Omniscience in Marvel

Chapter 123: Omniscience in Marvel 119

A/N: Before I drop this two Chapters for today, I feel like I should say this now since my mind is already made up and time literally waits for no one.

First of all, I began writing my first Fanfic: Naruto: Back in Ancient Times out of fun. I simply loved the idea of Reincarnating at the point of beginning in any story.

I loved it cause it opened up doors to lots and lots of possibilities. However, back then, I think I was in my first semester as a 300 level student who was trying to make ends meet.

Yes, I had and still have parents but their only responsibility as they've made it abundantly clear all my life is to pay my fees, feed me and keep me sheltered/clothed.

There were no pocket money given to me and my siblings, only enough to transport us to and from school and enough to buy some snacks. My family basically think education is the all plus all.

I don't.

So anyways, way back then, as a kid forced to enter the university instead of pursuing my dream as a footballer, I was always in my head. Nothing around me seemed authentic enough other than my anime, novels, manga, manhwa and manhua. Ah, there's also Fanfictions.

Back then, I didn't know I could also write them and was just consuming content.

That was when my lil bro brought to my attention that there was a way to write fanfictions and I go hooked. Along the line, I saw my book take shape but then there was the pressing issue of money.

My money.

The one I can do whatever I wish to with.

That was when Patreon came to my attention. And the rest is history... I think.

The point I'm trying to make is that I am currently a graduated engineer with nothing engineering related in my head.😅😅, and I gotta face life a little bit.

It was my Patrons that basically funded my current one room lodge that'll be expiring soon and the cost of living in my country isn't friendly at all, so I am thinking of writing an original.

I wrote one earlier but I stopped due to little to no imagination and motivation. However, I'm thinking of doing that now that I have a few days left for my rent till the end of december so I'll probably be less active on Webnovel.

Apparently Webnovel isn't kind to authors that aren't Indigenous writers so I might moving to a new App.

My books are well ahead on my Patreon so feel free to subscribe. Its $5,$10,$15 depending on how generous you're feeling.

Title - Timeskip

…

Tilda's eyes hung wide open as she beheld Leucadius' Godly aura. It was so radiant and freeing that she just wished to remain in that one moment forever, but before she could sink further into that thought, she snapped out of it.

Luckily for her Leucadius wasn't exerting the aura with an intent to captivate her.

"You…who are you?" she asked, her voice filled with awe..

Leucadius, with a dramatic flourish, responded, "Remember this and keep it close to your heart. Heaven and earth may perish, but I shall not. The sun and moon may decay, but I am eternal. In the blink of an eye, through the ages, I am everlasting!"

There was a long pause following which Tilda raised an eyebrow, a small smirk playing at the corners of her lips. "You…I feel like you've been waiting forever to use those lines."

Leucadius faltered, a hint of embarrassment creeping into his expression. "Eh..? Ho-How did you know?"

Tilda chuckled softly, her respect for him evident even in her teasing. "Just a hunch. You're quite the poet, Leucadius."

"It's good that you know."

Leucadius POV.

A few years had passed by since that incident and currently, Tilda was Earth's current sorcerer or sorceress supreme. It was amusing having to introduce her to many major and minor Gods, both physically and through group video chats.

Her reactions were priceless and soon, she already had her own clique amongst the Goddesses, Frejya too, and that was due to her husband's interest in the person who claims to protect the Earth from external invaders.

It was a good thing she'd come to understand that Good and Evil was just a Matter of perspective. It is a pity that Humans were complicated creatures. Anything outside of their conventional thinking becomes marked as wrong.

I had done evil things in my time leading the Israelites that included ordering them to slaughter cities and all its inhabitants, men, women and children. Pregnant women even, and while that constitutes as Evil it didn't change the fact that I was also good.

And for me, that is all that matters. If you think I am wrong, come talk it out with me. I won't be sure I'll have the self control to refrain from pulverizing you though.

Apparently, amongst the humans, the Industrial Revolution began. A couple years ago in 1712 created the Steam Engine. I was sure Phastos would be more than pleased with this.

With this technology, a whole world of science and technology would be opened to them.

Newton's principles had already laid foundations for classical mechanics.

In Britain, a revolution had taken place, publicly known as the American Revolution that began 1775 and ended in 1783. This was a revolution I was happy to have my Human family have a hand in.

