Chapter 107: Surprise Substitute
The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden hue over U.A. High School. Inside, the atmosphere was thick with uncertainty and anticipation. The pro heroes—Hawks, All Might, Midnight, Vlad King, Endeavor, and Present Mic—had gathered in a stuffy conference room, faces taut with concern.
"I can't believe we lost that bet," Hawks sighed, flicking his wings nervously. "How do we let Aizawa leave for months and not have a plan ready?"
"Simple, we underestimated Class 1-A," Endeavor grumbled, crossing his arms. "And we certainly underestimated their ability to create absolute chaos."
"But who's going to watch them now?" Present Mic asked, his voice a mix of concern and excitement. "All of us have already taken turns—and the others are out on missions."
As they tossed around ideas, Principal Nezu entered the room, a calm smile on his face. "I wouldn't worry about finding someone else to substitute," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "There's already someone in charge."
The heroes exchanged wary glances before sighing in relief. "Guess we dodged a bullet this time," Midnight said, stretching her arms.
"Okay, people, meeting adjourned!" Present Mic shouted, and the group dissipated, each hero heading back to their respective duties.
Meanwhile, in Class 1-A, the new arrangement was already in full swing. Inko Midoriya and Mitsuki Bakugo stood at the front of the classroom, ready to take on the challenge of supervising the rambunctious students.
"Alright, everyone, let's settle down!" Inko said, her nurturing demeanor radiating warmth. "We're here to make sure you keep up with your lessons while Mr. Aizawa is away!"
Mitsuki, on the other hand, crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, her stance exuding a fierceness that commanded attention. "And just so you know," she added, her tone low and threatening, "mess with me, and I will beat your ass."
There was a collective hush in the room, followed by nervous giggles. The students quickly exchanged glances, recognizing the seriousness in Mitsuki's voice. They were used to her son's antics, but this? This was a whole new level.
With both mothers set on their methods—Inko nurturing and Mitsuki disciplining—Class 1-A shifted into an unexpected routine. Inko provided warmth and encouragement, while Mitsuki kept everyone in line with a combination of stern looks and eyebrow raises that sent shivers down their spines.
Throughout the week, the class found themselves strangely functioning. Students collaborated on projects, respected deadlines, and even helped each other out. Each time someone started to cause trouble, a fierce glare from Mitsuki was all it took to keep them in check.
However, that didn't mean there were no outbursts, especially from one particular student. Katsuki Bakugo found himself constantly embarrassed by his mother's presence in the classroom. He couldn't take it anymore.
"Mom! Stop it!" he shouted one afternoon when Mitsuki reminded him to engage more respectfully with his classmates. "You're not a teacher; you shouldn't be here!"
The room fell silent, all eyes turning to Mitsuki, who straightened defiantly. "Oh, but I am here, Katsuki. And you need to learn that respect goes both ways. If I hear you raise your voice again…" Mitsuki paused for dramatic effect, "I will take the extra time to make you scrub the entire training room floor."
Bakugo's face flushed a furious red as the class erupted into laughter. "Fine! Whatever!" he huffed, crossing his arms in an attempt to look tough, but he couldn't hide the embarrassment in his eyes.
And so the week continued, with Inko's gentle guidance balancing Mitsuki's tough-love approach. By the time Aizawa returned, Class 1-A had surprisingly thrived under the unconventional supervision.
As the students gathered to share their experiences, they couldn't help but chuckle. "I actually think we learned a lot," Izuku whispered to his friend, a smile spreading across his face.
"Yeah, I thought I was gonna die at first," Bakugo grumbled but couldn't hide his smirk as Mitsuki walked by, giving him a proud grin.
Aizawa appeared at the door, a bemused look on his face as he observed the quiet harmony in the classroom. He realized that perhaps unexpected leadership—especially from two fierce mothers—was just what Class 1-A needed to reignite their focus.
"Alright, settle down," he said, and as usual, the class instantly quieted. There was a new energy in the room, a mixture of respect and camaraderie that made Aizawa smirk. "Let's see if you can maintain this without your moms hovering over you."
As the students launched into their next lesson, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Maybe chaos wasn't the only thing they learned to deal with after all.
