Chapter 41: Chapter 37 : Rokushiki!!
Although they had heard rumors beforehand, the three CP0 agents were still somewhat surprised when they saw Ian with their own eyes.
An eight-year-old king was a rare and shocking sight, even when considering all of the Blue Sea.
However, aside from his position, this young king was anything but ordinary.
On their way from the harbor, the Wano samurai escorting them proudly mentioned that this young king had single-handedly crushed an entire army.
After all, he was a disciple of Kaido.
Would the Beasts Pirates be gaining yet another monster?
This thought crossed the CP0 agents' minds.
But they didn't care much.
This was a matter for higher-ups to worry about.
No, actually, this was more the Navy's concern, not theirs.
In fact, the young king's background was irrelevant to them.
They were only here to make a deal.
"Your Majesty, Ian,"
The CP0 agent wearing the goat mask stepped forward, adopting a humble posture and speaking in a soft tone, "Shall we begin discussing our cooperation?"
"No rush,"
Ian turned around, leaning against the railing. "Come over and take a look. A good show is about to begin."
A good show?
The goat-masked agent hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward, standing by the railing.
In the square below, a man was about to be executed.
They had noticed this when they arrived.
Was this the "good show" the young king had mentioned?
Did he intend for them to watch an execution?
What a twisted sense of amusement. Should they be surprised? After all, this boy was Kaido's disciple.
Without turning back, Ian spoke, "Fukuroukuju, how are the preparations?"
His top ninja immediately responded, "The ninjas and samurai, hastily redeployed, have already set up around the castle. If the enemy appears, we'll be able to counter them right away."
It was only then that the goat-masked CP0 agent understood.
This child king was fishing.
His target must be the remaining rebel forces in this country.
Down below, Shimotsuki Yasuie knelt silently on the execution platform, his body wrapped in bandages. Two executioner samurai had taken the stage, wiping down their sharp blades with damp towels.
Around the execution platform, the crowd of onlookers showed varying degrees of reluctance in their eyes.
Yasuie was a renowned daimyō of Wano.
Even if he had committed serious crimes, not granting him the opportunity to commit seppuku and instead beheading him outright seemed overly cruel.
It appeared the era of samurai was truly at its end.
The people were still struggling to come to terms with such drastic changes.
One of the executioners stepped forward, raising his sharp katana high. In the next moment, Yasuie would be decapitated.
However, just at that moment, a sharp arrow flew out of nowhere, striking the executioner down.
"Charge! Save Lord Yasuie!"
At the back of the crowd, several samurai suddenly burst out from the houses lining the street.
At the end of the street, the heavy sound of hooves echoed as a group of samurai rode in on horseback.
"Hey, hey, are you kidding me? You actually managed to get a bunch of war horses in the Flower Capital?"
Ian said softly from the top of the keep.
The commotion was rather excessive.
Fukurokuju was immediately covered in sweat, "It's my fault for not being diligent."
But he had a point too; all the ninjas under his command had been dispatched, leaving the Flower Capital's defenses already thin. It was too late to search the capital even if they were recalled urgently.
"I'll immediately dispatch the ambush team."
Fukurokuju prepared to make up for his mistake.
But Ian turned around and looked at the figure in the goat mask, "Can I see the strength of CP0?"
"What?" The figure in the goat mask responded with surprise, "Your Majesty Ian, we are not your subordinates."
CP0 was a special unit directly under the Celestial Dragons, and only the Celestial Dragons could command them.
Ian raised a sharp eyebrow, "Then you might as well leave. If you can't even meet such a request, what's there to discuss about cooperation?"
Tsk.
Ian clearly heard the sound of disapproval from behind the goat mask.
"Please wait a moment."
They compromised.
Terminating the deal was definitely not an option.
If they failed due to such a foolish reason, they would certainly be skinned and stripped of their bones when they returned.
The figure in the goat mask turned, "We'll go."
The remaining two CP0 members did not argue, merely nodding lightly.
In the next second, the three of them jumped down from the top of the keep.
Below.
Shimotsuki Yasuie lifted his head and saw the samurai cutting through the crowd, charging toward the execution platform.
He also saw the rapidly approaching cavalry behind the panicked dispersing crowd.
He felt anxious, "Fall back! I command you to fall back!"
The young monster named Ian was up there in the keep! Even Kaido was there!
How could they possibly win?
But the samurai, who had always followed his orders without question, defied his wishes this time and charged forward fearlessly.
Unstoppable.
"Tempest Kick!"
A loud roar suddenly came from above.
The air was torn apart with a sharp sound like buzzing, as several samurai charging towards the execution platform looked up. In the sky, a deep blue slash fell like a storm.
Shimotsuki Yasuie's eyes widened in shock as a blood-red mist suddenly erupted before him.
The samurai, whom he could name each and every one of, were completely torn apart by the descending storm of slashes, their severed limbs and broken arms scattering through the air.
"No!!"
Shimotsuki Yasuie screamed hoarsely.
A goat mask lightly fell beside him.
Above him, two other CP0 agents dashed through the air, swiftly intercepting the charging cavalry squad.
"Finger Pistol."
One of the CP0 agents, resembling an elegant pianist, lightly tapped the air with his fingers. However, this delicate movement resulted in a torrent of invisible "bullets" raining down.
The advancing samurai and their horses were hit, and in the blink of an eye, blood covered the street.
The other CP0 agent landed directly in the center of the cavalry, seemingly oblivious to the blades aimed at him.
"Iron Block: Steel!"
With a series of crisp clangs, the incoming blades did not harm him in the slightest; instead, the samurai wielding the blades were visibly pained as their weapons were deflected.
The CP0 agent then slightly leaped, raising his right leg and spinning his body, performing "Tempest Kick: Round Slash!"
A massive, circular slash instantly expanded, sweeping through everything around him, including the samurai.
They suddenly found their vision spinning, their bodies flying through the air.
Shimotsuki Yasuie's eyes were bloodshot.
In an instant, everyone was cut in half!
Even the surrounding buildings were severed!
The goat-masked figure nodded slightly, his actions still fairly quick.
He looked at another executioner who was slumped on the ground, "Why are you still dazed? Continue."
The executioner stood up once more behind Shimotsuki Yasuie and raised his blade.
Shimotsuki Yasuie merely stared blankly at the blood-soaked street, his shoulders trembling slightly, and said nothing.
Everything was over.
The blade came down.
Accompanied by the faint gasps of the onlookers, the last daimyo of this country fell.
From now on, the Edo period of Wano Country has officially ended, and the country now has only one ruler.
At the top of the keep.
"Your Majesty Ian,"
The goat-masked figure knelt on a soft cushion, tilting his head to look at Ian, who was casually sitting at the head of the room, "Can we begin now?"
"That technique is called Rokushiki, right? Quite an interesting set of moves."
Ian said enthusiastically, "Teach me, and consider it your sincerity fee."
What?
The goat-masked figure was taken aback.
This kid is asking about Rokushiki?
In the next moment, he shouted angrily, "Your Majesty Ian! Don't push your luck! Rokushiki is a government secret."
Ian glared, an intangible aura roaring out, "Either teach me honestly or get out now! Or…"
"You can have the Navy send troops to fight us! The Beast Pirates are always ready!"
Conqueror's Haki!
This brat!!
The Goat Mask's pupils suddenly constricted.
"Sea Prism Stone never lacked potential buyers."
Ian said coldly, "You can make your choice now."
After all, Kaido said to go ahead and do it.
The Goat Mask, who had been so aggressive moments ago, fell silent.
A few seconds later, he sat back down. "I need to consult with my superior."
