Just as I was getting into bed, I heard a noise outside the door, and someone was propping it open on the other side. After about five minutes, the noise in the corridor subsided, but whoever had come to the door to our room remained guarding it.
The silence lasted for more than two hours, until quick footsteps came down the corridor without any concern for waking the children. It was easy to tell by the sound - running each time slowing down in front of the next room. Here came the turn and our door, the runner said something unintelligible and ran away further, and at that moment the door opened and looked in the ambulance in a suit:
- Everybody get up, get dressed and by the hands go to the main hall! - He said, and I only tensed up more, my fears were confirmed - these guys had come for me.
I got dressed and went to the main hall with all of them. I can escape at any moment, I can spread my flame in the area up to thirty metres, and there, bypassing doors and fences, I'll be a few seconds away from the orphanage, the road to the station will take about five minutes without fancy, and in twenty I'll be sitting in the train to the farthest station. The money is in my pocket, in a month Kayama Toru will die and some Izuku Bakugo will be born or whatever I can think of, with that kind of money I can do whatever I want.
While I was pondering, all the children were led into the great hall. The principal, with a battered face, was being held under the arms of two of the same amassed men who guarded our room, and next to him, in a chair brought from the principal's office, sat a girl who looked to be about twenty, maybe twenty-five years old. She was wearing a luxurious evening dress, with someone's skin on her shoulders, and she was smoking a long pipe. I'd only met such characters in books, and I couldn't imagine that they existed in reality. Although it's worth noting that she looked incredibly beautiful.
- Is everyone here? - threw the girl to the big guy who entered the hall, who had closed the big doors, blocking the only way out of the room, or through the window from the first floor.
- Yes. - the man nodded and propped himself up against the door.
- And so, my dear children, - the girl got up from the chair and began to walk around the centre of the hall, - your beloved director could not quench my deep sorrow, and threw all the blame on one of you, - she stopped and spun around looking at those gathered, - and although I didn't believe him, I can't give up at least a minimal possibility of such an outcome, I can't, this loss may cost me too much. - There were whispers of discussion in the room, because even I don't know who she is, and I've been surfing the net for half a year. - So, do any of you know anything about Harry Potter? - Oh, how could I have piqued her interest? I don't even know who she is, she's not Joanne Rowling, she's not Japanese at all... - you,' she pointed to the crowd of children nearest to her, 'come here, your bold and a bit cheeky look has won my soft heart, come here, you have nothing to fear. - She waved her finger at the most hated character I've ever seen. This scumbag is the mastermind behind all the attacks on me.
- Hold him,' she commanded, and the two thugs who were holding the headmaster picked him up in a flash.
- No!' the freed principal rushed to the girl, 'it couldn't have been him, and none of the kids could have done it! Spare them please!
- Fi! Now you're talking like that! Your bedbug house is worthless and I can easily cover it up at any time,' the girl waved the principal away squeamishly, "but my reputation, letting this..." a sour face came out on her face, 'Ahem! My reputation is worth more than all of you put together! Shut up and sit in your chair with your shaking knees. - shoved the principal right into his chair. - Come on. - she nodded to her goons and the happiest thirty minutes of my life began.
Half an hour later, when the boy was at his last gasp, he was dragged off to the infirmary on the orders of the overnight guest.
- You don't seem to have the warmest relationship with the young upstart,' she looked at the dragged boy, "if he could watch all this quietly," and I just laughed louder in my thoughts, "well, to write such a romantic story..." she stretched out as if savouring her own words, 'she will be next! - she pointed at the blushing cutie next to her, - and start with her pretty face!
- All right, I'll do it,' she said, raising her hands in the air, 'I wrote what's bothering you so much! - At first glance it didn't seem like the smartest idea, eventually they'd just get bored, sooner or later they'd leave and I'd run away too, but after thinking about it in more detail I came to the conclusion that she might be my legal ticket out of this place!
