My one and only highschool love, has become my husband.

Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Because you didn't hit my brother with your car

Ace lay in bed, his mind racing with thoughts of Aria. "God," he sighed, running his hand through his hair.

The next morning, Ace took his time bathing, his mind still preoccupied with the question: "Am I really in love with Aria?"

After dressing, Ace descended the stairs, greeting his parents with a charming smile. "Greetings, Mom, Dad."

His mother noticed the sparkle in his eye. "How are you today, Ace? You look happy about something."

Ace played it cool, but his mind wandered to Aria. "Oh, I have no idea."

At the Frederick's residence, Aria's family was excited about their weekend plans. "Aria, why don't you go buy us some ice cream?" her mother suggested.

Aria agreed, grabbing her coat and calling out to her little brother, Max. "One, two, three!"

Max ran out of his room, eager to join his sister. "You can't leave me behind!"

Aria smiled, holding Max's hand as they walked down the street. But Max suddenly broke free, shouting, "Aria, aria, chase me if you can!"

Aria chased after Max, laughing and scolding him at the same time. But just as she was about to catch him, Max stopped in the middle of the street.

Ace, driving down the street, slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting Max. "Shoooze!" The sound of screeching tires filled the air.

Aria's heart skipped a beat as she saw Ace jump out of his car, rushing to check on Max. "Are you alright? Are you injured?" Ace asked, his voice laced with concern.

Aria approached, her eyes fixed on Ace's back. "Are you alright?" she asked Max, trying to sound calm despite the turmoil inside.

Max smiled, oblivious to the danger he had just faced. "Yes, sis, I'm fine. Look, the car didn't crash into me."

Aria's relief turned to anger as she scolded Max for his recklessness. Ace watched, mesmerized by Aria's fiery personality.

As Aria lectured Max, Ace found himself smiling, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. He was captivated by Aria's passion and energy.

Max, tired of his sister's scolding, covered her mouth with his hand. "Aria, he's your brother," Ace said, suddenly realizing the connection.

Aria turned to him, her expression softening. "Yes, he's my brother. Thanks."

Ace looked puzzled. "You're thanking me for what?"

Aria explained, "For not hitting him and pressing the brake in time. Thank you very much."

Ace's eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. The air was charged with an unspoken connection.
