Naruto: From Konoha to One Piece

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Confronting the Truth

"Ugh..." Hyuga Hizashi groaned, clutching his head as he regained consciousness.

Fragments of strange memories swirled in his mind, making his face darken. "What... what are these? Am I dreaming? And who on earth is this Hyuga Shin?"

Though Shin completely suppressed his consciousness during their fusion using the Munch-Munch Fruit, Hizashi retained the memories. These lingering images left him questioning everything he knew.

After a moment of shock, Hizashi managed to pull himself together. Although rare in the ninja world, joint transformation techniques were not unheard of. The Inuzuka clan, known for fusing with their animal companions, were experts in this area.

This, however, was an entirely different level—a true fusion between two human beings. The power he felt was far beyond any transformation technique. He could still recall the sheer, ocean-like strength of Hyuga Shin's chakra and the immense power of the Rinnegan-Byakugan hybrid. It was unlike anything he had ever experienced.

Hizashi scanned his surroundings. Gone was the desolate lunar landscape, replaced by lush greenery, the sound of birds, and sunlight streaming from a golden sun above. Yet, the sun's light felt charged, radiating a familiar, terrifying dojutsu.

"That's... the same power I sensed during the transformation! It's the energy of the Tenseigan!"

The realization sent a chill through him. The feeling was akin to standing beside an inactive nuclear warhead, aware that while the chance of it detonating was minimal, its presence was overwhelming.

Before he could process further, a massive black wave appeared in the sky, slowly devouring the sun. Hizashi watched, wide-eyed, barely able to breathe.

The black wave vanished in moments, revealing Shin floating in the sky. His body was cloaked in a soft, blue-purple chakra, emanating an aura so powerful it felt like a hurricane, even to those without sensory abilities.

A mournful wail sounded nearby. Turning, Hizashi spotted a middle-aged Otsutsuki man kneeling in despair.

"Our hope... it's all gone!" he sobbed, clutching his chest.

From above, Shin scoffed, his voice laced with disdain. "Hope? I've never heard of a weapon meant to destroy the world being called 'hope' of a clan."

The Otsutsuki man's face twisted in rage. "What do you know? The world created by the Sage of Six Paths is flawed—a realm of endless war and suffering. There is nothing worthwhile left in it!"

Shin shook his head in contempt. "I won't argue that the world has problems, but it's still better off than the mess you've made here. Your clan has torn itself apart over some ancient feud, and you have the nerve to condemn the world?"

Inwardly, Shin thought that if there was a single family more absurdly dysfunctional than the Uchiha, it would be the Otsutsuki clan on the Moon. They'd destroyed each other over age-old conflicts, like armchair critics tearing each other apart over matters beyond their control.

Hyuga Hizashi gave the Otsutsuki man a look of disbelief. The Hyuga clan was well known for minding their own affairs. Yet here was an entire family wiped out, all because they were outraged by the wars on the planet below?

"You... You don't understand. This is the sacred mission our ancestors entrusted to us…" stammered the Otsutsuki man.

"Sacred mission?" Shin chuckled, raising his hand as a dark energy shot out, forming an ethereal figure—the spirit of Hamura Otsutsuki, the clan's ancestor.

"Ancestor!" gasped the Otsutsuki man, frozen in shock. Although he lacked the Byakugan, his astonished expression was unmistakable.

"Yes, this chakra... it's him. Hamura-sama, our ancestor! The Otsutsuki of the Moon salutes you, Hamura-sama!"

The spirit of Hamura, now visible to all, looked solemnly at the man. "So, you are my descendant. Is what this young man says true? Has our lineage dwindled to only you two?"

The Otsutsuki's face fell, shame replacing his initial excitement. "I... I'm sorry, Ancestor. There were... disagreements over your wishes…"

Hamura sighed, his gaze weary. "I realize now that my instructions were too vague. I only intended for you to be prepared in case Mother's seal was broken. I never meant for our descendants to misinterpret my words this way."

The Otsutsuki man's face turned pale, trembling as he processed his ancestor's words. Hamura's soft but clear statement shattered everything he thought he knew.

"Then... everything—all the sacrifices, the conflicts... it was all a mistake?" he murmured, his voice weak. In an instant, the Otsutsuki man seemed to age by decades, his pride collapsing into despair.

Nearby, Toneri Otsutsuki looked on, his young face displaying concern for his father but little reaction otherwise. As a child, he hadn't yet been scarred by these wars. His only worry was his father's haggard expression.

Hamura looked at his descendants, sighing once more at the sight of their pain. Although he understood how hard it was for them to accept this revelation, he couldn't allow them to continue down a misguided path.
