"General the experiment is nearly complete. Dr. Gero estimates it'll be ready in another week."

I nodded, not turning around in my chair as the nameless henchman gave his report.

"I will be leaving the planet soon," I intoned, pausing for a moment and letting the man's back stiffen, "Lord Cooler wants me back on the frontlines."

"B-But if you're gone, General, then who will supervise the project?!" The man asked, his voice fluctuating with panic.

"...Lord Cooler does not see the same value in the project that I do," I responded bluntly. I paused for another moment, then shouted backward.

"Enter, Dr. Gero!"

The man behind me jumped, not expecting me to know that Dr. Gero was right behind the door eavesdropping on the conversation.

"General," The Doctor replied evenly, stepping through the door.

"Congratulations," I said, though my voice had no inflection of joy, "You're now in charge of the project."

"What if the Lieutenants become a problem, General?" The Doctor responded.

"You have permission to kill them," I responded evenly, "Do whatever you need to continue to project. I have just one condition, Doctor…"

"Yes, General?" 

A large, shark-like grin filled my face. I spun around, locking eyes with the Doctor.

"Don't blow up the planet."

Yeah, definitely an XP farm.

Gray stared down at the chaos below him - a barren coast filled with craters, bodies, and a battle. A very slow battle.

Seriously, they're using laser guns? This is all Frieza sent to take over Earth?

The last line of defense - or, the second to last line of defense, as Gray assumed that Raditz's squad was the actual last line - was a collection of various aliens. Most of them didn't seem to be similar races, as the group looked almost like a rainbow with all the colors of their skin. They were huddled behind - and Gray wasn't kidding about this - flipped-over cars.

Semi-trucks, Kia's, Hyundai's - you named it. A huge line of cars were flipped on their side, creating make-shift barricades for the alien soldiers - the majority of whom were wielding laser pistols. It only took Gray a moment to realize why they were using such a stupid tactic. There were hundreds of figures scattered around the rolling hills and mountains that led down to the coast, and all of them looked familiar.

Tall, lanky orange-haired men were scattered across the landscape, their hands occasionally rising as they launched a Ki blast at the wall of vehicles. It looked less like a battle and more like the Vier's having fun watching the aliens run and scatter with every attack. 

A Vier floating above casually raised his hand, sending a Ki blast down into the barricade. The impact sent a huge semi-truck flying into the air, and two green aliens behind it scattered behind a different vehicle.

Well, it seems stupid, but I guess it helps them not get 1-shot?

"Whatever," Gray hummed, floating far above even the Viers with Celia, Asuna, Saeko, Ranfan, and Piccolo. Whether the Frieza Force soldiers were incompetent or not wasn't any of his business - he just needed to keep them alive. So, he raised his hand, a familiar finger gun forming.

There was no reaction among the invading androids as a bullet blasted through the head of a high-flying Vier. So, Gray simply raised his hand again, starting what could only be described as an XP farm.

"In the sky!" It took nearly 10 deaths before the other Viers realized what was happening, and Gray was instantly assaulted by an army of Ki blasts. He casually swiped his hand upward, a volley of Ki balls appeared above him and then shot down.

Gray's stronger blasts tore through the Vier's, resulting in a shower of XP as some were taken out in one hit. 

"I won't have a chance to get any at this rate," Saeko hummed to his left, the girl's sword sitting in her left hand, and a wooden one resting in her right.

"I'll slow down for you," Gray responded, rolling his wrist as he stretched his arm, "I'll join you, I need to get some more sword experience."

Gray raised his hand, catching the wooden sword as Saeko casually tossed it to him. 

"You should take better care of it," Saeko said, her eyes pouring over the useless-looking blade, "How many times have you almost lost it now?"

"Yeah, yeah," Gray waved her off, holding up the sword in front of him, "That's what you're here for!"

But, she's right. This sword is badass as fuck, and I feel like I leave it behind every fight.

Gray's sword, [King's Obelisk], had been left on the ground during his fight with Dorro's men, but luckily Saeko had enough thought to go back down and look for it while Gray was unconscious.

"You use a sword?" Piccolo asked, glancing at the blade. As he did, he casually raised his hand a deflected a Ki-blast as the Vier's turned their attention upward.

"Not really," Gray answered, "But… this one's special."

And, I have a chance to finally test it out!

Gray had never come close to completing the million-ki cost that came with charging up the sword. However, now that his total Ki was sitting at over 2 million, he would be able to do so easily.

Gray held the sword up in front of him, pouring his Ki into it. The bottom of the hilt turned pitch black, the dark material slowly crawling up the wooden sword. It climbed beyond the hilt, reaching the blade itself, and continued upward. Eventually, the rickety wooden blade shifted into a sleek, pitch-black. It didn't stop there - the tip of the blade became even darker. Soon after, a black aura seeped out the top, flowing downward and enveloping the blade completely.

"Damn," Gray grinned, staring at the sword. He tilted it sideways, giving it an experimental swing. As he did, his eyes widened.

The black aura shot outward from the blade, forming a large, widening black blast of solid Ki. It was sleek and cylinder-esque, almost as if a blade of black wind had been flung outward. The Ki seemed to freeze in the air for a moment, and then, as if someone had unfrozen time, it disappeared. To the untrained eye, it would've looked like the Ki had dissipated into nothing. 