In the end, thirteen colonies gained independence which served to decorate the family situated in that region.

In France, the French Revolution kicked up and spanned a decade from 1789 to 1799, all in a bid to overthrow the monarchy with the establishment of a republic.

Being a strong advocate of allowing the natural flow of things, I recognised the end of an era and the beginning of a new one and had my Human family heavily invest in the revolution.

This led to the family gaining a ministerial role in the new republic. It was all good as long as I didn't participate personally…which I didn't.

Anyways, along with the help it provided during wars, the steam engine technology also made agriculture boom during these periods.

The 18th century was pleasant in a lot of ways but it just happened that the 19th century didn't stay silent for long. In 1837 Samuel Morse invented a new technology and language that would go down in history. The Morse Code and Telegraph.

Following that, Charles Darwin went on to lose his Theory of Evolution in his Book "On the Origin of Species."

This book raised a lot of controversy in the science community and remained till the creation of the telephone in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell.

In that same century, Slave Trading was abolished in a few leading countries much to the dismay of a couple circle of Gods. The Eternals, despite being averse to it, couldn't interfere, and neither could I.

In the later moments of the 19th century, due to the excessive usage of Steam Related technology, Industrial Pollution became a trend and this lasted till the 20th century.

Thomas Edison, Nicolas Tesla and a few others have all made the discovery, invention and improvements of Electricity during the previous century but it wasn't widespread yet.

During earlier periods of the century, the discovery of penicillin was made and it was largely accidental and occurred through a combination of serendipity and scientific curiosity.

In 1928, Scottish bacteriologist Alexander Fleming was conducting research on staphylococci bacteria at St. Mary's Hospital in London.

Fleming had just returned from a two-week vacation and noticed that one of his petri dishes containing staphylococci had been contaminated with mold (later identified as *Penicillium notatum*).

Fleming observed that the mold inhibited the growth of the surrounding bacteria. He realized that the mold produced a substance that killed the bacteria.

Fleming named the substance penicillin and published his findings in 1929. However, he was unable to isolate penicillin in a stable form for widespread use.

That was already impressive in and of itself and I had the family in Britain buy out the recipe and hire scientists who'll further improve it. However it turns out would be entirely up to them, but this way, they'd have a hand in the pharmaceutical sector in the future.

…

On October 29, a day that would forever be known as Black Tuesday, those cracks gave way. The market crashed. In a matter of hours, fortunes were lost, and dreams were shattered.

The once bustling trading floor fell eerily silent as the magnitude of the disaster became clear. Panic spread like wildfire. Banks failed as people rushed to withdraw their savings, only to find the coffers empty. The American dream had turned into a nightmare.

As winter set in, the streets of cities across the United States were filled with the unemployed. Factories closed, and production ground to a halt. The once-thriving economy was now a ghost of its former self.

Breadlines stretched for blocks, and soup kitchens struggled to keep up with the demand. Homes were foreclosed, and families were forced to live in makeshift shantytowns known as Hoovervilles, named derisively after President Herbert Hoover.

The banks, having lost the trust of the public, continued to fail. With no credit available, businesses couldn't invest or grow, and consumers, already strapped for cash, stopped spending altogether. It was a vicious cycle, one that seemed to have no end.

The crash of the stock market was just the beginning. Banks that had invested heavily in the market found themselves in financial trouble. As news of bank failures spread, people rushed to withdraw their savings, causing even more banks to collapse.

The lack of confidence in the financial system led to a severe contraction in credit. Businesses, unable to secure loans, began to fail. But while all this was going on, the major family that controlled the flow of money was out making a killing.

I couldn't just stand idly so I messaged the Gods I had a relationship with and told them to make a move or two during this period…just out of fun. They could use the D€€ and exchange for human cash at the rate of 1-10,000.

The Globally recognised currency wasn't set yet so it was agreed that it'll be left as Dollars since the United States was a thriving country at the time so it was easily settled.

Some of the Gods who frequently came down did so through their respective means, I couldn't care to know how. It was just amusing to see everything happen.

The computer system currently wasn't smart enough to know that there was a higher Realm beyond its capacity, so all transactions were seamlessly done without attracting any form of attention.

