Chapter 16: The Special Class Begins

----

Everyone said you are really good at making it. It will be a good business.

Kent said, I will be selling stinky momo's from now on. All of you should covenant into something which fits with momos. In this way all of our business will grow. You all help me a lot.

Everyone is happy hearing that. They said, Don't mention that again. Life is very hard for you and your sister. We all just wanted to help.

Free samples available first then Kent started to yell, five dollars for a dozen of momo's. Come and get yours soon. "Stock is limited."

A huge crowd comes to buy it. They all saw the other stall owners' reaction when they ate. In no time all the momo's were sold. He also earned huge SP from them.

Kent thinking, selling stinky momo's earns me a lot of money.

I don't even have to pay for the momo's system-give it to me for free. I also earned a huge amount of SP in the process.

By happiness flowers were blooming inside his mind.

🌸Happy Happy Happy! ☺️ 🌸

Next day as usual he sells stinky momo's. Then he went to school.Today is the first day of special class.

Kent stood at the gates of the special class building, a towering structure tucked away in the far corner of the school campus.

Unlike the main school, this area was surrounded by high walls topped with surveillance cameras.

Armed guards patrolled the perimeter, their presence making it clear that this wasn't an ordinary classroom.

"Fancy," Kent muttered, adjusting his worn- out backpack. "All this for a bunch of kids who can throw fireballs and lift cars?"

The gates creaked open, revealing a pathway lined with neatly trimmed hedges and glowing lampposts. Kent followed the path, the faint hum of spiritual energy in the air sending shivers down his spine.

"This place feels different," he thought. "Stronger."

The special class was held in a sleek, modern room with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the school grounds. As Kent entered, he immediately felt the weight of judgmental stares.

Most of the students were seated in small groups, chatting confidently. Their uniforms were pristine, their postures oozing self-assurance.

Compared to them, Kent's patched-up outfit and casual demeanor made him stand out like a sore thumb.

At the front of the room sat a boy who looked like he belonged on the cover of a magazine. His golden hair shimmered under the sunlight, and his bright blue eyes seemed to glow faintly.

"Who's that?" Kent muttered under his breath.

"Ethan Cross," someone whispered nearby. "He has an A-Rank physique. Looks like an angel, doesn't he?"

Kent rolled his eyes. "Great, a poster boy for perfection."

Ethan noticed Kent looking and smiled warmly. He picked up his bag and walked over, drawing more stares from the class.

"Hi, I'm Ethan. Mind if I sit here?"

Kent blinked in surprise. "Uh, sure. Go ahead."

Ethan sat down, extending a hand. "You're Kent, right?"

"Yeah," Kent replied, shaking his hand. "How'd you know?"

"I heard about you," Ethan said. "The F-Rank guy who awakened on his own without any clan or organisation backing made it into the special class. That's impressive."

Kent snorted. "Yeah, tell that to the rest of these guys. They look like they're ready to throw me out."

'Ethan chuckled.'

Ding! +30 SP copied (Amusement).

Across the room sat Mia Carter, a girl with long black hair and striking green eyes. She had an air of quiet intensity, her gaze fixed on her desk.

Despite her silence, she commanded the attention of nearly every boy in the room.

"Man, she's gorgeous," someone whispered.

"I heard she has an A-Rank physique too. Think I should talk to her?"

Kent glanced at her briefly before turning back to Ethan. "Looks don't matter in here. It's talent I care about."

At the back of the room stood Ryan Hale, arms crossed and glaring at everyone like they were beneath him. His broad shoulders and sharp features made him look more like a professional fighter than a student.

"He's A-Rank too?" Ethan whispered. "Strength type. He's not exactly… friendly."

Kent smirked. "Good. I like unfriendly people. They're easy SP." thinking on his own.

The room fell silent as the door opened, and a woman in her mid-thirties strode in.

Elena Rivers had sharp auburn hair and an equally sharp gaze. She is a level C cultivator and was evident in her graceful yet commanding movements.

"Welcome to the special class," she began, her voice calm but firm. "You're here because you have potential. But potential is meaningless without discipline."

She scanned the room, her eyes briefly resting on Kent before moving on.

"First, some rules," Elena continued.

"Everything that happens in this class stays in this class. Sharing information with outsiders is a violation of Nexus law and will result in severe consequences."

A boy in the back raised his hand nervously. "What if someone already told people they're in the special class?"

Elena's gaze turned icy. "Then they've already made their first mistake."

She pointed to the Nexus emblem on the wall— a swirling design of interconnected lines, symbolizing unity and control.

"Nexus is the central organization overseeing all awakened individuals.

They are responsible for regulating spiritual energy and maintaining order in a world that's rapidly changing."

She gestured to another symbol beneath it: a single eye surrounded by a ring of stars.

"The Watchers serve Nexus directly. They're the ones who enforce the rules and deal with threats— rogue awakened, spiritual beasts, and anyone who defies the law."
