Chapter 138: Chapter 133: An Unexpected Battle That Shouldn't Have Happened!

Chapter 133: An Unexpected Battle That Shouldn't Have Happened!

Seeing Haku's retreating figure, Sasori did not hesitate and immediately gave chase.

However, Hiruko, being merely a puppet, lacked the speed to match Haku.

Both were Kage-level fighters, and if one of them wanted to flee, the other would find it exceedingly difficult to stop them.

The best outcome would be to gravely wound the opponent, but the end result would still likely be the opponent escaping.

An hour later, Haku finally managed to shake off Sasori's pursuit.

Sasori, feeling annoyed, thought to himself: If I had known this brat was so good at running, I would've brought Deidara along.

Although Deidara's "art" wasn't great, and his combat prowess wasn't stellar, the guy was exceptionally fast—his clay could transform into a giant bird to carry him through the skies.

Thinking this over, Sasori could only let it go for now. However, he vowed to develop a trap puppet capable of confining Kage-level opponents. Next time, he wouldn't allow such a person to escape again!

---

Meanwhile, after escaping, Haku found a secluded spot to relay the information.

But before he could take a moment to rest, yet another unexpected event occurred!

Naruto, Kakashi, and their group stumbled upon Haku, who was covered in blood.

Seeing them, Haku froze momentarily. His first thought was that they were a pursuit team sent to kill him!

After all, nearly everyone in the ninja world was currently an enemy of the Immortal Organization.

Without a word, Haku immediately hurled three kunai at them.

Naruto, startled, quickly evaded the attack. After numerous battles in the Grass Ninja Village, Naruto's combat awareness had improved significantly, allowing him to dodge with ease.

"Hey! What's your problem? Why are you randomly attacking people?!" Naruto exclaimed, wanting to argue.

However, Sasuke had already lunged forward to engage Haku.

Facing Sasuke's attack, Haku remained unfazed. He swiftly drew a kunai to block Sasuke's strike.

At this point, Sasuke was at best a quasi-Kage-level ninja. Without even mastering the Mangekyō Sharingan, he was far from being a threat.

Kakashi and Jiraiya, standing on the sidelines, chose not to intervene, wanting to observe how much progress Naruto and Sasuke had made in their training.

Though they refrained from joining the fight, they were highly curious about the blood-soaked man before them.

Why was he in this dangerous territory within the Grass Ninja Village?

---

As the battle progressed, Haku began to notice something off about Naruto and Sasuke.

Why do these two seem to know some of Lord Ishihara's secret techniques?

Could it be that they had killed many members of the Immortal Organization and learned the techniques from them?

The thought enraged Haku. Fueled by anger, he unleashed his full strength, quickly gaining the upper hand against Naruto and Sasuke.

Sasuke's Sharingan provided little advantage since he hadn't reached Kage-level strength. Haku focused his attacks primarily on Sasuke, leaving him severely injured in one strike.

Seeing Sasuke gravely wounded triggered something in Naruto.

His eyes turned red, and red chakra began to emanate from his body.

It was the Tailed Beast Cloak!

With the Tailed Beast Cloak, Naruto's strength soared to Kage-level, or perhaps even beyond.

Haku's attacks, aimed at Naruto, were effortlessly deflected by the cloak. And when Naruto struck back, Haku felt as though his entire body was about to ignite.

The chakra's sheer power was overwhelming.

Already injured from his earlier fight, Haku found himself outmatched by Naruto and his allies.

Casting a glance at Jiraiya and Kakashi, Haku sensed that their threat level was on par with, or even greater than, the blond kid before him.

Especially the white-haired man—he radiated a deadly aura that unnerved Haku.

Determined to buy time until reinforcements arrived, Haku decided to rely on a secret technique Lord Ishihara had taught him for survival.

During a clash with Naruto, Haku suddenly retreated and began forming rapid hand seals.

Cold air radiated from his body as he encased himself in ice.

This survival technique created an impenetrable frozen barrier. The ice was nearly impossible to destroy, and even if it were broken, Haku could reform it.

"Hey! What are you doing?! Stop that!" Naruto shouted, his Nine-Tails Cloak dissipating as he looked at the ice barrier in confusion.

Naruto yelled at the icy figure, but Haku couldn't hear him from within.

"Rasengan!"

Naruto unleashed a Rasengan against the ice, but even the powerful technique only managed to chip off a few shards.

The ice remained unbroken.
