Chapter 8: Chapter 8
"Shingen...."
Ino wanted to say something, but Shikamaru stopped her and motioned for her to look, Shikamaru was curious about what Shingen was going to do next.
But their confusion quickly dissipated, as Shingen came to an open area with a pile of corpses on his shoulders and laid them down.
The sun was sinking in the west, and soon the red light oft the setting sun covered the sky.
Ino and shikamaru still stood in the place dumbfounded, as the empty space in front of them had turned into a cemetery with about 20 tombstones.
Shingen placed the last large stone at the entrance to the cemetery and began to crave words on it with a Kunai. After blessing the afterlife for those who died in unjust battles, Shingen sat down and closed his eyes to pay tribute to the deceased.
Shingen may have been selfish, but he was also a human being, and he didn't mind reaching out to those who died before his eyes, and he didn't feel guilty about those who were hostile to him.
"This guy...." Shikamaru saw everything Shingen did from beginning to end.
I addition to the awe of his strength, Shikamaru's heart also swelled with pure respect for Shingen.
At first, he also had some doubts in his heart, why Shingen wanted to hide his strength, but now these doubts are gone, because he knows that such a person will definitely not be evil.
"What a warm feeling."
Ino said with a smile, looking at the figure sitting quietly in the shadows of the setting sun, Shingen's image in her heart was also improved, and a special feeling her heart.
"Let's go."
Ino motioned for Shikamaru to follow him, and she came to Shingen's side and sat on his left, and Shikamaru sat on his right, and they also closed their eyes and paid tribute to those who had passed.
Shingen finally opened his eyes, and saw Ino and Shikamaru sitting beside him with their eyes closed, and his clod and ruthless eagle-like eyes couldn't help but to soften a little.
The first rays of the rising sun shone on the village, and the sweet chirping of birds echoed throughout the village.
"Ah, what a nice weather!" At the entrance of the village, two ninjas guarding the gate also stretched their waists, moved their stiff bodies, and enjoyed the cheerful morning.
At this moment, several figures flashed, and some people appeared in front of the two gatekeepers, startling them slightly.
"Ah, Shikamaru, Ino, have you returned from your mission?" After a moment of surprise, they recognized the two and asked curiously.
"Yes, that's a hassle...." Shikamaru replied rubbing his sleepy eyes, he didn't get much sleep because they decided to camp in the wild.
"Ah, he's?" on of them smiled at the tired Shikamaru, who had always be like this, but his attention quickly turned to the figure with black hair standing up, sharp face, and a small knife mark on his left cheek. At about 1.87 meters tall, he is one of the tallest people in the village.
"He's Shingen, a friend of mine who is a Chunin." The ninja looked at Shingen, hoping for an introduction, but the latter remained silent when Ino interjected and hurriedly introduced each other.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Shingen."
"Hmm." The two politely stretched out their hands to shake hands, but Shingen just looked at them and nodded slightly.
"Ahh ha!" a little embarrassed, they both withdrew their hands and tried to smile.
"Hee-hee~ It's a familiar sight." Ino smiled and looked at the embarrassed gatekeeper duo, because the same thing happened when she first met Shingen in the store.
"Let's go, Shikamaru, Shingen, we're going to report the mission."
Ino, who was in a good mood, turned to Shikamaru and Shingen, and said happily, the former nodded the, and the latter silently followed her
Inside Hokage's office:
"What a tiring day." Tsunade, with somewhat dishevelled hair, was wearing a turquoise haori and dropping on the table, her two breasts trembling slightly, and a tired expression on her face.
"Please maintain the majesty of the Hokage, Lady Tsunade."
With a stack of papers in her hands and a pig following behind her, Shizune walked up to her and placed the papers on the table, and Tsunade's eyes became even more sleepy.
"I want to drink." Tsunade said as she slumped over the table, pouting that she barely had a chance to enjoy a night after becoming Hokage.
"Hey, hey~ You're done with all of this before you go drink."
Shizune brought more papers and placed them on the table, a mischievous smile on her face.
"Ahhhh!! Why are you so ruthless, Shizune?" Tsunade cried with grievances on her face, and she held her left chest with her hand, as if she ha been deeply hurt.
Knock, Knock....
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Tsunade immediately straightened up, ran her hands through her messy hair, and said politely.
"Please come in!"
"Ah, you're back!"
The door was pushed open, and Shikamaru, Ino and Shingen who have just returned, walked into the room. Tsunade greeted them with a slightly serious look, a very different expression from the previous pouting expression.
Hokage-sama!"
"Did you get the job done?"
The three of them bowed slightly and greeted her, and Tsunade nodded and asked about the mission, as this mission was no less important than an A-class mission. Those Rouge ninjas have already killed a lot of people, and dealing with them is a priority.
"Mission accomplished, here's the mission report!".
Shikamaru replied with his usual tired expression, and handed her a scroll detailing the details of the mission.
"Good!".
With a smile on her face, Tsunade took the scroll and was about to put it aside, but seeing Shingen standing there, she decided to read the report immediately.
She learned about him from Shizune, Shingen, a 16-year-old Chunin who lost his parents in the attack two years ago, a completely ordinary resume, nothing worth mentioning. Shingen's performance made Tsunade very shocked and curious. Although she didn't pay much attention to him in the Chunin exam, now seeing his performance in the mission, she began to take a keen interest in him. She wanted to see if he really had enough potential and a future, or if he was just lucky enough to pass the Chunin exam.
Shikamaru and Ino looked at each other and laughed, exchanging glances with each other, knowing that Hokage-sama was about to get a huge surprise.
And Shingen maintained a calm attitude, and for him, it didn't matter whether his strength was exposed or not, because he never intended to hide.
"Hmm, curse marks?"
Tsunade read the curse marks on the enemies they encountered, and a solemn expression appeared on his face.
Orochimaru has caused great harm to Konoha, and almost everyone hates him to the core, so the Anbu's has been looking for clues about him in order to put him on trial.
"Orochimaru!!" even Shizune stopped sorting out the papers and looked at Tsunade, expecting to hear more details.
"This..."
Tsunade didn't stop reading, her eyes getting bigger and bigger as she read.
"Two Jonin... With one blow..."
Finally, after reading the entire report, Tsunade placed the scroll on the table and looked at Shingen, muttering to herself as if she had seen a ghost.
"What happened?".
Seeing Tsunade looking at Shingen in a daze, Shizune was very surprised, and hurriedly picked up the scroll and began to read.
"It's... How is this possible...?"
Shizune's reaction was similar to Tsunade's, the scroll slipped from her hand, and she stared blankly at Yuan Song, dumbfounded.
In the face of their curious and shocked gazes, Shingen remained calm and stood quietly in place, his arms crossed in front of his chest.
"It's... It's really... Is it true...?".
After a period of surprise, Tsunade finaly woke up from her trance, took a deep breath, looked at Shikamaru who handed her the report, and asked.
She could defeat them with just one move, but it would never be as easy as Shingen.
