Chapter 4174: Race

Chapter 4174: Race

I walked out of the abode.

The battle that had stopped me has since ended.

However, it was a wise decision to enter the abode as the battle had lasted over an hour.

I made my way toward the destination. I only have around three hours to reach it. That door can only be opened for a few minutes. It will close.

Usually, I don't use such places or other artifacts to make the breakthrough as I have my own, but this time, the breakthrough formation hasn't been upgraded.

My original place was to return to the organization and work on it after I was done with the inheritance, but I am not even done with the inheritance.

I could forget about upgrading the breakthrough formation.

I will do that after the breakthrough; there is also the abode. I have gathered all the things I would need for it.

Especially that top-grade Beldar's Cement. It is going to make things very easy.

I moved fast, but when I sensed the powerful Prime. I would stop.

Like right now.

Thankfully, the prime moved fast. So, I didn't have to wait for too long. The second one I came across took some time.

Some more time passed, and I began to notice the Sky Sovereigns. They are moving in the same direction as I am.

It made things a little easier as I was able to hide better.

There are a lot of Sky Sovereigns; most of them are familiar despite them changing their skin, but some are unfamiliar and give off the same feeling as the Prime come different world.

I have come across them before and got what I wanted from them.

So, I didn't send my seed.

Finally, I reached the destination twenty minutes before its opening.

"It seemed like there are going to be a lot more people than I thought," said the handsome man with a head full of thin blond hair.

The shaman.

He once again changed the skin. He is now a devilishly handsome human in his mid-twenties, with the sphere on his back.

The last two times I met him. He used different weapons. Even the information about him didn't state which weapon he prefers.

Though he is right, there are more Sky Sovereigns. Including the one I had helped.

He shouldn't have. The race is dangerous, and there are only seven spots here. If he participates, he might die.

Though, I didn't warn him about it.

The information about it is public. If he is here, then he must have thought about its pros and cons well.

I picked up a spot and sat down before turning to the building.

It is a black single-story building with triangular glass doors. It is quite beautiful, with its beautiful shimmer.

Minutes passed, and the Sky Sovereigns kept coming till only a minute remained when the purple-skinned woman made an entrance.

The red hunter.

She is wearing skin. So, I only glanced at her before getting up and walking toward the door like many were doing.

Seconds passed before the minute was over.

Click!

The gate shone before a clicking sound rang out as its three panels moved back.

Immediately, the people took a step inside. I followed them; the gate didn't remain open for a long while. So, getting inside as soon as possible is wise.

"Welcome to the nine-lotus race,"

The voice rang out, and immediately, the long, colorful road made of light appeared in front of us.

At the end of the road are nine lotuses.

Each lotus is a different color, with the white one being the best. It is my target, but it

wouldn't be easy; the road is filled with dangers.

Though the most dangerous are the people, here, people are allowed to attack.

I looked at the clock and walked toward the line. Other thirty-seven are doing the same, with a

somber look in their eyes.

Though, some, like the shaman, had excitement in his eyes.

I readied myself as only three seconds remained.

"Go!"

The voice said, and we moved. I moved fast, not fast enough, but still fast.

Rip Pachack!

Not even a second passed when I heard the two sounds. They got decapitated by a scaled man while the shaman cut the girl in front of him into two.

I saw the attack coming toward me with the intention to kill me.

It's a blue-haired half-elf with a long sword. It's a powerful attack covered in lightning.

Rip!

A moment later, the head flew up, with shock in the half-elves' eyes.

It's such a regret that I couldn't take their storage. That would have been wonderful.

Immediately, changes occurred, the weaker ones slowed down while the strong moved forward. There are twelve of us ahead, moving at nearly the same speed.

This challenge isn't a simple race. It is a lot more.

Those nine lotuses are considered the best breakthrough artifacts. The power of the whole secret realm connected to them.

They also contain rare and powerful energies that would be required for the breakthrough, along with resources.

However, the most important thing is the formation itself. It eases the strain of the breakthrough. Increasing the chances of success.

It also tells the chances of success and the things one needs to improve to succeed.

The twelve of us looked at each other. Gauging the abilities while also being ready to respond

if anyone attacks.

Everyone is powerful, but I am sending the biggest threat from the red hunter, shaman, and blue-eyed young woman with curved horns.

The others aren't much weaker, either. It would be extremely hard for me to kill them in a single attack.

I have no wish to attack them, but I am ready to respond against them, as more than half of them looked like they wanted to attack.

Seconds passed, and finally, a minute was over. I readied myself for what was about to come. It didn't take even a second as a big lightning bolt came streaking toward me.