And so, with businesses closing their doors, millions of people lost their jobs. Unemployment soared to unprecedented levels. Families who had once enjoyed the prosperity of the Roaring Twenties now faced poverty and hunger.

Breadlines and soup kitchens became common sights in cities across the United States. The despair was palpable as people struggled to make ends meet.

The Federal Reserve, tasked with managing the country's monetary policy, made a series of critical errors. Instead of lowering interest rates to stimulate the economy, they raised them, exacerbating the economic downturn.

Their failure to provide adequate liquidity to the banking system caused a further contraction in credit, deepening the crisis.

The effects of the Great Depression were not confined to the United States. Countries around the world felt the impact. Europe, still reeling from the aftermath of World War I and burdened by war debts, was hit hard.

Countries that depended on exports, like Canada and Australia, suffered as global demand for their products plummeted. In Latin America, economies dependent on raw material exports faced severe economic hardships.

This made me thank myself for my wisdom in forming several shadow families. What was the point in being a ruling party when something as minimal as money could cause you sleepless nights?

Wasn't it better to even have the flow of money under your control? Some might think it was hypocritical of me to say this considering my son's teachings, but without money, there was rarely any meaning to one's life.

Of course, one could always be content with what their Fields yield, but at the end of the day, there was always this Void that forms when you think of the things you could have but don't.

In an attempt to protect American industries, the U.S. government passed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act in 1930, imposing high tariffs on imported goods.

Other countries retaliated with tariffs of their own, leading to a sharp decline in international trade. The collapse of global trade further deepened the economic crisis, as countries were unable to sell their goods abroad.

Third POV.

"Humans and their petty struggles, eh?" An aged Leucadius sat on a bench in New York's park as he read through the part in the Newspaper detailing this morning's news.

"You don't say…" another aged man nodded in affirmation as he too read through his own papers, the only difference was that his was for a specific gender.

"I can tell from your blushing that we probably aren't thinking of the same thing." Leucadius said with a small smile. "What brings you all the way to my World, Stan, or should I say…TOAA?"

"EH? Can't a God have some time to himself to just while away?" The old man said and gave Leucadius a kook. "Aren't you doing the same?"

Leucadius would've argued that he'd done enough, but decided against it

"Your activities amongst the humans have come to my attention as well." Stan said, causing Leucadius to hum noncommittally.

"I am not interfering with notable individuals like the Stark Family so even in the future, I don't think there'll be much interference." Leucadius replied.

"Hmm, but certain interests could make the two families meet and partner up. By then, perhaps something unbecoming could be born in this Universe."

Leucadius didn't make any remark in consideration to this. "The fact that you're saying it means it is a possibility, one that isn't a problem…right?"

"Hmm, exactly. I'm just saying. It can get annoying having to be summoned unnecessarily, so if there's an occurrence, bear with it."

"Hmm. I've already taken precautions. It won't happen without my consent."

"That's good to know." As soon as these words sounded, Stan was gone.

"Fucking geezer. Comes and goes as he pleases." Leucadius shook his head and went back to his Paper.

…

As prices continued to fall, the real value of debt increased. Individuals and businesses, already struggling, found it even harder to repay their loans. This deflationary spiral caused spending and investment to dry up, pushing the economy deeper into depression.

In 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected President of the United States. He promised a New Deal for the American people, a series of programs aimed at providing relief, recovery, and reform.

The New Deal included large-scale public works projects, financial reforms, and social welfare programs. While these measures helped alleviate some of the hardships of the Great Depression, they were not enough to fully restore the economy.

Other countries also implemented various policies to combat the depression. In Europe, governments expanded social programs and undertook public works projects. However, the economic hardships contributed to political instability in several countries.

In Germany, the rise of the Nazi Party was fueled by the economic desperation of the German people.

The true end of the Great Depression came with the onset of World War II. The war effort required massive industrial production, which created jobs and stimulated economies around the world. Factories that had been idle were now working around the clock to produce weapons and supplies for the war. The increased demand for goods and labor finally brought an end to the economic nightmare that had gripped the world for a decade.

"Hmm. Perhaps it's about time I started getting acquainted with the military…" Leucadius suddenly had a thought. It was about time for certain arcs of the Marvel Story to begin and he wanted to get a good view.
