrost operation chamber, he barely sensed an unfamiliar presence.
Realization of an invasion instantly dawned on him and he rushed towards the presence, he climbed on one of the pillars of the bridge and shoved his dagger into the invisible vessel.
The vessel, the Dark Elves' warship, exploded upon his attack. Before Heimdall could even collect his bearings, he saw Malekith's mothership, a menacing dark vessel, ascending in the skies above Asgard, casting an ominous shadow over the majestic rainbow bridge.
'So, this is what he was talking about...'
As multiple smaller ships charged towards the main Asgard, Heimdall could only watch in frustration of not being able to spot the enemy before it was too late.
Without wasting more time, he rushed towards the Bifrost's chamber. With his sword, he activated the cosmic field of the royal palace. That was all he could do as the guardian of Asgard.
The attack was sudden and brutal, Asgard's defense force was alerted and they charged with full force to defend their motherland. However, due to the unexpectedness of the attack and the distractions in the prison, they were being pushed against the walls.
But then something unexpected happened. Roars of weird creatures were heard...
Small and agile chariots entered the battlefield. Along with them danced hundreds of Necro ships with formidable blasters.
'The Chittauri...? Who...? Son of Ander...', Heimdall felt a little glad as he observed the state of Asgard from the Bifrost through his all-seeing eyes.
The words of the self-proclaimed beneficiary turned out to be true. In fact, a little too accurate. What was the source of information of that creature, Heimdall wondered.

As the battle of the spaceship continued, a certain craft of the Dark Elves was able to pass through the combined defense of Jerry's and Odin's armies.
It was as if it was purposefully let free...
The force field barrier around the royal palace was taken down by Malekith's right-hand man, Kurse, who had infiltrated as a prisoner a few hours ago.
Taking this chance, the Dark Elves' craft crashed-entered the towering palace.
The exceptionally strong build of the Dark Evles's craft allowed it to enter without exploding making the infiltration of the Dark Elves into the royal palace of Asgard successful.
The Dark Elves easily overwhelmed the Asgardian soldiers and then Malekith exited the ship.
Vexed by seeing the throne of the king that destroyed their civilization, he dropped a miniature black hole grenade, demolishing the Asgardian Throne.
Malekith could sense the presence of Aether as such it didn't take him long to find the chamber in which Frigga was present with a fake Jane, who was exactly like the original down to the last single detail. Even emitted the same gamma radiation of Aether as the real one did, utterly fooling Malekith.
"Stand down, creature. And you may still survive this." Frigga warned the Dark Elf king.
"I have survived worse, woman." Malekith scoffed and ignored Frigga, "And I'll have what's mine."
As he made his way towards fake Jane, he was attacked in the face with a short sword by the woman he just looked down upon.
Malekith retaliated but against Frigga's endless assaults, he was forced to back away and defend. But just when he was cornered. His right-hand man, Kurse, grabbed Frigga's neck.
It was Frigga's turn to be cornered. But before Malekith could enjoy his victory any further, a crimson aura pushed both Malekith and Kurse away.
Wanda entered the chamber from the balcony. With a powerful grunt, she again used her powers to restrain the two most powerful individuals of the remaining Dark Elves species.
Malekith was easily pushed down but Kurse was somehow enduring and even wading through the powerful telekinetic force.
The overpowered and bulky dark elf who had transformed himself into something inhuman and ungodly was wading his way toward Wanda to put her down.
But Wanda was relentless too, she used her other hand to summon more energy, and hurled it towards the giant.
Kurse who was barely wading through couldn't handle this much power and was thrown back into the wall.
Overpowering Kurse was no small feat. Jerry wouldn't have been able to do it with his telekinetic output. After all, Kurse was able to beat Thor in a battle of strength.
Frigga was pleasantly surprised, with a smile, she said, "I should have accepted your help earlier."
As Malekith and Kurse gathered their bearings the ladies also readied themselves.
And that's when Jerry arrived.
When Wanda noticed him, her demeanor relaxed, "You're late. Quite a bit at that." She said with a smile.
