Chapter 115: Marvel Scientist Becomes God, Ch 74.1
"That was so fast!" Ye Hai exclaimed with envy. With Ye Hai's keen eyesight, he couldn't even detect how the person had left; such speed was truly remarkable.
Ye Hai returned to the Mutant Academy and walked into Professor X's office, where the professor was waiting for him.
The professor said gently, "Ye, has Magneto approved our plan?"
"Yes, he won't refuse. He even took a regenerative gene from me in exchange for Little Rogue," Ye Hai replied.
"It seems Magneto has noticed too," the professor said worriedly. "Ye, your genetic technology is too extraordinary. Once it is discovered, various organizations and countries will come rushing for it. Are you prepared for that?"
Ye Hai hesitated for a moment and said, "I need to build an army of mutants."
He looked at the professor, hoping to gain some insight or encouragement from this wise elder, but the professor disappointed him; he was not a revolutionary.
The professor shook his head and said, "That will only lead you into an endless cycle of war. You will lose many friends and loved ones; this is not what you want to see, is it?"
"Yes, I do not want to witness such a painful price," Ye Hai replied with a slight smile. "Therefore, we still need allies."
"Allies?" The professor paused slightly and asked, "Who do you envision as our allies?"
Ye Hai grinned and said, "Of course, it would be national leaders and elite figures from politics and business..."
The professor's expression changed suddenly as he realized, "Ye, you want Magneto to succeed in his plan at the summit meeting?"
"Yes. But don't worry, professor," Ye Hai waved his hand dismissively. "Magneto's mutant machine can only turn those carrying the X-gene into mutants, and most people on Earth do not carry the X-gene. Therefore, Magneto's machine will only be able to create a small number of mutants at the summit, depending on luck. Such a low number may not seem powerful, but it will make those national leaders realize that they or their loved ones could potentially become mutants. This will prompt them to reconsider their policies against mutants!"
The professor thought for a moment and smiled. "Ye, your strategy is quite good. You already possess the qualities of a leader." He recognized Ye Hai's potential and had been consciously nurturing him to become a leader among mutants.
"But…" Ye Hai smiled and said, "We still need to stop Magneto's actions and show the public our goodwill. This is our performance, haha!"
"You are right," the professor nodded in approval, his face still radiating warmth. This wise elder seemingly saw through Ye Hai's strategies and ideas.
One thing Ye Hai hadn't mentioned was that the summit would have a significant scale, with many American officials and elites from various industries in attendance. During this time, many political and business elites in the U.S. would be exposed to the radiation from Magneto's machine. Regardless of whether they became mutants or not, Ye Hai would use a drug to turn them into mutants. He would hide within this scheme while Magneto would take the blame, facing the resentment of the elites.
