Chapter 55: Chapter 52 Clash at the G8 Base
The calm at the G8 naval base was shattered a week after Satoru had whipped the soldiers into shape. Despite the naval team adapting to his personalized training, trouble found its way to their doorstep.
Three pirate crews, each under the Hundred Beasts Pirates banner, had set their sights on the G8 base.
The base alarm blared across the compound, sending soldiers scrambling into formation. Reports came pouring in.
"Sir! Three pirate crews are heading straight for us: the Tiger Pirates, the Wolf Pirates, and the Lion Pirates!"
Satoru, standing tall and composed, scanned the horizon. "Hmm. They're all aligned with Kaido's crew, aren't they? Typical."
Having studied the files on nearby pirate groups, Satoru immediately recognized the names of the captains:
- **Tiger Benlaga(Garen)**, a user of the *Tiger-Tiger Fruit* with a bounty of 400 million berries.
- **Wolf Gert(Rurik)**, a beastly figure infamous for savagery, with a bounty of 500 million berries.
- **Lion Geert(Larkus)**, boasting the same primal energy and a bounty equal to his wolf counterpart.
"Three of them at once, huh? What a welcoming party," Satoru muttered, cracking his knuckles.
Beside him, Colonel Krar, the adjutant, saluted sharply. "Orders, sir?"
"I'll take care of the captains. You and the rest of the men handle their subordinates. That shouldn't be a problem, right?"
"Not at all, sir," Krar said with confidence. "As long as those three captains stay out of the fight, their lackeys are no match for us."
Satisfied, Satoru nodded. "Good. Let's make this first operation a success."
---
As the pirate ships neared the base, the cannons roared to life, unleashing a barrage of firepower. But the attacks were stopped mid-air—powerful hands or devil fruit abilities had intercepted them.
Satoru didn't flinch. *If they couldn't even block a cannonball, they wouldn't have lasted this long in the New World.*
When the ships finally docked, the pirate captains disembarked, followed by their crews. The pirate force stood opposite the navy soldiers, who were lined up behind Satoru.
A mocking voice rang out as a sharp-beaked, wiry man stepped forward. "Hahaha! The rumors were true! The navy's really scraping the bottom of the barrel, sending a kid to lead this base."
The man was **Wolf Gert**, and his tone was as condescending as it was loud.
"Miscellaneous cultivators, huh?" Satoru said, his tone neutral.
Gert froze. "What did you just call me?"
"Your name. It suits you." Satoru's faint smile was unreadable behind his ever-present sunglasses.
Before Gert could respond, the other two captains approached. Unlike Gert's loud arrogance, **Benlaga** and **Geert** exuded a more menacing aura.
"Your confidence is amusing, kid," Benlaga said, his voice steady yet threatening.
Geert chimed in with a guttural growl. "The navy will learn today what happens when you challenge the kings of the jungle."
Satoru smirked, crossing his arms. "Kings, huh? I don't sense any *Conqueror's Haki* from either of you. Seems like you've wasted those devil fruits."
That statement was enough to silence even the mighty Geert for a moment.
"Benlaga. Geert. Gert. You're all here to die, right?" Satoru's words hung heavy in the air, his calm voice brimming with confidence.
---
The navy soldiers tightened their grips on their weapons, the tension mounting as they prepared for the clash. Behind Satoru, Krar couldn't help but smirk. Their captain's unshakable composure was contagious.
The pirates weren't laughing anymore. The real battle was about to begin.