To Gray's Ki-enhanced eyes, he watched as the Ki shot outward toward the ground. It cut through the air, tearing at the unsuspecting Viers. Trees, rocks, mountains, and robots alike were not safe.

The notifications seemed near-endless, Gray gaining an insane amount of XP and coins. The aftermath of the strike became apparent a second later. A rumbling rang out into the landscape, rocks sliding down the side of the nearby mountain. Trees tumbled over, cut clean in half. Snow rolled down the mountain, starting an avalanche as the ground from under it was destroyed. The car barricade tumbled over, every car cut perfectly in half. Robot and alien bodies alike bled out on the snowy floor.

Gray blinked, staring down at the destruction below, along with the hundreds of notifications around him. He mentally brushed them away, bringing up his stat sheet to see the final aftermath. As he did, his eyes widened in shock.

One swing of the sword, and I got all that?!

I remember when I had to work for shit. When I had to risk my life fighting Kolra, or fucking Yamoshi, to get gains like this.

A huge grin spread across his face.

When did this become a cheat-skill isekai?!

"...I guess I won't have any fun," Saeko said dryly from his side, her eyes also slightly wide at the carnage below.

"That was fucking awesome," Gray finally said, his grin becoming even wider 

"That was… insane," Asuna muttered.

"Insanely cool! Good job!" Ranfan cheered, patting Gray on the arm.

"Almost 'insanely cool,'" Celia shot her down, the girl frowning at the crater-riddling land below, "You just killed the people we were meant to protect."

Gray blinked again, looking over the notifications and spotting the large amount of 'Frieza Force Soldier's mixed in with the Viers.

Never mind, still nightmare mode.

"Shit," He muttered, "How the hell was I supposed to know it would do that? I was just giving it a little test swing."

"It's fine," Celia sighed, starting to descend downward, "They were likely just fodder to give the strong soldiers some time to rest. There are multiple energy signals underground. That's where the actual Frieza Force stronghold is."

Gray nodded, reaching out his senses and confirming her words. There was a mass of power levels within the ground under them - seemingly under the snow and sand littering the ground. 

Then, as if summoned by their conversation, the ground opened. A seemingly normal space of snow sitting next to a large crater flung upward, the snow rolling off. As it did, a head poked out.

"They… they're gone?!" The voice shouted back down into the underground hideout, and Gray blinked as he looked at the man, recognizing him as one of the Saiyans in Raditz's squad.

"The hell do you mean they're gone?!" A familiar voice came out, a hand reaching up and shoving past the man. The familiar face of Raditz, looking far worse than the last time Gray had seen him, came poking out.

The man was still one-armed, but his long mane of hair was much shorter, assumedly because half of it had been burnt off during his fight with Gray. He was covered in blood and dirt, with bruises and scorch marks covering his cracked Saiyan army. 

He climbed up the ladder in the hole, stepping onto the coast and glancing around. His eyes were twitching, and he looked as if he hadn't slept for a while.

Which - he might not have, considering that Cooler's forces were hovering outside the Frieza Force stronghold for the last week.

"Where the hell did they go?! Get up here!" Raditz shouted back down the hole, and there was a flurry of movement as Gray's group casually floated hundreds of feet above them. Bodies started pouring out of the hole, many of which Gray recognized as Saiyans. 

"We found them," Celia said simply, staring down at the remnants of the Raditz's squad. The squad had already been diminished in numbers during the initial ambush on Earth, but those numbers seemed even lower now. The previously 30-strong squad now looked to be about half that size.

"We shouldn't leave them waiting," Gray hummed, looking down as a hungry grin spread across his lips. He started descending faster, the rest of his group following behind him. A moment later, Raditz spotted them.

"Y-You?!" He shouted up, his body tensing as he glared at Gray.

"Me," Gray confirmed cockily, "Did ya miss me, captain?"

"Bastard," Raditz gritted back, his hand forming a fist, "Where the hell did those orange cowards go?!"

"To the android afterlife," Gray answered with a grin, finally landing in front of him. The squad around Raditz stiffened, all of them ready for a fight at a moment's notice. Gray's group looked much more relaxed in comparison as they landed behind him.

"You took them all out?" Raditz asked doubtfully. Gray nodded, and Raditz relaxed slightly, "Hah, maybe you are useful after all. Fine, give me an apology and I'll forget about what you did!"

Gray blinked, staring at the Saiyan captain. Then, he started to chuckle. The chuckle became louder, turning into full-blown laughter.

"Seriously? I think I should be saying that," Gray finally spoke, his laughter dying down as he smirked at Raditz, "But, I don't think you're all that useful. Get on your hands and knees, then start begging. Beg, and maybe I'll let you live."

"You crazy bastard!" Raditz shouted at him, his body tensing again as he glared at Gray, "You little brat, I'm a Saiyan elite! You dare to moc-"

Raditz's eyes widened, his words dying in his throat as his body became dead still. The world seemed to freeze for a moment as Gray disappeared. Raditz slowly turned his head, glancing down at his remaining arm. What had once been a muscular limb was now an empty space, blood flowing down from his shoulder.

"I said…" Gray casually dropped Raditz's unattached arm onto the snowy ground below, his pitch-black blade leaning on his shoulder. Slowly, a large, almost evil, smirk formed on his face as he towered over Raditz from behind.

"Beg."
