One Piece's Bizzare Adventure

Chapter 37: Son of Plane

On the way back to the Hero Association, Jon received a call from Sitch.

"What, you want me to investigate a secret organization with King?" Jon raised an eyebrow. "Which organization is worth two S-class heroes teaming up to deal with?"

"Be cautious. It's speculated within the Association that the recent plague of mosquitoes ravaging Z-City is likely that organization's doing. Anyway, I'm counting on you."

Upon hearing this, Jon seemed to recall something.

The mosquito plague ravaging Z-City. Wasn't it caused by the Mosquito Girl who escaped from the House of Evolution?

So, the organization Jon and King were going to investigate was the House of Evolution. "No problem. I'll go find King now."

With that, Jon hung up the phone.

Tapping the front seat, he spoke to the driver, Mountain Ape, "To City Y."

"Ah, no problem, Lord Skywalker!"

Mountain Ape didn't dare to refuse and obediently turned the steering wheel.

Fubuki watched with frustration.

We were not your drivers, you jerk!

Two hours later.

"Alright, thank you for your hard work today."

Getting out of the car, Jon gave Fubuki and Mountain Ape a friendly smile.

"I owe you a favor."

After a pause, he looked at Fubuki, who was deliberately wearing a stern face. "As for you, I'm really sorry. I can't solve your problem, not because I don't want to, but because I currently can't defeat Tatsumaki."

With that, Jon waved his hand and walked into the apartment building where King lived without looking back.

As soon as the tall figure disappeared, Fubuki slumped back in the back seat with arms crossed in frustration. "Mountain Ape, let's go home."

"Miss..."

"I said go home!" Fubuki glared. "Don't you listen to me at all?"

Mountain Ape had no choice but to start the car.

Why did everyone bully honest people?

Sigh~ Life was not easy, Mountain Ape sighed.

Jon entered the apartment building and quickly found King's apartmen according to the address given by the Hero Association.

Pressed the doorbell.

In a moment, a burly figure with a rugged face and three scars on his face came out from inside.

"Skywalker."

King nodded in acknowledgment.

There seemed to be a strong sense of oppression emanating from him.

Jon was ecstatic in his heart, but his face was solemn. "I'll be teaming up with you for this mission, Mr. King. I'll be in your care."

(Care? What the hell is that? It should be you taking care of me, right? I'm just a useless bum. Please don't let me die!)

King shook his head slightly. "To be honest, my strength is limited. You'll lead the way for this mission."

"Don't be so modest, Mr. King." Jon smiled. "Although I haven't been in the Association for long, I've heard of your exploit a long time ago. Even Atomic Samurai can't stop praising you."

(Damn it! Who the hell said I'm strong? I'm just a nobody!)

King remained silent.

"Sitch said the Association's exclusive helicopter will take us to the destination. Let's not waste time and set off," Jon extended his hand in invitation.

(Farewell, Mom. I'll be going sail tonight. Don't worry about me, I'm happy. Happy my ass! Mom, I don't want to go. Please give me a call, so I have an excuse!)

King nodded gently, "Let's go."

Because he knew the opponent's strength, Jon wasn't too nervous and chatted all the way.

But the "Strongest Man on Earth" was different.

Although he seemed as calm as an old dog, he was actually quite nervous.

The closer they got to the destination, the faster his heart beat.

"Thud!" "Thud!" "Thud!"

Jon observed quietly on the side.

Indeed, it was the legendary "King Engine," with a truly intimidating presence!

"Mr. King, Mr. Skywalker, we have reached the designated location. The mission objective is three kilometers southeast."

The pilot of the Hero Association's exclusive helicopter turned back to the two and saluted, "I wish you both success!"

"Thank you for your kind words."

Jon smiled and replied, then turned to King, whose complexion was slightly pale.

"Well then, I'll go ahead."

With that, he used his Stand to enter the "Inner World" and disappeared without a trace.

(Wait, don't leave me behind!)

On the seat, King was at a loss.

But under the gaze of the helicopter pilot, he had to pretend to be indifferent and sighed slightly, "Superpowers are really convenient, unlike me, a mere mortal."

"Mr. King, what are you talking about! If you want to, you could have shrunk to inches and leaped thousands of feet already."

The helicopter pilot's face was full of admiration.

(No, no, I don't have that kind of ability, don't be crazy!)

Knowing that too much talk would lead to mistakes, King obediently put on the parachute.

Before his legs started trembling, he gritted his teeth, closed his eyes, and jumped with the parachute.

"As expected of Mr. King, to avoid the shockwave endangering the helicopter, he chose such a simple landing method, which is truly moving."

Imagining it, tears couldn't help but welled up from the pilot's eyes.

But the actual situation was...

"Ah!!! Help!!!"

As the ground got closer and closer, King cried with snot and tears streaming down his face.

Too busy minding his image, he never learned how to use a parachute!

"Oh right! Pull the rope! I seem to have seen it in a movie!"

A flash of inspiration in his mind, King frantically fumbled on the backpack, and by sheer luck, he found the parachute's opening rope.

Without much thought, he pulled it with all his might.

"Whoosh."

The red parachute bloomed like a flower in the sky.

King struggled to maintain balance, but the wind made him dizzy and nauseous.

In the end, he stumbled and landed on the ground, adopting a half-kneeling landing posture.

"Ssss~"

Although the grass was unusually soft, and the parachute provided significant cushioning, it still hurt King quite a bit.

Unbeknownst to him, Jon, who had been observing King's every move with his Color of Observation Haki, was dumbfounded.

Originally, he intended to flash over and rescue King just before he landed.

But the result...

Good lord, the hero has arrived!

Coincidentally, at the moment King landed, a deafening roar came from afar.

The helicopter hadn't flown far yet, so the pilot hurriedly notified the Hero Association via radio only to see that the skycraper had turned into rubbles due to some unknown power.

Upon hearing this in the operations meeting room, all Hero Association staff, including the head, Sitch, couldn't help but gulp down.

They believed that King was so powerful that he could accurately destroy the enemy's base thousand meters away by just landing!

Jon had a mixed feelings.

Compared to the Caped Baldy, the man in front of him looked more like the "Hero" of this world.

All hail King!
