Naruto: Forbidden Pleasures

Chapter 6: The Morning of Training

The sun had just begun to rise above the mountains, casting its first golden rays over Konoha. The cool morning air enveloped the village, carrying a gentle breeze that made the leaves dance on the trees. The streets were still quiet, with only the earliest teams of shinobi moving about, preparing for their daily missions. The horizon was painted in hues of orange and pink, heralding a clear and peaceful day.

In the center of an isolated training ground, Naruto was already present, his face marked with determination. His bright eyes were fixed on his opponent for the day: Neji. The young Hyuga stood poised, calm, and focused, his eyes glowing with a supernatural light thanks to his Byakugan.

"Are you sure you really want to do this?" Neji asked, adjusting his headband.

"I'm not letting you avoid me this time, Neji!" Naruto replied, a defiant grin on his face.

"Very well. Prepare yourself."

Without warning, Neji launched his attack, his speed immediately throwing Naruto off balance. Their movements blurred together in rapid succession. Neji dodged every strike Naruto attempted, his Byakugan allowing him to anticipate each move in advance. Naruto, initially overwhelmed, began adjusting his stance. He attacked, but Neji was always there, ready to block or sidestep with impressive ease.

Naruto rushed forward, launching a spinning kick at full speed toward Neji's head. Neji, relentless, blocked the attack with his arm while pivoting slightly on his feet, delivering a quick strike to Naruto's ribs to throw him off balance.

"You need to be more unpredictable, Naruto. Don't rely on simple strikes; your technique needs to flow," Neji explained while watching the blond's movements.

Naruto, slightly shaken but refusing to be intimidated, got back on his feet and tried a rapid series of punches. But Neji, with his Byakugan, anticipated every move before Naruto could even finish it. He blocked each blow with surgical precision, leaving no opening.

"Use your mind as much as your muscles," Neji continued, countering one of Naruto's attacks with an outstretched arm before delivering a quick counterstrike.

Naruto growled in frustration but didn't slow down. He charged forward again, more determined than ever. This time, he aimed a sweeping kick at Neji's legs to limit his mobility. Neji blocked the attack with one arm, but Naruto used the momentum to quickly follow up with a knee strike, hitting the Hyuga's stomach.

Neji stepped back, slightly surprised by the speed of the attack, but he immediately regained his fighting stance. He observed Naruto closely.

"Good, you're starting to understand the concept, but you still lack anticipation. When you strike, analyze your opponent, not just your own movements."

Naruto, panting but still full of determination, glared at Neji with frustration.

"But how do you do it, huh? How do you know what I'm going to do before I even do it?"

Neji dodged a kick from Naruto while landing a quick strike to his shoulder, forcing him to retreat.

"It's not about knowing what you'll do; it's about perceiving your intent before it manifests. If you learn to read the signals of your body, you'll know where and when to strike."

Naruto, breathless but unyielding, refused to give up. He wasn't going down without a fight. He focused his energy and charged at Neji, this time attempting a series of more fluid and varied moves: a left hook, followed by a spinning kick and a knee strike. Neji, while blocking the kick, raised a hand to deflect a quick punch before delivering a counter to Naruto's stomach, sending him to the ground.

"Focus on the natural flow of your body, not just brute strength," Neji advised as he stepped back.

Naruto, eyes burning with frustration, quickly got to his feet. He'd had enough of the advice, but he knew Neji was right. He adjusted his strategy, deciding to stop rushing blindly and instead try to understand Neji's movements.

The two shinobi continued sparring for another two hours. As time passed, Naruto began to grasp the basics of hand-to-hand combat. He anticipated Neji's movements better, blocking several attacks and managing to counter with greater precision.

Finally, they took a break. Naruto, exhausted but satisfied, removed his jacket, revealing a body sculpted by years of training. He sat on the grass, breathing heavily but with a look of focus. Neji, on the other hand, sat in a lotus position, his gaze as calm as ever.

Naruto lay back on the grass, watching the clouds slowly drift across the morning sky.

"How do you stay so calm during a fight, Neji? Even when things heat up, you never seem rattled."

Neji slowly turned his gaze to him, a glint of wisdom in his eyes.

"It's not about staying calm, Naruto. It's about accepting what's beyond your control. Whatever is in your mind and heart reflects in your actions. If you maintain calmness, your body will follow."

Naruto raised an eyebrow, an amused grin spreading across his face.

"So, you're saying I should try to stay calm even when I'm getting hit from every direction?"

Neji smiled faintly.

"Exactly. But that will come with time. You have the potential. Now, you just need to master it."

Naruto chuckled softly.

"Well, I've got a long way to go, but I'll give it my best. I'll get stronger!"

Neji nodded, a small smile playing on his lips.

"I don't doubt it."

Neji stood, brushing the grass from his clothes, his faint smile lingering as he acknowledged Naruto's improvement. He turned to leave, saying nothing more, but Naruto called out before he could take a step.

"Hey, Neji, wait!"

Neji turned, raising an eyebrow.

"What?"

"You're not tired yet, are you? Tomorrow, we're continuing this training, okay?"

Neji paused, observing Naruto with a glimmer of indecision in his eyes. Finally, he sighed.

"Very well, but not before dawn."

Naruto beamed.

"Perfect! See you tomorrow, then!"

Neji nodded slightly before turning away and walking off, his measured steps and impassive expression unchanged. He disappeared into the horizon, leaving Naruto alone in the training field.

Stretching as he stood, Naruto looked up at the sky with a smile. He still had much to learn, but he felt he was moving in the right direction, step by step. The training with Neji had been tough, but every moment was a step toward progress.

As he headed toward the exit, he spotted Jiraiya walking slowly, looking pensive. His shoulders sagged slightly, as if carrying an invisible burden. Curious, Naruto called out to his master.

"Hey, Jiraiya-sensei!"

The Sannin turned slowly toward him, his gaze somewhat distant in thought.

"Naruto…"

"What's on your mind? You look... worried."

Jiraiya sighed, a tired smile on his face.

"Nothing serious, kid. Just... things to deal with."

Naruto watched him with curiosity, intrigued.
